I’m slowly trying to catch up on my epic to do list and clear down 500 emails! Making very slow progress, but it is at least progress and things are getting done. No opticians appointment yet, but I did book myself a flu jab, so one self care thing done.
I am not on a getting rid of things trip at the moment, so I am concentrating on maintenance and using things up mainly. I will need a session before the end of the year as I always clear out kids toys before Xmas and DD will likely move up into the next size of clothes.
Decluttering progress:
4386-93 - kids clothes
4394 - dress that’s too big to charity pile
4395 - bathroom supplies used up
4396-402 - paper
4403 - biro used upI also bought a big sack of duck food and am busy making paper bags from leftover paper the toilet rolls were wrapped in. Means I can grab a bag easily when we go out and gives the paper another life before hitting the recycling.2025 decluttering: 3,324🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Not much to report as been away for a couple of days. Visited a stately home with family connections (only open one week a year) with DD. Lovely afternoon out. I got train three quarters of the way and then DD picked me up. Stayed at a hotel nearby which was slightly weird but food and pool were nice. Came back via most of the Rugby League towns either side of Manchester - not deliberately just thoroughly lost and DD didn't have maps book only phone maps. In the end we were diverted on to the old main road over Saddleworth Moor - truly atrocious weather - stopped and got out of car and you couldn't easily stand up. (Sad things have been going on up on those moors the last few days) DD tried to help with sorting my Hive/internet problems before she went home with out success. Connected to a chatbot and 12th in queue - 2 hours later after half an hour as 1st in queue she got a message to say no agents were available and she was cut off. Grrr. Customer service is truly awful everywhere on line these days. DS2 went away for weekend so I am talking to myself and having nice quiet days. Booked on a coach trip tomorrow to York. No particular plans but it only cost £13 so very good value - its about 50 miles from me depending which route you take - over Humber bridge is quicker but you would have to factor in tolls.
1142 A few small items taken by DD
1143 DS2 had cleaned round and thrown things away so I'll count that
They are coming to start drying process for my floors on Weds - oh joy.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Morning all xx
I've been reading along in lurkdom as usual and GrannyKate has just made me sit up and stare 😮. I'm now wondering if we live on the same street! It's actually 54 miles from here to York via the Humber Bridge..... so we must be in the same area, although could be miles apart depending on how we get to the Bridge. Small world and all that. Don't worry I'm not planning on visiting. I was just surprised is all. Surprised enough to pop up and wave 👋
Day to day detritus leaves the house but I'm still resting on my laurels that under the kitchen table has room for legs and feet. Thinking about it we were able to sit at the table when DS and GF came for lunch on Boxing Days. Ooops. Tatty laurels are being discarded.
DS's suit, jackets, shirt and tie were the last thing to leave the property. And broken coat hangers were binned.
Must try harder.

Ood meds dropped off for disposal at pharmacy
I also opened a trinket box in a box in the RoD .... a watch and necklace plus ear-rings. I vaguely remember the watch. 1980s maybe? Closed the lid and put it back.
Got to have the right head on

DH volunteered to tidy the office today, never thought he would ever voluntarily declutter by himself 😲 He recycled or binned several pens, 3 empty plastic computer disc covers, a broken pair of glasses, 4 batteries, unwanted papers, booklets and manuals for items we no longer have. (He said there would be nothing that needed to go out but ended up with a full black bag 🙄) At least the floor is now clear, yippee 👏 There is also a large carrier bag full of shredding to do.
Meanwhile I decluttered a wash load, changed the bed and washed the bedding, the washing went on the whirly and it dried well. I binned a disintegrating large cushion inner, then from the van first aid kit went several old plasters, dressings and an almost empty Savlon bottle which was OOD.
Hope everyone is well, gentle hugs if not.

DBro didn’t close the freezer door properly again….as a result the freezer is being defrosted…..again. Chest freezer Tetris took place today. My mission this winter, should I choose to accept it, is to clear down the TBR pile. Here is 2/3rds of it. As you can see I have eclectic taste.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
