I have slipped back into my slothful ways 😔 Wednesday was a breezy day but with damp air (no rain) so DSis did her washing & managed to get it partially dry - finished off in td. DH fed the worms, filled the bird feeders & composted vegetable peelings. I dealt with my post - writing cheques, shredding & filing. The rest of the day I spent clearing down programmes from tv planner. Put out 2 bags of garden waste - as collection will cease soon. Dinner was hm cottage pie using up the last of the carrots & potatoes accompanied by cauliflower. Wudupa. After dinner DSis & I watched the first 2 episodes of House of the Dragon. We were totally unimpressed - sadly not one single character to either love or hate 🙁
Thursday & the good weather has deserted us - has rained on & off all morning. Have written a shopping list as DH will be braving the weather to go to the sm.

EnergyShifter, very pleased to hear that your special day went so well 😊 (in spite of the knee pain)Ashamed to say I had to look up Gaia exhibit - what a marvellous exhibit & how wonderful that you have seen it, with the added bonus of seeing Tower Bridge going up 😊 Excellent decluttering & congratulations to your niece 👏

Hi. Rain all day here too. I have made a start on the sashiko quilt.I don’t know how I still find things to go but I do.New T shirt of Dd1’s that she doesn’t want. 2 pens used up.I have unearthed some ornaments that I have spread around the house. I will see how they get on. I never realised that I like brass. Some candle sticks, bells of many kinds! When I was a kid me n my cousin had to walk to my Grandma’s every Saturday morning and clean her many brasses. Younger cousins came up the ranks and took over when we were 10, thankfully. I moved on to baking for her after brass cleaning. I had sort of forgotten about it. I cannot imagine an 8 year old walking a couple of miles, working hard and walking home again these days. Certainly not without getting paid 🤣

Decluttering... good term - not quite so easy to do!
We moved house 11 months ago and thought we'd done a reasonably good job of decluttering - one skip numerous giveaways on our local Nextdoor website and even a few sales on ebay - so how is it we've moved to a bigger house and we are no more 'minimalist' than before??
We are doing a great deal of renovation so it might not be as bad as it looks, but it does appear that we haven't really made much headway!
I'm retiring at the end of the year, so here's hoping I'll have more time to actually get to those cupboards and drawers7 -
Power ball (cracked) - bin
Felt pen - bin
Toy jeep - cs
13 Hunchback of Notre Dame cards - keep (and see if the rest of the game appears)
Papa Smurf figure - cs
Empty box - recycled
This is a difficult bag. Lots of small bits and pieces belonging to different games.
I will sort. I will not be beaten

Lots of random bits and bobs carefully dusted and.... binned 🤣
Carrier bag (holey) - binned
Battery - recycled
I now have a coffee table covered in carefully dusted plastic figures: cowboys, Indians, knights, Moors, Robin Hood and some of his Merry Men, plus some odds and ends that recognisably belong to other sets eg a Thomas Tank Engine carriage and lego bricks.
I've made enough decisions for today. I'll sleep on it.

Having a complete nightmare here. DD was seemed completely better and went to nursery for a day and then took a turn for the worse unexpectedly. She’s now very clingy and I am trying and failing to work full time and look after her. I’m sat with my work laptop right now, but I just don’t want to do it. It wouldn’t be so urgent if I wasn’t off next week, although our time away for a few days doesn’t look likely given DD is unwell.
A few bits and pieces decluttered, although mainly earlier in the week:
4432 - old washing powder used up
4433 - bathroom supplies used up
4434 - 4437 - packaging used up
4438 - 4447 - digital photos deleted
4448 - digital notes deleted
4449 - kids clothes no longer fit
