MrsSD have a safe and problem free journey home. The van stuff has to live in a few different places in the house (a deep bedroom alcove and a built in cupboard, the shed etc) as there is quite a considerable amount of it when the van is overwintered.
Not much has left the house today except 2 empty cardboard delivery boxes. The plastic and glass recycling box and the food waste caddy have been put out for collection tomorrow. 25 emails deleted and a book which I've finally finished and didn't really enjoy, in the cs bag.
I've also decluttered the contents of the ironing basket full of our holiday clothes which I had run through the wm for a freshen up at the weekend. Ironing is a task I really hate so that's a big win for me. I also removed the dead heads from my large potted geraniums and I hope I get a third flowering. I picked another punnet of blackberries from my garden this afternoon which will be soaked overnight and tomorrow they will join my previous pickings in the freezer.
Many hugs to those having a difficult time. Keep calm and keep decluttering, I think I need to get a mug with that on !
Take care all

@QueenJess I started to use up items we both could use and get us down to basics of the same i.e. deodorant that suits male/female. Regular shower stuff, standard hand soap whether it be a bar or hand wash liquid, obviously excluding special fragrances that we both have for best. Also finding the toothpaste & shampoo that suits us both. It can also end up cheaper as you will be able to keep an eye on how quick the item is deminishing too.

Holiday Mantras
1. Try not to eat too much but drink plenty of water
2. Restrict time playing AB2 to 45 mins in the morning & 60 mins in the evening 😉
3. Breakfast everyday with the family 😉
4. Enjoy the excursions
Monday is continuing as blue skies with fluffy white clouds & very hot 🥵 & humid. Forgot to mention that I weighed myself last night & I am really hoping the room scales are correct 🤞as according to them I have lost 6lbs in a month 😉 🥳
We headed off to lunch about 1:00 p.m. & stopped by the pool to see W & T & S turned up back from the trip to Pigeon Island. We then headed off to Grazie for our last lunch in St Lucia. We had a couple of rum & cokes, our usual sparkling water & shared a four cheese pizza. Then headed up to the main building to buy a gift for my DSis & confirm what we have to do to get our check-in luggage transported to the airport - we are both worriers 😔 Then we sat in the shade & had ice cream 🙂 Came back to our room & have been chilling. Room has just been cleaned, maid tipped (one less thing to worry about tomorrow 😉). We need to shower & change & head off for an early dinner. The following has been or will be decluttered tomorrow 🙂
1131 Used up sun cream - binned
1132 - 1143 Three books, 2 new face masks, partially used sun cream, after sun lotion & can of mosquito spray, mini airline toiletries bag, 3 tubes of unopened toiletries -donated to TUI.
We are now showered & changed awaiting the call to dinner 😉Thanks Floss 👏
Thanks nannywindow 👏 As long as you have designated places for the van stuff it will look less cluttered than if they are all just scattered about 🙂 Excellent decluttering, holiday prepping & harvesting 👏
What an excellent idea 2Scratters 👏 We have 3 lots of toiletries as my DSis has all her specials/favourites or even those she buys because she believes the advertising 😱 If I can continue using up mine & DH’s, I might be able to persuade her to thin out hers 😉😉
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 You have been busy 👏 I am sending ‘decluttering vibes’ to DD2 😉
Heading off for our last dinner now 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Leaving DD2 to at some point clear up after her and friends , dishes etc although may end up being me, and concentrating on things only I can do. She has friends staying later in the week so there is progress in her room apparently!
Labelled spare laptop chargers and tidied away, other like with like and trying to use my empty shelves. Looked out digital camera not used for years and found a memory card - deleted a few pics and setting aside for the dark winter evenings! .
Cleared some space understairs for paint - still some sitting next to my desk, a couple of old tester paints binned and other put on free sites. Hoping some things will be picked up, item posted, put spare notepads with other spare notepads ,and animal shelter things in the car ready to go, email frog sent, 2 indoor plants beyond saving and soil on garden. 1212.
Enjoying my calmer bedroom, I know may not look it for some but can see most of the floor and only a few items on each surface9 -

So dinner was in Armadillo again 🙂 Sparkling water & rum & cokes 😉 DH had Queso Fundido very spicy as a bit heavy handed with the jalapeños 😬 followed by pork ribs & baked mash 🤤 but the ribs were not quite as good as Sunday night. I had pulled pork slider 🤤 followed by brisket in a BBQ sauce with BBQ baked beans & baked mash 🤤🤤 Back in our rooms by 8:30 p.m. Packed the clothes we wore tonight so tomorrow just have a couple of bits to pack into our hand luggage & yes we do have space for our Duty Free 😉
Although there was a few minutes of rain the temperature is still 29/30C with 80% humidity- needless to say we are sweltering 🥵 Tonight’s live music was a steel drum followed by a 3 man band - singer, drummer & electric organ. Very good 👍
One bit of surprising news - S received a text saying that the whole amount paid for use of the Gatwick Lounge is being refunded 👏 She had put in a complaint - no bacon sandwiches, no bread, limited milk & was expecting maybe £10 or a voucher - so we’ll pleased 🥳
The Salad Dodgers have had a wonderful time - sun, sea, sand, gorgeous fish, leaping crabs, cats wandering around the resort, egrets & little birds sitting on tables, even saw a few lizards today, 2 marvellous trips - the cruise & the jungle tram ride, my massage, great food, copious drinks & extraordinarily friendly staff. Many of the guests were also very friendly & a conversation could start at the drop of a hat 😅 However having said all that it will be nice to come home 😉
So I wish you all a good nights sleep (9:22 p.m. here, 2:22 a.m. in the U.K.) & hope that RL is not being too unkind 🤞

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger safe journey home
@QueenJess sleep deprivation is awful(and used as a form of torture) so don’t beat yourself up. One thought. You talked about your little one having growth spurts. Sometimes your body has to catch up..which is difficult when you are so tired. I was told to try having a “baby moon” when my little girl was feeding. She had not been sleeping for more than about 15 minutes at a time and I was beside myself. Basically you have to do as little as possible for 24 hours , eat lots and feed on demand. It was difficult as I had a toddler but it worked for us as she then slept for nearly 24 hours solid and the feeding became a bit more regular. Also agree with @vulpix sign of intelligence!
No decluttering Sunday but yesterday I pulled more bits of the shelf in the study. Decluttered loads of bits of paper and sorted a few more bits for the CS. Have realised my DSis is coming to visit next Sunday before we go down to Dorset(she is buying my MIL house off of me) so I need to make the place less of a mess, so a bit of an incentive there.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D13 -
What an amazing holiday @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, safe journeying home.
I'm exhausted after a restless night on an inflatable mattress. I'll try the sofa tonight, it's not comfortable for sleeping but it might be marginally better. My living room is so packed with bedroom furniture and belongings that I can just thread my way through a narrow pathway. Plasterer did first stage of fixing the ceiling yesterday and is returning tomorrow to finish off.
Deep cleaned and decluttered the shelving in the kitchen 9 ornaments for the CS, 5 cookery books & an unused whiteboard.
DD3 & GDD took most of the lipsticks and lipglosses, I'll see if the CS will take the remainder.
Bamboo removal having a break after I discovered a bee nest in the middle of the remaining patch. A little dome of shredded dry bamboo leaves. Exploration disclosed an angry hum of many bees in the ground so I hurriedly covered it up and fortunately they were mollified. I can work round them for now, which is what I had uknowingly been doing. Too knackered to dig up bamboo now anyway.

Just a quick drop in to update my signature. Decluttered lots of money for bills and birthdays. Hoping I may have decluttered Covid when I do a test later. Waiting on phone - still says number does not exist but things are supposed to happen today. Wasted an hour trying to talk to Building insurance people yesterday about renewal - cut off three times. Covid is obviously good for weight loss as another 2 lbs off of my first target.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
