A few more bits and pieces out the house today. Hoping to go through my winter clothes once it gets colder, which will pretty much finish my wardrobe.

Cleaning another corner of the living room - found two more of roommate's library books - only 1 to go. Went to the doctor today - things are up and down - blood sugar down, blood pressure up, weight down - cholesterol up. Need cataract surgery and to see therapist (mental and physical). But the heat is so bad these days (37 degrees C now, up to 41 on Sunday) not getting much done. Did get to my local state senator's office yesterday - received the award as August Citizen of the District. Giant framed certificate and a box of cookies plus my picture in the local newsletter. Hope to accomplish some things this weekend - moving loveseat out, moving chair over in its place getting ready to move a table and lower table on Monday.14

@weenancyinAmerica Congratulations on the award
Decluttered a chainsaw to my workman yesterday. I would never use it as too heavy and scary. Decided it was just taking up space. Have thrown away lots of very old jars of a chutney that I made years ago and did not like, so more space on shelves in the garage.
Will be mostly packing todayEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D9 -
Morning
@weenancyinAmerica - well done on getting your certificate!
Sorry not caught up on all news. RL is too busy and I have felt stressed this week - DD1 is still struggling with her MH and her operation date is getting nearer. DD2 is stressing about finishing her dissertation. Her boyfriend is here and has brought back all her stuff from her uni flat! It is downstairs and in the front room. DD1 has also taken a couple of boxes to store in her garage.
In decluttering news - I have taken all my soft plastics to the SM recycling; I've taken a load of crisp packets to the recycling at work; I had a new porch roof and the builders have taken back all their equipment they left on the front garden but not a box of rubbish or pile of tarmac/stones they removed from my roof - annoyed about that but i'll have to clear it.
I also did some gardening the other day and decluttered many weeds
Emails are still around 18k which is too many but much less than the 29k they were a few weeks ago

We have another skip! It’s mainly for OH’s garden rubbish, however I am sure I can find things to fill in the gaps.
Decluttered an estate agent yesterday for lying to us and then trying to blame someone else for what had happened when responsibility clearly lay with him. We had only asked him to to take on our sale because the first firm we asked copied and pasted from another property for the brochure and even left the house name in, got the imperial/metric size conversions wrong, the floor plan was wrong and the description of rooms was all wrong. That along with a general CBA attitude didn’t fill us with confidence.Luckily we hadn’t signed a contract with either so we now have an appointment with a smaller firm next week. We had thought that it would be a doddle selling in the current market, but it seems not. Have spoken to a couple of builders - maybe it will be quicker and easier to just get the place refurbed to suit our disabilities after all.
In the meantime we will continue to declutter and clean both homes - if we go the builder route OH will have to move into my rabbit hutch with me over the winter so the little bedroom needs to be clear for him to use when I have my bad spells and need space.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅9 -
Two roommates and I worked on the living room yesterday - looks a tiny bit better but a lot to do. Got up early this morning and have taken out four bags of trash, cleaned up a large bagful of trash in the backyard including the stuffing of another pillow (thanks to husky). Fed the animals, watered the plants in planters, and did my homework for school for the week. Already over 32 degrees C here and only 10:30 - going to be a hot one. Tomorrow is supposed to break records. And we only have a couple of fans - 1 in living room. No air conditioning. Worried most about the cats (2 inside, 2 outside) and 2 dogs - husky and tiny dog. Keep adding ice to their water dishes.8

Decluttered more of the snagging list today. Decorator turned up at 8am (which was a little brutal on a Saturday morning) and worked a full 8 hours. He’s back next week to do a little more finishing.Whilst he was here I decluttered the ironing pile by 9.20 am and then set about decluttering the limescale from
the bath, in the process I decluttered an entire box Bicarb and many scoop fulls of white vinegar. It’s still not perfect but better then it was. The limescale really does like to adhere to the enamel. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep on top of it better with less upheaval in the rest of the house.House detritus out to recycling with more bits snuck in before the bin men came too.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
