Just popping in to say hi! Hope everyone is well and happy x 

I stalled a bit with the heat, it affects me so much in various boring ways, I’m only just feeling ok from it.

I'm still decluttering but by bit and hopefully a bit more before I move house, I’ve finally found a bungalow with a manageable (if overgrown) garden and I cannot wait to start gardening again, the last 5 places I’ve lived in have just had tiny courtyards. There’s room for a greenhouse and some chickens so I’m beyond happy. 

I’m pretty much a hermit so to have somewhere I finally own after much saving that I can stay in as my health condition worsens feels really good, really good! It’s going to be a lot of work and I’ll definitely hit the 2023 mark for decluttering next year. 

I’ll try and update a bit more, it keeps me motivated  it’s so nice to see everyone’s progress xxx

For today: shoes popped into clothes and shoe bank at supermarket car park. It’s been overflowing last few days so I’d just left the bag in the car till it was free. 

Popped into mums. Hoovered…having already hoovered yet still a full canister of dust! All set to go up for sale! 

Nice chat to NDN.

Evening Peeps,
we had a good day yesterday weather was just perfect for what we were doing in the garden, DH did the only boarder we have as I hadn't touched it all summer. I cut down the overhanging tree from next door and was going to leave the debris on the floor in case they wanted it back! Cleared the patio of its 2022 foliage from the nicks of the flags immediately swept up and bagged as we went. Trimmed the flourishing Jasmin as it has done very well again.
 I emptied the coal bunker (was only 2 bag fulls left in it) moved it to the other side of the garden and replaced the coal in it as we need to move stored items in preparation for when the extension starts. The wood store will get moved when the current wood in there is moved into the house, really no point in moving it twice. 
DH got notification and backpay from completing his frog back in May. It all helps. Just waiting for another frog to land as it should. 
Nice to see others are going strong in moving many  justins  onwards and outwards.

It is supposed to be in the 30degree Celsius range here but to hit 40 degrees Celsius by Saturday and Sunday.   \My father used to say if it got hot enough to him, he would add air conditioning to the house. It never was too hot for him - but itios what killed him in the end - had heart failure during a heat wave. Don't know how much I am going to get done. Looking to add things for the trash pick-up people in two weeks. Mainly though, the problem, other than thousands of books, is lots of paper and too many things acquired from charity shops over the years, including what I brought home from the British Isles in the blind hope of having my cottage here. Doesn't look it will happen ever, so really need to start selling a lot of it. Had to let the husky in today as the pool cleaner came - and boy did we end up with a mess. Poured the water bowl all over the kitchen floor (at least part of the floor got cleaned), threw everything off the loveseat, and tore a bigger hole in the leather recliner (will need a patching kit or a lot of duct tape) - very active dog. Three roommates are at Disneyland today - 1 just visiting, but two at work. And I need to go to the Family History Center tonight to work from 6-9, but it does have working air conditioning now. Did my school work this morning, several hours on someone else's family history, and will finish the book I started yesterday. Trying to keep my mind off the happenings politically in this country - scary.

DS out this eve - have pottered around tidying and cleaning so that the place will look respectable for our lovely NDN who has agreed to feed the cat.

Another day in the garden, back lawn mowed and lots of weeds culled. The crocosmia, which were taking over, thinned and the climbing rose and honeysuckle tied back into their frames instead of them waving around like windmill sails. Another green waste bin filled but collection has been suspended by the council for 2 weeks, not enough lorries or men to collect them apparently. My garden's looking good now but I'm waiting for the houses on either side of us ( they have both been sold ) to sort out their wildernesses because that's where all my weeds are coming from 😠
I had to throw away a pair of gardening gloves as both hands were suffering with holes in the fingers, not good when pulling up baby bramble shoots, go on ask me how I know..... Ouch ! Then this evening I decluttered the TV planner as there were lots of episodes from programmes we'd already watched on there. We're still trying to catch up from when we were on holidays !

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks

2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.

3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉

4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.

5. Don’t put it down, put it away

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

I never did come back after put the shopping away 😔

Dinner Sunday - fried chicken, boiled potatoes, peas & fried tomatoes. Dinner Monday - pork steaks, mash & spring greens

Tuesday another dry day, quite warm & mostly sunny. DH went to sm to pick up cans of soft drinks & managed to get the missing items - mushrooms & my magazine 😁 He also picked up a couple of bags of compost & has topped up the potato grow bags as potatoes were on the surface 😬 Whilst prepping ingredients for dinner - chicken & mushroom risotto, realised that I could smell gas (confirmed by DH) transpired that the boiler isn’t working 😬 😱 DH did try to get it going again after opening door & window - no joy ☹️ So I called our plumber & left a message. He phoned back & will be here mid morning Wednesday 🥳 The sad thing about the boiler was that last year it had a FULL service with various new parts 😔 Dinner was delicious 🤤 & I washed up using a kettle full of boiling water. 

1394 - 1402 Kitchen recycling x 2, drinks cans x 2, piece of carpet from motorbike pannier (damp & mouldy), 2 magazines, plastic bottle, glass bottle (had to empty contents 😉 about a quarter full) - recycled 

1403 - 1407 Kitchen detritus x 2, three items of ood food from fridge - oh the shame 😔 - binned

Absolutely roundtuit 🤪 Justin has to be kept in check - well done 👏 Not sure I will be able to make tomato chutney this year, so I think I need to cull my glass jars 😉

Wildrose, 😖 to estate agent. He should now put your DS2 at the top of his list & deliver the keys asap - none of this rubbish about arranging another date. Great work decorating your bedroom 👏 Master Decorator indeed 🙂 Pleased to hear that DS3 is showing an interest in having his room decorated. Please don’t overdo it though - we don’t want you joining DS3 in hospital 😉 Good luck with the decluttering of wardrobe stuff 🍀

Sadly, I think you are correct QueenJess ☹️ everything is so complicated & reliant on electronics that we are gradually losing the ability to do things for ourselves 😉

Siebrie, a pleasant temperature & about the same here over the last few days. Excellent work tidying up & cleaning after the  upstairs renovations 👏 It will be nice to sleep in the bedrooms again 😊 What a result re the lamp & suitcases 👏 As to your husband - no further discussion needed 😉 He should just be grateful you will pick him up at all - from the station near the church 😅 I am being slightly less magnanimous than Floss & short_bird 😉

What an excellent result vulpix - shows how much nicer it is to work with someone pleasant 😊 So pleased you enjoyed your cruise - memories & photos are enough souvenirs 👏 I admit to buying a single fridge magnet as a souvenir from St Lucia 😉 Your DS’s house sounds beautiful 😍 and hopefully you will be able to ‘donate’ a few more items 🤞😉

weenancy, well done on getting so much done even if it was a chore 👏 Wishing you a successful recovery from the torn rotator cuff 🙂 I did mine a few years ago - same thing of an injection & physio 😔 That was not a pleasant experience in the medical centre - that is way too hot to be sitting around waiting with no air conditioning ☹️ Excellent work on persevering with the dormant bank account & that is a tidy sum of money 👏 What a lovely thing to look forward to - 20 bulky items out (does that include roommates - only joking 🙃 or am I 🤨 )  + 20 electronic items. More excellent work in the garden nannywindow 👏 At least you have been forewarned about the temporary suspension of garden waste collection. We seem to be having the same problem with our recycling collections - another week missed 😔 but at least our household rubbish collection is still weekly 🤞I only have a couple of series + 3 films left to catch up on - have managed to watch everything else on the planner - hence the lack of proper decluttering 😉

Oooh thankyou for the 🏅 @Mrs_Salad_Dodger but it was the best 'job' I have done in a long time. I was the main beneficiary I assure you 

So yesterday was spent half clearing the side of the house and pulling all the plant pots etc from around the garden, shed and the allotment together. There were a lot of pots even after I had given loads away. I have advertised most of them on the Allotments F/book group and will be dropping some off today. I haven't sorted the seed trays out yet or the mountain of plastics I don't need but have saved just in case.

Off to support DS1 today as he cares for his son whilst DiL has first day back at work. She has no faith in him. He can be described as neurodiverse. This does not fit well with DiL who is a control freak. There are some black clouds on the horizon for their marriage sadly.

After that I will be working on more sorting of the garden which is now a disaster zone and finish the side of the house.

 Baxter’s mum, oh a house move. I love a house move! A bungalow with garden too. I am quite jealous. Very few bungalows where I live. My knees would love a bungalow 😂

 So all drawers done upstairs now. I bought new pants and socks before I went away. Too fraught to think it through and be organised or even be excited for the break. So I now have more pants and socks than M&S.

 I haven’t done the bath room cupboard. I need the steps and I am too lazy to get them from the shed. A job Mr V when he retires. Which is 5pm today. 

 Today I will get stuck in with the log cabin quilt. I need to back it. Material from stash. I ventured into the pantry of doom last night. That will be a BIG job. I will need to empty it and have the pantry knocked out before I have a new kitchen. 

 You are on fire but by bit. I love how you always rehome stuff. A woman after my own heart. 

 It sounds like a lot of people are garden tidying. I must do that too. I bought pansies for a wall hanging manger. Maybe Mr V will drill the wall tomorrow as he will be a gentleman of leisure !!! No chance with me to boss him about. He will want his job back for a rest😂
