Hello! Two huuuge shifts done. Four to go! I am counting!Dropped off a wee parcel to a friend this morning prior to work. This was something that my son had left and I’d popped up on local FB page.
And came home to a letter from the main charity shop that I’ve donated to and that they’ve raised £114.58 from selling and will get a further £28.64 from gift aid! So that was worth lugging carloads of stuff down week after week!12 -
Well done Mhagster for helping the cs and joy to you when your last shifts are over.
MrsSD I hate chips from the chippy with skins on, that's just not proper chips IMO. DH and I always share a portion too.
Energyshifter glad your knee is getting better, seems like the rest is helping.
Today I mowed the front lawn, then I cut the front shrubs back into some sort of shape and tidied up the border, 1 green waste bin has been filled. Into the recycling a broken pump action bottle of after sun, the contents have been saved into an empty pump soap bottle, probably won't need it till next year now. 3 more plastic takeaway tubs plus lids have gone out, this lot aren't as good as the old ones which lasted ages. An empty cornet wafer box and a cornflake box are in the cardboard bag. 1 biro has been binned and 1 pair of my knickers to the rag bag, I can't be Lucy Lastic, oh ! the embarrassment 😂 Tomorrow I will mow the back lawn and tidy up the back garden, well that's the plan as autumn's coming and I can feel it in the air in a morning.
Take care all, keep up the good work. Hugs to anyone in need.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
3736-3742: 5 bags of rubbish and 2 lots of recycling taken out - using smaller bin bags as it's summer...
3743: cleared all the takeaway menus and leaflets from the communal hallway.
3744- 3757: stuff to the bin and recycling including 7 boxes from food for the freezer, 2 Covid tests (still negative) and a pair of foam earplugs.
I have a stupidly early start tomorrow (early for me) so time to chill.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Thanks @Mrs_Salad_Dodger. DD and DS are both fine now and spent the last two days exhausting themselves and us. They had a lovely time in the end.
I was too exhausted to do any proper decluttering today and mainly got rid of a few things I came across whilst doing a bit of tidying/used up and got a few more pick ups scheduled in for tomorrow from the buy nothing group.
4041 - purse
4042-43 - packets of seeds finished up
4044 - bathroom stuff used up

Today has been a strange day -managed to finish the visit to the bank and the grocer which I hadn't done yesterday. But when I first went to the bank, the ATM machine wouldn't give any cash back so had to go inside and use the machine there. Then later went to my doctor - turns out I have torn the rotator cuff in my shoulder a bit more (I did tear it back in 1980 but no surgery then). Hopefully no surgery this time either - but 12 weeks of therapy and a shot in the shoulder. But their air-conditioning was out in whole medical building (97 degrees Fahrenheit today), so was a very hot appointment. Went to get prescriptions for roommates - turned out to be 9 of them - but the cash register wouldn't work - so had to move to another and start over again. Then went to another bank to see if my name was on the account of an organization I was president of 20 years ago - and I am. Seems the account was dormant so long it had been closed. We got it reactivated and will have to wait two weeks to cash the check (Over $1500 so worth it). But it has taken over a year to find out what to do to get the check cashed - I am the only person still living on the account - glad they didn't wait too long as I just turned 75). I did make arrangements also for the pick-up services to come in two weeks to get furniture, old microwaves, etc. Have a lot to get rid of - they will take up to 20 items of regular bulky stuff and 20 electronic items. I've been making a list.8

Popping in to say hello. . Vulpix towers is a beautiful place. and so is theat part of the world. Cat sitting was easy.
Caught up with posts. Plenty going on and going out. RL is a pain sometimes. To those with a lot on: write a list of everything in your head and cross out the least important stuff and concentrate on the few most important and on little wins. You will get there in the end.
Just before I went away I dropped a bag of clothes off to the refugees.
Since coming back DH and I have cleared the front garden of brambles and done more tidying at the back.
I also cleared out the shed on the allotment and cleared more brambles there. Today I am working on the side of the house which is like a builders yard. Later I hope to start tackling the photos again. There are thousands.
Have a great day all.

Good morning. Up with the larks today.I am pleased that you were ok staying at ours bit by bit. You never know do you. One man’s meat etc.
so far today I have had the chest of drawers out in the spare room. Put like with like and identified 7 tea towels to go. Everything in there is rarely used. Spare sheets, pillow cases, table cloths etc. I am dithering about the table cloths. Large white linen. I have a small table now but if we move to a bigger house I could have a bigger table. Hmm. They can stay for now. I have the room for them. There is also a Boy Scout camp blanket with sewn on badges. Who would want it anyway. So it stays.Next my chest of drawers with clothes. I am also going to do something I have never done at this house in the year we have lived here! Ironing!!!! Pillowcases and linen holiday clothes. There will be a reduction in the amount of pillow cases and pillows that we have. We bought new ones with the new bed. I may be able to give some away to my step son. I washed them all the other week and they came up like new.By lunchtime I hope to have tidy drawers. Ooo er matron.Vx
Most drawers and wardrobe done. 2 half drawers and my bedside drawers tomorrow. I will also do the bathroom cupboard again. To go today tea towels a hoodie a jumper and a belt. There are a couple of things in the wardrobe that I would like to try and sell.:9 -
Not feeling very motivated today, but I did dig out a few things from the upstairs overstuffed cupboard.
4045 - sewing box stuff
4046-51 - cards/present wrap

More jobs off the snagging list after my young carpenter came today. He worked so hard, bless him and still
knocked £50 off the quote. That may have been for my labouring services as we got the bannister back in the right place.Painter and decorator is coming early doors on Saturday to do the prep work of filling and sanding etc. It feels quite decadent getting someone else to do it as it’s usually me with the sander and filler but he’s the professional and I want to get things caulked and that really is not my speciality!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
