Thursday’s weather improved to being dry & brighter 🙂
The reason I couldn’t concentrate was that I was feeling guilty about doing absolutely no decluttering 😔😞 So I bucked up my ideas & went upstairs & sorted 2 shelves in my wardrobe. Updated my contents list & managed to thin out a tad 🙂 DH home from sm & everything put away. Sadly no Walls sausages for DSis & no shelf space in the sm either. However for the first time in months my magazine was available 😉 Dinner was pork steaks, mash, broccoli & cauliflower. Wudupa. Just paid the milkman - 2 weeks of milk & eggs has gone up by £4.20 😱
1783 - 1784 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1785 - 1788 Kitchen & Room of Doom detritus, 2 opened ood bottles of skin care potions
1789 - 1791 One scarf & 2 neck warmers into CS bag
Back to cheerleading 😉
Siebrie, sounds like a very productive weekend with your parents 👏. I was very pleased to hear that your father is suffering no side effects from his chemo - long may that be the case 🤞 Looking forward to seeing the photo of the hand made doll’s house 🙂
You are definitely motoring along roundtuit 👏
Oops vulpix 😬 Please bear in mind that it is only 2lbs per month & that doesn’t take much effort - just taking your eye off the ball 😉 Great work decluttering & earning some money at the same time👏
Very supportive post florianatwobob 😊
nannywindow, sometimes a bit of retail therapy is the only way to go 😉 Remember you haven’t actually added any clutter 👏 Sending gentle hugs for your DH 🤗
Good work vulpix 👏
Nice to see you weenancy 👋 I see that despite your various health/physical issues you are still working like a Trojan. Please, please take care 🙏 I see that your roommates are still “taking the Michael” & I am being uncharacteristically restrained 😅 Everything crossed that Friday’s book sale brings in shedloads of $ 🤞
Good work roundtuit 👏I foresee that your like with like is going to result in a substantial amount of decluttering 🔮
Interesting question Floss 🤔
TC77, I think you should spend some time in the TLC carriage 😊 Good luck with donating the bed 🍀 that will create a good deal of space 🙂
bit_by_bit, if your DH keeps up the good work I will be awarding a gold star 😉 Fingers crossed that MiL just has a cold & that you have no adverse effects from the booster & flu jabs 🤞
roundtuit, lovely to hear that your mindset is changing so much that you just accept an invite 👏 Excellent work re the contents of the Room of Doom 👏 Yippee to locating your suitcase 🥳 I have great hopes of you locating the flat pack box 🙂 and yes it is very exciting 😊 It always gives me a real boost when I find something that I have been searching for 🙂 I also have a bag of bags - need to check which CS would like them 😉
Excellent work 2Scratters 👏 How very cheeky of DB 😉 Keep up the good work knitting blankets 😊
Good work vulpix 👏 Also thanks for the reminiscing - it is surprising what we are reminded of when decluttering 🙂
Nice to see a new face Pembers50 😊 You just need to remind yourself how crowded your new home would be if you hadn’t decluttered prior to moving 😉 Hope the renovations are completed in a timely manner 🤞Retirement/decluttering to look forward to 😅
You are a more dedicated declutterer than I am roundtuit 😉 When I start a bag/box full of bits I usually seal it back up & try to find something easier 🤣 Excellent work re the Room of Doom 👏 it will soon be just a room 🤞
QueenJess, so very sorry to hear that DD has had a relapse 🙁 but well done on the decluttering you have done 👏 Sending get well wishes to DD & Mr Sandman to both you & DD 🙂
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Keep up the good work re unsubscribing from emails TC77 👏

Good morning!Managed to declutter a fabulous month in Australia and 2 shifts at work since I last posted! We had an offer on mums house whilst I was away which was dependent on an extra survey which was carried out 3 weeks previously. My solicitor/ their solicitor had heard nothing from them at all this time last week then out of the blue on Tuesday they’d asked to have entry for today Friday! Waaaah!I’d said no as there was still a garage to empty and two big heavy furniture items and had asked for a further 2 weeks to settle. Which would have brought it to a standard ( in Scotland) 6 week entry date, however they countered with a can we clear it all and get in on Friday. Well do you know what if you really want to you can. So it’s been a dash to empty the last few things which have ended up inside my house! So far I’ve rehomed a drill, some plug extension units and a clothes airer. Getting picked up tomorrow.I’ve filled 2 bags to go to charity shop. There’s a nice mirror that I might try to sell first and / or charity shop if it doesn’t sell.A bin liner full went in the rubbish bin which thankfully was half empty anyway.
A box of cardboard/paper and a pile of plastic had just been put out for recycling which is thankfully this morning.I’ve now go more cleaning products than I need. However they’ve been opened so I can’t donate them and I will use them up eventually ( things like 4 bottles of cream cleaner, 3 of window cleaner etc , furniture polish etc , enough dusters to dust the whole town! ) Anyway I have 2 sturdy shopping bags filled with them that I need to put away somewhere. There’s an old cine camera that belonged to my grandad and assorted stuff. Sister is like oh that could be sold so I actually think I will give it to her in a couple of weeks and she can sell it!And as if that all wasn’t enough I went through my wardrobe yesterday as I was fed up of the pile of holiday clothes on the floor waiting to be put away. So I’ve a bag full to be donated. There’s a couple of things that belonged to my late husband. Still have a few things but I needed the space! And hopefully someone else will get the use of them. And wardrobe is tidied and all holiday stuff is put away! Till next time!So today ( fingers crossed it all goes through) I declutter a whole house. And a whole load of stress. And begin a new path in life. It was very stressy clearing out the house over the summer months but cathartic in it’s own way as I went through it all. I was very overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that was held in one house and it’s made me think about the stuff I have I my own home ( you know…4 bottles of cream cleaner etc 😆) and whilst I will never be a minimalist I don’t want to just be hanging on to stuff for the sake of it.Onwards!9 -
Morning xx
I've brought another bin bag down to sort through this evening 😊
I know what I'm doing with the things I left on the coffee table over night. So that'll be cleared this evening.
And while I was waiting for the kettle to boil just now I removed from the kitchen worktop:
2 batteries- recycled
Where's Stig book - DS
Every little helps 😊
I hope everyone has a good day. Paid stuff for me then it's weekend woot woot.

@mhagster well done on clearing and selling the house.
I look at the things my dad kept ,just the no of torches, light bulbs etc bit having the instructions for each item is great when we give it away. We're struggling to move things ! And my house chaotic. This weekend trying to tidy my house and will be at my dads end of next week.
@vulpix I need to declutter lbs as can't get in 95% of clothes esp the ones I like
Hope to have more to report positively!9 -
Did some tidying rather than decluttering last weekend however one old frying pan did go.Took 2 pairs crutches back to the hospital this week so now only have the one pair that I use all the time - it’s amazing how much space they were taking up.
Finally sorted out “erroneous switch” of my electricity supplier and my account has been credited with the first £66 instalment.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅8 -
Welcome @Pembers . I can highy recommend retirement
Sorry to hear DD is ill @QueenJess, can you take half a day carer leave?
Rough day yesterday after doublejabs Wednesday. Better today but DH not so good. He had both yesterday.
More chaos in the family as SiL 'helper/friend' over helping as well as providing dogs. I finally spoke to her and she has no intention of backing out. Drunken nephew and his wife on the phone last night as upset that this person says she is looking after them. Both BiL and SiL have been born neuro diverse (learning difficulties in old money) and are vulnerable.
Trying to get balance between SiL and BiL rights to choice adn have who they want doing what they want and protecting them.
DD coming home today for the weekend. Just got some ends to sew in for her blanket. BiL and SiL going back.
I hope to take the last of the bags to the CS.

I found a full binliner lying in the middle of the living room and wondered what it contained. Turns out it's husband's clothes that I had no place to stack before, so they are now in his clothes bin (we all have a lidded bin to store our clothes during the renovations) and the liner is in the plastic recycling.

@bit_by_bit I don’t really have a strict work routine. It’s more as long as I join the meetings I need to and the work required gets done, they don’t really care what I do. Been the same for so long I think I would fail under a 9-5 enforced job! I think people work out after a time it’s better to let me do what I want as the work all gets done.
The up side is that I can start work a bit late if I’m tired, take time out whenever I want for kids school stuff, dentist appointments etc etc and definitely not be working full days if I’m not busy to catch up in the house. The downside is that sometimes it is busy and I will be working all hours or like now when I’m not hugely busy but there was something I had to get out today otherwise I am delaying a whole team of people. I finished it last night though, so if I don’t log in today it should be ok and everything else will wait until I’m back from holiday.2025 decluttering: 3,235🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Well it's taken me until today to come anywhere near to catching up with myself. I had an afternoon off yesterday and slept nearly all afternoon and through the night. This morning I had a burst of energy and did a huge tidy up, clean, washing load and caught up with my work notes. I've got a free afternoon but I feel tired and feel I need to listen to my body. My knee is still sore and I noticed there is loads of bruising again so I need to take it easy. An afternoon in watching Netflix and a bit of a potter if I get a second wind.
890. donation made (that's all of them done now)
891. Messaged DS' Care Coordinator to chase health check up.
Thanks for your good wishes - Nannywindow, TC77 & Mrs SD
Mrs SD - The Gaia exhibition is well worth seeing - I think its on for a bit longer.
QueenJess - Sorry to hear that your little one got sick again.
