Weenancy, I like your must do idea. I will use that today. I haven’t physically written a to do list for ages. I have realised I feel overwhelmed when I carry everything in my head.Mr V has generously given me his cough and headache.I will write a list and then crack on. DD1 visiting from Scotland tomorrow. Also tomorrow bit by bit visiting with her daughter and Mr V and I are booked in for an afternoon tea. Need to eat medical, vet and builder frogs today as well as laundry and sentry box painting. If I only achieve some of my list it is a step in the right direction.Siebrie. Sad news for the couple who have split but a gain for you in your renovation. The dust! I feel your pain.Vx:12

Emerging from the pantry to catch up. (I said I'd be gone for some time!)Hugs to all those with problems or going through a challenging time, and GET WELL SOON to the unwell. It sounds like more people are having side-effects from this round of vaccinations. Mine's due on 2 October and I'm dreading it. I've been flat on my back for at least a week with each of the others - felt worse than when I actually tested positive! (Though, tbf, that might be because of the vax. Might've been a lot more serious without it...)The decluttering goes slowly. The book I'm trying to follow is good but, as I said, there's no Room of Doom. It'd be really good for a place that just needs clearing. But it's not as clear cut if, like me, you need to reorganise the room, IYSWIM,So, rather than just being able to sort the pantry, I want to put it to a slightly different use by keeping everything I need to access for immediate use (foodwise) in there. This means (eg) removing the electric heaters and storing elsewhere, rehousing the cleaning and bathroom stocks etc to convert the double cupboard in the hall into a store for what someone - forgotten who, sorry - calls 'overstock'. That means sorting and dating. Plus I want to decant flour, dried good etc into storage containers (I've been saving 4 pint milk bottles for weeks. so 2 killing clutterbirds with one labeller-shaped stone!
)
I'm also making the kitchen layout more logical as I go by revising the location of various workstations, clearing the related small appliances from the work surfaces to the lower cupboards with containers etc in the higher ones. It'll be nice when it's finished...Sadly, I've got a laaaaarge declutter this afternoon. Going to pick up the car from the repair shop...
A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

Decluttered some worry with good legal advice but need time to follow it up. Decorator been and although he took knobs off the doors to paint they needed a good clean - some sort of white resin and metal and looking fab. Recognising that overwhelm will pass as will other moods/emotions
managed to do wash in lunchtime and keep DD2 in food and water leaving outside her room, apparently for school only need 3 days off if they feel ok. Have to see if she does for Friday. To do list getting longer but advice has decluttered some anxiety.

Off to NW for a couple of days tomorrow. I did get a work start date for damaged floor but couldn't do it so waiting for another option. I paid the excess - just hope they get started soon. I don't want to be floorless at Christmas. DS2 has new job so he is very happy about that. Water charges have gone up - extra people in house I guess. Very pleased as I have only used one tank of petrol throughout September. Will need to fill up next week.
1137 Bag of plastics to reccyling
1138-1141 Three phones and odd cables to recycling - I think I actually have a working landline now.
Just noticed signature settings have gone to pot again and reverted to what they were some time ago. Can't remember how many stars and medals I had.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Result - the council have agreed to fund equipment for DD2 - to loan it to her... worth escalating and the flurry of detailed emails quoting their policies and strategies!
Another email frog final attempt over an issue, fingers crossed for a result.
Feel these should count as more than 2.
Physical decluttering has to wait.
Last day of decorator tomorrow .. at least until November so will be decluttering £

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday has been a mixed day - some sunshine but mainly overcast, damp & chilly 🙁 DH went to doctors for a blood test - weighed (has lost a couple of kg), blood pressure lower than last visit ✅, heart rate 43bpm - regardless of his build, weight & lack of exercise he has an athletes heart rate 🤣 I have had a little flurry of activity - I stripped the bed, DH helped me rotate the mattress & I have remade the bed with flannelette bedding & the summer weight duvet as it is getting rather chilly overnight. I have also started packing for a couple of days away. DH & I are going to Yorkshire tomorrow on the motorbike. Round Britain Rally combined with 30th Wedding Anniversary. Away for 2 nights & back Saturday lunchtime. I will be incommunicado as not taking my iPad - a benefit of no longer playing AB2 😉 Dinner was cottage pie. Wudupa.

Welcome back from the pantry basketcase 👋 Fingers crossed that you can sail through your vaccination with minimal side effects🤞 Perhaps you can come up with your own book to help us tackle a ‘room of doom’ 😉 Good luck with both the pantry & kitchen reorganisations 🍀 Hope the car collection doesn’t entail too much financial decluttering 🤞
TC77, hopefully your good legal advice will lead to less stress & a positive resolution 🤞Good luck with your To Do list 🍀 mine is also getting longer 😔

Hi all, weather today was blustery but dry and a bit cold when the sun was behind the clouds but warm when out so 2 loads of washing done and line dried
. I potted up 16 cuttings from my climbing rose, LN wants one and my last lot went down to my sister. More garden waste into the green waste bin but that's it for today. I did have a list but failed to do anything from it, the garden just called me
Take care everyone10 -
