Thank you vulpix, trying to be more chilled. In less than a year DD2 should be off and just me so need to enjoy while she's here.
Going to focus on frogs as they're need to move things along. Appt changed, email sent and some.shredding done (from dad's house,). Every bit counts.9 -
Hi all,
@Floss, I didn't realise you were so close. The rocket is a nightmare in heavy rain, in fact most of Queens drive is bad, I used to commute along it when I worked in the dairy on Long lane.
@vulpix, thanks for the tip about the wool. I am trying to do 2nd hand September so if I have no luck in the cs I will have to wait until October. I know a few people who have taken to living on narrow boats, now that would take some serious decluttering for me to fit in one of those. I have done it for a holiday and I have to say it was wonderfully relaxing
@2Scratters, I procrastinate over things I do have control over
Nothing done after the thunderstorm except things taken out of the freezer and eatenmore thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow
It feels quite late in the year for thunderstorms, I seem to remember them happening in July and August. Is it just me? Or is this another climate change thing?
Take care everyone

Hi there. Things didn't quite go according to plan - Got up and fed the cats - and the pain in the stomach was too much. Woke up my roommate and had her take me to the ER. 8 hours later (they are just as slow over here), I know everything is fine - except I have a sliding hiatal hernia that covers half of my stomach. May end up having surgery for it. In the meantime, it looks like that is the reason I haven't been eating much and have been losing weight (5 pounds in the last week). But I don't have to worry about the liver, or spleen, or other organs, heart is doing great, and all the blood work war just perfect. Both of my sisters have hiatal
hernias also - I wonder If we could get a group rate. Grandmother had one too. So did brother who died way back in 1995 - he died from muscular dystrophy aged 34. May need to rearrange my diet a bit.8 -

Already on meds for ir but will neeed uping probably.
Today prepping and freezing fruit picked yesterday and soup making with the courgette glut.
Have a good one folks

The information night of dd1's school (3rd year secondary) was last night, by class, and although the information was more or less redundant ('we expect the pupils to arrive on time'...), it was nice to meet some of the other parents. I had a chat with 2 of teachers, and they have promised to keep an eye out for my dd with regards to her integration in the class. It's a completely new class, but the other 8 girls all know each other and stick together. It's a relief to know the teachers will pay attention to class dynamics.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I think I will write off this week 😔 Not sure why but have been feeling in a funk, no enthusiasm for anything 😔 & although I have been reading along you will have noticed I haven’t posted in a while 😞 So today is the day for a catch up - wish me luck 🍀
Tuesday DH set off just before 7:00 a.m. to do Round Britain Rally in South Wales with an overnight stop getting home Wednesday 8:00 p.m. Two days of getting wet on & off 😬
Tuesday night DSis & I had bolognaise sauce (from freezer) with conchiglie
Wednesday night’s dinner was takeaway fish’n’chips.
Tuesday I dealt with a froglet - contacted charity shops by phone to check on opening hours & if accepting clothing donations.
Wednesday’s tadpole was having a long, relaxing bath & washing my hair.
Weather wise Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday have been overcast with varying amounts of rainfall.
Thursday DH & I both up & dressed before 8:00 a.m. awaiting the arrival of the plumber who eventually turned up at 9:30 😉as he thought he would give us a lie-in 😂 During the week since his emergency visit there has been no smell of gas 🙂 Boiler appears to be OK & added bonus our lovely plumber didn’t charge us 👏🙂 He is off to a wedding in Ireland, so will arrange boiler service when he gets back. Dinner was chicken burgers, oven chips & baked beans.
Friday is slightly brighter but still overcast & breezy. My task of the day was to write a shopping list & send DH to sm 😉 Still haven’t visited cs 😔
1450 - 1459 Kitchen recycling x 3, drinks cans x 3, newspaper, uu hotel sized toiletry bottle, 2 plastic bottles - recycled
1460 - 1466 Kitchen detritus x 3, DSis bedroom detritus - 3 bags, shredder bin emptied - binned
Wow that was seriously & dangerously hot weenancy 🥵 I hope the players were OK 🤞 You & husky sound like you had a great time in the pool - I hope you are wearing plenty of waterproof sunscreen 😉I see you were correct re the ‘marriage’ of your roommate but at least he saw sense 😂 Tiny dog must be happy to have him back 🙂 Not sure any of our group of motorcyclists would have survived those temperatures 🥵 Re our new PM - I am more concerned with the new Health Minister & the renewed threat of fracking 😧
Good decluttering bit_by_bit 👏 Must have been a bit of a shock re MiL turning up in a police car 😉
You are very welcome vulpix 🙂 At least you’re husky mad friend will keep warm over the winter with the layer of husky hair 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 I agree that a donation would have been easier - especially for you 😉
How very odd bit_by_bit - I hope that the situation with DiL & baby is satisfactorily resolved 🤞If the in-laws do move in, I hope it is only for a short time 😉
weenancy, misery upon misery 😔 & yet you still keep on working hard not only decluttering but also continuing with your one woman mission to make life better for your fellow citizens 👏
Fizz2015 sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed your time at The Donkey Sanctuary 🙂 Hopefully the cs prices are still reasonable 🤞
Great work short_bird 👏
TC77, like you I have a house of doom apart from our bedroom 😉 but unlike you RL is not the problem, just my sheer laziness 😉
First post done - I think I will revert to cheerleading by name rather than in order of posting & will type up in notes before transferring to avoid posts disappearing into the ether 🤞
