Now then, where were we?
Got my tax paperwork printed at the new photo shop round the corner, delivered said paperwork by hand and still had to email something over as the spreadsheet lost the formatting when I set the print area. Grr.
Had my Covid booster and was knocked for... 3. Felt distinctly manky and under the weather for 24 hours but still able to vaguely function as long as I didn't have to think too hard.
Totals for the last few days:
4045-4051: 6GB data and 50 emails deleted.
4051-4100: items to rubbish and recycling, 50% to each category. Got through a lot of ready meals and a lot of ice creams and yoghurts.

Really need to do my stuff

I was out for much of the day today but did manage to complete my paperwork reorganisation - even the archiving in the loft. I am still convinced there is a bundle of papers that are up there that I haven't found yet but maybe I'm underestimating the decluttering I did last time....? I will have a more thorough check on my next day off.

Hi all, 2 loads of washing done and line dried while I was out to lunch with LN. I didn't get home until gone 6 and have decluttered a couple of recordings and done some knitting.
Tomorrow I am out to see Brian Cox which I am looking forward to but I hope to do a bit more in the garden if the weather holds
@GrannyKate, where was the stately home you visited? I think it must be somewhere near me if you went home via all the rugby league town's
@florianatwobob, I also have a tbr pile but I am currently working my way through the tbr on my kindle but the books are crying out to me. I also have eclectic tastes
@short_bird, my jab wiped me out for 24 hours but LN had her's yesterday and feels fine, but she did have the booster and has actually had covid so she probably has most of the variants already in her system. She went to a pharmacy and was offered the flu jab at the same time but refused it as she didn't want them both at the same time Justin. Hope you feel better soon, hugs
Take care everyone12 -
Hello, wide awake at this hour as DD had a bad dream and now can't settle, queue calling mummy every 5/10minutes. Going to be a long day, hopefully I can get a couple hours more sleep.
Decluttering wise, sold the grand total of 3 items at carboot yesterday, was not really worth doing. Will do another carboot next weekend and that's it for this year and will donate and pass on the stuff.

Hi.Welcome Mayaboo. I don’t know if I could follow someone else’s decluttering system to the letter but I certainly pick and choose what I like the idea of. Loads of ideas and encouragement here. Start small, anything is better than nothing. Come back and let us know how you are getting on.I have been busy. Not complaining but I couldn’t be busy full time! 🤣
My daughter came to visit. I am grateful that she took the time and expense to come from Shetland for 3 nights. Oh dear she wanted to go to the chazzers. I am now the owner of a wool coatigan, some doc mart shoes and a little bubble glass vase for my collection. Oh also a shopping bag full of cooking apples. She went to collect post from her house and the tenant presented her with the apples from the garden. I almost sent her home with 2 velvet curtains but she couldn’t get them in her case. I did give her a bank change bag of curtain hooks though. Also gone a large plastic storage box and a collection of bras for bit by bit’s charity.I feel like there has been more to leave but I can’t just remember what.Ah I know. We went to my Mum’s and cleaned and brought all her clothes down as she lives downstairs now. 4 bin bags of clothes for the Sally Army. Cautionary tale. About 100 pairs of new pants and 6 new bras in the airing cupboard. She is 88. I will go again this week and do the rest of the airing cupboard. There must be 200 pillow cases alone. Sadly she passed on some craft items. I will give them away at craft club and tell her I have made them.Today I will make a new to do list which will include putting a curtain rail and curtain up over the back door.Laters. Vx:9 -

The system doesn't really matter, as long as you just get started. Once you get going and suddenly have 'space', it gets easier and (dare I say it) fun!Husband was making safety railings for dds' mezzanine bedrooms with his friend; I was outside removing the buddleia. We had next door neighbour's (a DIY store owner) contractor in to give a quote for the downstairs renovation; we hope to hear from him soon.

Good morning - just 🙂 We had a good journey to Yorkshire on Thursday - weather was mainly dry if a bit chilly with just a 10 minute shower but with the added bonus of seeing the most beautiful, bright rainbow with all 7 colours clearly visible. We stopped at the OK Diner on the A1 for lunch - an all day breakfast with cappuccinos, filled up with petrol & resumed our journey. Strange accident blocked off the fast lanes going in both directions so only one lane available each side - only delayed us about 5 minutes. A van with a long low flat trailer carrying metal sheets had jack knifed & crashed through the central reservation - Van & load one side, trailer the other side. Driver was OK as he was standing up chatting to the police who were in attendance. We had 3 landmarks to photograph - the tank ramp at Peniston Station, a churchyard memorial to 17 children (aged 9 to 19) who died in a mill fire in 1818 & finally Stumps Cross Caverns tea room. Saw cows, horses, sheep & pheasants. Couple of memorable names - Blubberhouses & Frillies - one guess as to what is sold 😉 Arrived at The Clarendon Hotel in Hebden about 6 p.m. Lovely pub (with many awards for excellent food) with great rooms - we were in Hare. Showered & changed for dinner. Dinner was absolutely divine. I ordered terrine of rabbit and DH ordered pigeon - we shared rather than our usual taste 😊 Mains were venison pie with chips & peas and grouse in a delicious chocolatey sauce with truffle mash. Both delicious but I think I slightly preferred DH’s grouse 🤤😋 When chatting to the landlady we discovered that her husband is a local gamekeeper & her son is a gamekeeper in Scotland - so plenty of fresh seasonal game 👏 Also both the head chef & his apprentice are up for awards for the quality of their cooking. After a couple of beers we retired to our room & were in bed by 10:30 p.m. Slept well.
Friday (our 30th wedding anniversary) dawned bright & sunny if slightly chilly 😊. Up at 8:00 a.m. & down to breakfast 8:30 a.m. Both of us had a Full English Breakfast inclusive of black pudding 🤤 Left at 9:45 - chilly but dry 🙂 did see several pheasants + hawks, cows, sheep & horses. Sadly it started raining steadily at 11:30 a.m. (just a 20 minute dry spell) until 4:30 p.m. when the heavens opened 🌧 A wet miserable day all around. However did get our 3 landmarks (sheep on a roof in Muker, Paddy Waddell’s Railway in Glaisdale & a statue of a grey reef shark in The Deep, Hull) plus a couple of old ones. Finally arrived at our Hotel - The Hope & Anchor Pub in Ferriby, North Lincolnshire at about 6:15 p.m. We were both thoroughly soaked & dripping wet - the only dry part of our bodies was the top of our heads 😬 Checked in & taken to our room - overlooking the Humber. However the rain was coming down so hard that we couldn’t see the other side 🙁 We stripped off completely & were lucky enough that our room had both a heated towel rail & a radiator so we could start getting our bike clothing dry enough to wear on Saturday without feeling too uncomfortable 😉 Showered to get warm, got changed & down to dinner about 7:15 p.m. Not quite as fancy a menu as Thursday night but pretty good food. DH’s whitebait was OK but my white crab meat with brown crab meat butter & date ketchup with a very thick slice of toast was to die for 😉😋 DH had a huge piece of battered haddock with triple fried chips 😋 & mushy peas whilst I had a Cumberland sausage ring with creamy mash & onion gravy.DH was a bit naughty & bought me an anniversary gift 😉 A specially engraved 50 pence piece, see belowI intend to get a surround with loop added & put it on a chain. The rain stopped about 7:00 p.m. & there were clear skies & for the first time in years we managed to see The Plough 👏 In bed by 11:00 p.m. Fairly decent night’s sleep but slightly too warm as we had the radiator on to get clothing dry.Back later to continue but have done numbers for the past two days whilst I remember 😉1621 - 1628 Kitchen recycling x 2, Drinks cans x 2, paper packaging, 2 cardboard boxes, plastic bottle - recycled1629 - 1630 Kitchen detritus x 2 - binnedMrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
