There is a branch of The Donkey Sanctuary near me. I went to a presentation by the founder as an organisation I am involved with had it as their charity of the year. They do fantastic work worldwide. 😍 our branch isn’t open very often as they have the proper poorly ones there. ❤️
Yesterday Mr V found a pine unit in the loft. Given to one of the builders. Result.Picked up a bag of bras at craft club for bit by bits breast care Africa charity. Also took a car full of Mil’s purchases to craft club for future fundraising tombolas. This has made plenty of room in the giant shed to empty the pantry of doom into. Inching towards a tidy house. Yess.Out yesterday a glass and bamboo storage jar. Into the car boot pile. The weather forecast is good for this Sunday so perhaps We will go. It’s in a tourist honey trap so I have always done well there. I do sell very cheap though. I don’t want to fetch it all home again!
I have to go to Sheffield today to the bank. It has been so long since I logged into my account that it is all completely changed and I need them to do something their end.We will try and use an afternoon tea voucher I was given at Christmas. I have already booked and cancelled it when my Mum was poorly.Well done on resisting buying craft supplies nannywindow. I am doing the same as you Liverpool Anne, concentrating on one project at a time. I am so close to finishing my log cabin quilt but itching to start something else.Have a lovely decluttery day folks.Vx:10 -
3871-3876: carrier bags to delivery driver
3877-3890: usual herding of recycling and rubbish
3891-3893: card and paper recycling and 2 lots of mixed recycling to downstairs bins.
Looks like I need to get ready for 4 seasons in 1 day: working from 5.15 and the thunder's just started...

I did enjoy his company @TC77 Unfortunately I didn't past muster. It appears the child has a pretty rigid sleep schedule which I didn't stick to. We had more 'discussion' . We will work it out in the end. She just doesn't like being parted from him and she is a control freak which is a bad combination for someone like me: ttoo laid back sometimes
@Liverpool_Anne It didn't go smoothly but things will be ok. The in laws I had with me for a year while we renovated and extended their house. It was ok. We have always got on. MiL just messier than I am and that takes some doing.
Those temperatures are horrible @weenancyinAmerica . You are still doing a lot though. Take care of yourself. If the pool isn't covered you should probably apply some water barriered sun cream. All those rays made stronger by the water may do you harm in the end.
Well done on refusing to buy craft stuff @nannywindow. My CS has a lovely load of bright multi-coloured wools but was kind enought to over price them so none bought.
Thanks for the bras @vulpix. I will take the laces too if you can't sell them at the car boot. All I need is a shiny fabric and I can make my own basques
So I have had a fruitful day. Literally: harvested pears and apples from plot friends tree. There is no way she can eat them all. Also collected sweetcorn and dug up more spuds, picked peas. Managed to plant some brocolli plants and spring cabbage.
Also managed to pass on 4 bags of plant pots, one I will count as an 'in and out' after several people gave them me to pass on. In return I was given some pickles and damson jam. MMMMM.
Looking forward to a thunderstorm here too @Liverpool_Anne

Too busy at work to be getting much done now, but there were some bits leftover from the weekend that got picked up etc. I did also determine which of the little cards I had with the Wi-Fi password on was the current router… that only took me about 5 years to get round to it 😆
4208 - plastic bag
4209-4211 - bubble wrap
4212-4215 - paperwork
4216 - wireless router password card

I will have to eat my words. We parked outside a chazzer and there was a pound rail with fat lady size navy trousers. Bnwt. I promise if they don’t fit/suit I will pass them on.Thank you for the rain Liverpool Anne. You will have it returned in a day or two. The river at the bottom of the road is from one of the sources of the river Mersey. I often wonder how long it takes to get to the sea from here. Obviously I don’t have enough to think about !Oh, I meant to say earlier I find Home Bargains wool the best value. I used a lot for my baby blanket marathon last year.Bit by bit. ❤️Tc77 I am sure the decorator will manage, and you will soon enjoy a lovely freshly decorated home. X
I met an interesting old guy today whilst sat on a bench waiting for Mr V. He is widowed now but previously lived a nomadic life with his artist wife on a narrow boat. They even took it to Europe on the back of a lorry to enjoy great adventure on their canals. I always make an effort to talk to people.it is so interesting and if they live alone they may have no one else to chat to. There are a lot of lonely people out there. ❤️Vx:10 -
Evening Peeps,
hope those who got very wet this afternoon have now dried out. Managed to declutter some water from the water butt and buckets I am now collecting to flush the loo
DH finally got into the loft to erect some shelving he had picked up very cost effectively earlier in the year. He used 2 in the workshop/shed and there are 2 left for me in the loft. Managed to do a tidy up in the loft got some stuff/items off the floor and into a better place. Looks a bit more organised. I was very brave and removed from the loft an old school PE bag full of cards from events of our lives.DS wont want them so they are now ready for shredding.
Managed some other small bits of insignificant rubbish down from there too. Located and old android phone to give to DG as she has been very careless and has a broken screen on her decent phone.
Out for lunch tomorrow with a couple of friends and I am supposed to be on SW
I am not in the right head space as am too busy eating from stock in the freezer and went to support a friend. I need to turn my focus to me to get this ball rolling, too much time procrastinating about stuff I have no control over.
We are all making small headways going forward on this journey.
Take care all

Evening All, back from a lush few days in Devon. Today we went to Beer, a gorgeous seaside village, bit windy but no rain.
Not quite back to reality as got a few days leave so time to catch up on washing and tidying the house and hopefully declutter a few more things for a carboot.7
