Hi.I am sorry to hear about the Queen’s death too Mrs SD. I am not a Royalist but I have to admire her devotion to duty.Today I have defrosted and cleaned the fridge freezer. Mr V has been food shopping and we are all stocked up for the first time in months. DSS is coming next week so I had better feed him properly. I hope I can remember how to cook! I made a banana loaf the other day and it was like a charcoal brick. Ok in the middle though 😂.Out some elderly lard????? and mc Donald’s dips.Given to my Mum, some blue cheese and pickled beetroot. Also given her the finished log cabin quilt.Next week the builders move into the bathroom to knock some wall out and make good. Plumber is also coming Monday to firm up the new bathroom. DSS here too doing odd jobs. It will be a bit too much activity for me but it will not last forever.I have used up another hand cream. Only about 4 more to go. I am however on my last perfume. That has taken me a couple of years to do.Take care chums Vx:10

So here is the first of several cheerleading posts.
Lovely supportive post Liverpool_Anne 😊 As to the plastic shopping bags, perhaps you should count them & advise OH of how much money has been ‘invested’ at 10p a bag. It might bring home how wise it is to carry a couple with you 😉 Good work in the garden even if your activities were curtailed by the rain 👏 Shame about the china mug but every little bit helps in your efforts to declutter 🙃 Great idea to restrict yourself to one knitting project at a time, which reminds me it is time to break out the knitting needles 😉 Hope you enjoyed Wednesday’s thunderstorm 🙂 Lovely conversations with Floss, vulpix & 2Scratters.
weenancy, even such high temperatures do not seem to stop you in your quest to declutter 👏 Does the husky like fish’n’chips with her vinegar 😂 Good luck with the ‘almost indestructible’ toy 🍀 Thanks for mentioning the various uses of vinegar 👏 You are in the wars weenancy 😞 After reading your post, I googled causes of sliding hiatal hernias & the first entry was “being born with an usually large hiatus” which seems to track with the fact that so many of your family have the same condition - So it seems to be hereditary ☹️
My deep sadness at the Queen’s passing caught me unawares - I even cried 😢 I had been looking forward to celebrating the Queen’s 100th birthday & wondering whether or not she would send herself a ‘telegram’ 🙂 Although I am looking forward to having Charles as king. Hope he can keep his head as DH did point out that there is a 50% chance he could be beheaded 🤣 - my DH does have a weird sense of humour 🤣
nannywindow, hope the weather stays fine for your Devon holiday & that you do get to visit The Donkey Sanctuary 🤞 Sounds like you had a lovely time with the DGC - even if they did eat you out of house & home 😉 A medal 🏅 is on its way for resisting the temptation to buy more craft stuff 👏 Hope you enjoyed your day out with your Dad.
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 The weather must be turning if you are retiring the long shorts 😉
Only 2 pages + 2 posts behind 😉

Very quick update.Had a verbal offer on the house today which we accepted so need to see if we get a written offer on Monday 🤞
Aunt and Uncle came a-visiting. Aunt had a fall a few weeks ago so planned day in the garden didn’t happen. So they’ve taken cuttings and plant pots and blooming frog garden ornaments ( there were so many!) anyway they had a boot full by the time they left.Aunt got a box filled with ‘stuff’ paperwork/photos etc
and some jumpers that were mums that I had taken then realised I probably wouldn’t wear them.10 -

We haven’t been able to do much this week as we have had a firewood delivery to put away, however, we had a bit of help this morning to clear out OH’s greenhouse and surrounding area which filled the skip a little more.
I expect we will take things a bit gently over the weekend as we have a busy week coming up and need to rest a bit from the past week.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅8 -
Nearly indestructible toy lasted less than one day. Stuffing all over this morning. We have rain - and lots of it. It wasn't supposed to start until tomorrow. At least I was able to clean up most of the stuffing from the backyard before it started. Sorting what we have already for Sproutmas. Last year, by using prizes from Reading Programs (1 for each five books read), giveaways from local sports teams, and what we got through Disney giveaways at library (they give us excess inventory to spread around), and library book sale books, I spent less than $15.00 on presents for 20 family members. Disney actually provided hundreds of costumes and baby clothes about two years ago and the library is still passing them along. We give things out at the programs we hold at the library and as prizes for the Reading Programs. They give us Friends members part of the stuff they are giving away at our annual meeting and during National Library Week, so we get some of the giveaways also. Some years almost every gift has been a charity shop purchase - our family loves used stuff for their collections and several members collect holiday ornaments which I get at after-day holiday sales or at charity shops. Have almost everyone covered already, plus most birthday presents. Fortunately, all the kids love Disney stuff and books.9

We are getting a lot of coverage on the life of the Queen here. The British restaurants have had people showing up for tea and remembering. I remember going to the neighbors for her coronation as we didn't have a TV. Even in this country she will be missed.

Decluttered a wisdom tooth yesterday so been sitting on couch sulking for much of the time since yesterday afternoon and watching hours of stuff about queenie. Amazing woman, working up to probably a day and a half before she died. I too am quite sad for her family and for the fact she was such a constant.
I was so tired at half 8 on the couch but been trying to fall asleep for the last 2 hours in bed. I'm a good sleeper so take it ill out on the few occasions I don't drop off within 10 mins of getting into bed! Ive already listened to 3 episodes of something rhymes with purple. Will put light out shortly and try again.
Hugs to all

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Shopping put away. Dinner was baked salmon, boiled potatoes & garden peas 🤤
1467 - 1469 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottle - recycled
1470 - 1471 Kitchen & bathroom detritus - binned
Excellent decluttering vulpix 👏 Good luck with the car boot sale 🍀 I know you said we’re trying to avoid buying anything but finding the trousers counts as serendipity 🙂 Isn’t it strange the odd things that can pique our interest - reminds us that we are intelligent 😉 I am with you in talking to strangers - you can learn all sorts of interesting things. Sadly, since I retired I have not done this so much 😔 I think the Queen had the wonderful knack of frequently uniting both Royalists & non-Royalists, I just hope Charles has the same knack 🤞 Thanks for reminding me that I need to do a comprehensive list of freezer contents so I can menu plan properly. I also need to take a leaf out of your book & do some baking (I cannot remember the last time I did any baking) Well done on using up toiletries.
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
bit_by_bit, I didn’t think there could be a rigid sleep schedule for a baby 🤔 & fingers crossed that DiL realises this before she drives herself insane 🤞 I take it DS is not getting involved 😉 A lovely chatty & supportive post. A fruitful day indeed 🙂 I am rather missing the joy of harvesting - nothing much planted 😔 We have a BP machine but haven’t yet got into the habit of using it but sounds like you will - a good purchase 👏
TC77, looks like you will have to pull an all nighter to get the house of doom ready for the decorator 😂either that or cover everything with sheets 😉 well done on dealing with frogs 👏 At least DD2 has a year to help you before she leaves 😉
Floss I do not envy you driving during a thunderstorm & to have to drive through a lake is rather scary 😧 Keep up the good work 👏
Great decluttering QueenJess 👏 Well done on sorting out a 5 year old frog 👏
Well done on using free water 2Scratters 👏 Great work in the loft especially bringing down the bag of cards 👏 Hope you have a lovely time reminiscing as you shred them 😊 Might be an idea to take photos of the most important ones & maybe use to make a calendar 😊
Sounds like yo had a marvellous time in Devon, Fizz2015 🙂 I’m not back to reality after being home more than a month 😔
EnergyShifter, very pleased to hear that you had such a good time in Spain 😁 & managed with just a small cabin bag 👏 Excellent decluttering 👏
Siebrie how pleasant to meet parents & teachers in a calm setting. Hopefully the teachers will keep an eye out for your DD.
Aah, thanks florianatwobob 😌 The sad thing is that I am in such an odd mood that I forgot about the TLC Carriage 🙄
mhagster, absolutely everything (including my eyes) is crossed that you get the written offer🤞 Hope your Aunt is feeling better now 🙂 Very sneaky decluttering 👏😉
oceanspirit very pleased to hear that my DH is not alone it’s his humour 😉 My thought was very much darker - a huge news story to cover up the nasty/bad news/actions that our new PM will perpetrate whilst everyone is distracted ☹️ Good work with the firewood 👏 & enjoy a relaxing weekend recharging your Life Batteries ready for your busy week 😊
weenancy, I hope you are sending back the bits of toy with a covering letter - you never know you might get your money back 🤞 What a wonderful system - good publicity for Disney at minimal cost & many people benefitting. I am in awe of your purchasing skills - 20 presents for $15 🤩 After watching the Channel 5 (terrestrial channel) coverage Thursday night, I have avoided watching any further coverage on Friday. To be honest I am far more upset than I thought I would be. Rather encouraged that Americans are missing the Queen 😊 Love the memory of the Queen’s coronation.
Daisy_1571, ouch to wisdom tooth removal 😣 I think the most endearing thing about the Queen is how much she loved Philip - they were a great team. A remarkable & hard working woman & I just hope that Charles doesn’t let her down 🤞Sending the Sandman your way so you can get a good night’s sleep 😴
All caught up 🙂
