Yesterday I finished all the holiday washing and got most of it dry, just a few things needed to go on the airer overnight. Now I have to put it away till next year as I like to keep my holiday stuff from year to year, feels like I have a new wardrobe of clothes to go away with! One of my t-shirts has become rags though as it was splashed with fat, clumsy girl 😏
Today there are 2 full green waste bins out ready for collection as I missed the collection last time due to hols and there is also some more ready and waiting to refill them. I have cleared down another 56 emails too.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Lots of use ups on the go and several bags of rubbish/ recycling made it downstairs but will only count them when they make it out to the bins (tottered down yesterday for more soft food but hadn't put my shoes on). Today I'm clearing my room (started yesterday gathering up bits which will be sorted back on the bed - was in a tight space in a corner so did 3 lots of picking up and putting it all into a large box before crawling back on the bed.
The mess is mostly of my own making - bringing assorted food, toiletries and medication + a toilet roll for my nose onto the bed/ tray and drawers next to me while I recuperate. Feeling less 'ill' this morning but have decided against struggling to the library although I'm sad about missing Art therapy (don't want to pass on this lurgy and not made it downstairs yet - had dry wraps and satsumas for breakfast and DS3 has brought up more food and a hot soup to drink).
The remaining food items have been gathered together, I had a sitting down wash rather than a shower and the large box of paperwork has been ordered to stay where it is. Still 503/ 2022 but more progress by the end of the day (bottles and cans bin out for collection and on my third bag and there might be a few loose ones in the yard)9 -
Hi all, weather dire today, lots of rain and very blustery so I am having a digital declutter on my laptop as I still feel tired and the arm still aches
Forgot to say last night I used up a bottle of perfume before heading out for tea so the bottle and box have been put into the recycling. I am trying to use up all the toiletries and smellies I have, and I do seem to have a lot. I managed to gather a lot in 1 draw in the bedside cabinet so I can just work my way through them. Soaps are making their way slowly into the bathroom as needed and a small space is appearing in the draw. I will have a delve into the draw to get out the next perfume to be used
Checking my kindle I see I seem to have bought the 30 day bookI thought I had only looked at it but it has appeared in my library. I have had a quick look through it and it is very organised and I am pleased to see I have done some of the sorting stuff already but the daily cleaning routine makes my mind boggle a bit, my house is a mess
It will take me all day and would never have been achievable when I was working. I am going to try the system but it might take me several tries to get past the first week
. Wish me luck
Take care everyone12 -

Thoroughly enjoyed our Monday lunch date with DH’s niece - the company more than the food 😉 Went to N….s - DH & I honestly cannot see or taste the appeal 😔 Lots of catching up & laughter. Then moved on to a coffee shop - more chat & laughter & a firm date for our next lunch date. DH went to bus stop to wait for DSis - having her 4th jab - whilst I returned home. Dealt with my post - half a dozen items - filed when completed. Simple dinner of baked beans on toast with a fried egg for DH & me. Wudupa.Tuesday is dark, dreary, damp & chilly 🥶 DSis is having after effects - arm is achy & hot & she feels generally rough 🙁 DH has gone to sm with a small shopping list & will be posting my correspondence. Dinner tonight is hm cottage pie using ingredients from freezer & fridge. Wudupa. Have enough cottage pie mix to have the same again for Wednesday’s dinner1601 - 1606 Kitchen recycling x 2, drinks cans x 2, scrap paper, cardboard packaging - recycling
1607 - 1611 Kitchen detritus x 2, lr & office detritus, plastic packaging - binned
1612 - 1613 Two lots of ood food 😔vulpix, well done on all the painting 👏 Sorry to hear that MrV is feeling unwell - hope he feels better soon.
Excellent garden decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 Your nephew is really laid back - I rather admire him for his confidence & strength ☺️ Birthday wishes on their way ☺️2Scratters, I would let DH have his joy of topiary 😌 especially as he has cleared up 😉 Lovely to hear that he wants to keep the site of the kitchen extension tidy when the work starts - should make the project less stressful 🤞 Well done on decluttering the ironing 👏 I also struggle to let my
T-shirts become rags - but only the ones with embroidery or motifs on them - some are nearly 30 years old 😉 Not only are they better quality than my newer T-Shirts but they are also reminders of good times 😔 Very pleased to hear that you are noticing how much work you have done - it keeps your motivation high for the continuation of your decluttering journey ☺️Excellent work nannywindow & what a great idea to pack away your holiday clothes 👏 Good work in the garden too 👏Sorry to hear that you are feeling so unwell grandmanerd 🤧 I am very impressed that you are still making the effort to keep your room tidy - it must be very hard going & whilst I do appreciate that any mess does tend to hinder recuperation, please don’t do too much 🙏 Sending get well soon wishes & gentle hugs 🙂
Sorry to hear you are still suffering Liverpool_Anne 😔 Excellent work on reducing your digital clutter & your toiletries 👏 Good luck with the 30 Day book 🍀 Like you I balk at spending all day cleaning even though I know how good I feel when rooms are both clean and tidy although not yet clutter free 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Keeping a running list by day of what needs to be done has been helping. I put the "have-tos" first, then list things I would like to do. Usually those get moved further down the list. But I have been getting the must -dos done each day for the last week - so that is a big improvement. Did get a box of books and magazines mailed to my friend in Colorado - combination of books to help her with her little farm and mysteries to read this winter. She does get snowed in often. Been trying to mail it for a long time, but didn't have money for the postage till now.
Everyone else is sick here - don't know if it is Covid or the Flu. But I am soldiering on - have to or no one would take care of the cats and dogs. Have already finished my three for the day - watering outside, taking care of the husky inside while the pool person was here, and basic cleaning of the kitchen. Still need to go shopping later today for dog food. We are having supply issues here as well - and none of the stores have their basic cat or dog food in. Have been out for a couple of weeks. Just the more expensive stuff our dog doesn't like. May have to feed her chicken and other people food for a few days.11 -
One small bag of charity collected from the doorstep this morning (bag 30 this year but as I keep reminding myself we’re now mostly on passing through donations rather than long stayers).Non Friday Frog done - raked out the old silicone sealing round the bath (decluttered 3 scalpel blades in the process and only sliced my finger once) and resealed all the way round the bath and bath panel. I’ve only been meaning to do it since the bath panel was fitted.New shower curtain and toilet brush ordered (oh the glamour)
Tomorrow I need to look at ISA savings rates, do 2 hours training and then we’re off to the garden centre in the afternoon!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Felt overwhelmed earlier but trying to be kind to myself and just accept I can't do it all. Someone else leaving at work, and organisation so slow to review things although I've been pushing for ages. Lots of ongoing big frogs, involving solicitors not doing what they should, some big issues, and then everyday ones, like phone company not giving me refund, hospital stuff, DD2 has Covid, so errand to school to pick up books (I'm negative and as we pass as ships in the night fingers crossed will stay this way), but have passed on 2 items with packaging . Decorator back tomorrow. Piles of things needing attention but working, and may be at my dad's at weekend. Some paper away and some filing. Again lost my numbers so going for 1650, actually adding another numerous emails chasing another frog and escalated and hopefully will be resolved soon.
Hugs to those in need.
Taking the view with the dark evenings will have more time to sort things out but unlikely to make my nos

Morning All, this week is flying by and work keeping me very busy/exhausted.
Some decluttering,
1.Bin Bag of OH uniforms back to his work, he never wears it, his work colleagues were fighting over it.
2.Pack of pullup nappies to neighbour.
3. Laptop Bag back to work
5. 4 work folders and associated paperwork back to office.
6. Child's toilet training seat.
7. Broken backpack bin (not able to fix)
Plenty more to do but prioritising looking after myself and family and the basics over stressing over cleaning house decluttering this week.
I am trying Yoga tonight, TLC for myself.

Renovation project upstairs has suddenly tripled in speed! Some background info: husband has an ex-colleague from a company they both used to work for; they reconnect about 3 times a year. We have visited him and his partner, daughter and stepson once, and they have visited us twice over the last 8 years. You know, it's nice to see them, but not bad it you don't. The guy is really handy, and has done up their home really nicely. Husband has asked him to come over and have a look at our renovation works and give some advice. Turns out, he split from his partner, and is living at his Mum's, and is at a loss for what to do with his time.......He's coming this weekend to help lay the laminate flooring upstairs! Which means that today I have to go to the Netherlands (1.5hr drive) to buy primer, paint, rollers, etc, (it's about €20/pot cheaper there / husband has a company car with a petrol card) then, tonight, we have to put the primer on the walls, tomorrow the paint and we have to buy the laminate. Aaaaaaaargh!Husband has just spent 2 afternoons/nights scouring the upstairs walls, and we have washed them down last night. We also removed the old laminate and gave everything a good clean. So much dust! Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5911

Three bags of cans and bottles made it to the bin (2 had already been thrown downstairs, 1 collected from yesterday and the day before) plus one small bag of rubbish (went out because of a couple of fly attracting bits). DS3 also took bags out and took the bin to the end of the backs. I went through the box of 'picked up off the floor' bits which filled another carrier bag's worth of rubbish but I've just started off the next bin bag, 506/ 2022. Three boxes (nothing urgent - craft supplies, stationery - which is easily accessible when needed) went on the cleared floor space and all the paperwork is now on the worktop made from re-purposing the sides of the worktop. Bed is clear apart from my laptop and one craft project I want to work on this week. I managed to pull the covers back onto the bed (there was more next to the bed than on it).
Feeling better today (chest feels clear and throat and other bits not hurting) but will continue pottering. It's a nice gentle mild day so I want to spend some time outside if possible (wrapped up and sitting in a chair). I've just had a sit down shower and patted myself dry very gently. There are a few extra grooming bits I want to do before the end of the week, including hair washing, but the shower was enough today. Brought the food bag back to the bed, breakfast is a reprise of yesterday - 2 dry wraps and 2 satsumas. I found the scones but will keep them for lunch in case I'm not ready to face the stairs by lunch. The bag will go back off the bed next time I peel myself out from under the covers.
I'm going to be kind to myself and look after my body by moisturising thoroughly (more use ups). One thing I took from my mindfulness course is to spend time doing things like this, noticing any dry patches or injuries before they become a problem and enjoying the process rather than just it being another in the long list of things I have to do.
DS3 read the meters so will submit those.10
