Decluttered a Childs tennis game to a friend with children. Put bits into loft.
Have decided to give a brand new picnic hamper to a charity shop, have had it on marketplace and it wasn't even getting views so I will take that tomorrow. A brand new commode which has also been taking up room in the garage is also hopefully being picked up by a buyer tomorrow so I am sure the garage will look a bit better.
Had my odd job man round to look at where my new side gate is going to go. He told me various things had to go, ie some bits of old plastic cold frame(not sure why we still have them) as the gate will have to open inwards. So another pile of odd bits of wood with nails in and a bit of old MDF and some other junk is now on the lawn ready to go to the tip tomorrow.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D8 -
Back round to mums for an hour this evening . Did more weeding /sweeping/pruning. I have almost done the full patio area. Will hopefully get to power wash on Saturday ( weather dependent)
cut a chunk of hydrangea bush back ( it’s huge) so brought all the flower heads home and filled bowls with them .So a pile of garden bags to go to tip but couldn’t get an appointment today and don’t think I’ll have time tomorrow with work/dog/estate agent times. There’s always Friday 😆8 -
Absolutely no decluttering done today. Tomorrow we’re going through the house like a dose of salts and getting things where they need to be to go back up

Happy Birthday @weenancyinAmerica hope you have a fab time.
Still enjoying my bedroom but there is more to do...
Tidied some books, and put other things away, and abit of plastic and rubbish out but v little going out of the house! My DB is bringing my niece's stuff on Saturday which will be here a month while she waits for her next flat (last one was furnished so not much hopefully and new one unfurnished so may find some things for her to take - although understandably she may not want my pass me downs)!
Have arranged for my DIY/decorator to come on tuesday fingers crossed when plumber and BGas should be here.
Think I'm at 1207 and if not will make me find a few more things.
Finance frog sorted.
RL pretty busy esp work.
Hugs to those in need and hoping people taking time to unwind in the tlc carriage x

@Wildrose, I had one of those bees nests several years ago, initially in a large plant pot but they moved right to the edge of my lawn and every time I cut the grass they would attack the mower. Eventually I moved them on by using a garden fork to disturb the nest while standing behind the hose set on spray, it kept them at bay and they flew off to build a new nest at the bottom of the garden. They are still there now8

@mhagster it is over 20 years since I lost my parents and I still miss them. What I would say is that the pain never goes away but you learn to live with it. I still talk to them, sometimes out loud
big hugs

@nannywindow, glad you finally managed to find a vinegar bottle, I can't remember where I got mine from to be honest but it is so old I probably got it from woolies9

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSo we had a leisurely breakfast in Dorado - just sparkling water for DH & I. I had a fruit platter, followed by a cheese & mushroom omelette with baked beans & also toast & marmalade. DH eggs over easy, sausage & bacon + toast 🤤 Returned to our rooms & chilled until 11:00 a.m. having checked that we had everything packed in our hand luggage. Also took a few photos of our room for posterity 😉
The above is the ‘key’ to get into our room & use all the restaurants & bars 😉
DH & I went to our reception & checked out & left the others to check out whilst we walked up to the main building, dropped off the toiletries & books at the TUI office then had a final ice cream 🍨😉 The others joined us & we waited for our minibus to the heliport (a family of 5 were also taking helicopter to airport) We finally set off at 12:30 p.m. We went the scenic route (to avoid the accident in Rodney Bay 😥) & arrived at the heliport about 1:10 p.m. Our hand luggage was stowed & the 6 of us squeezed into the helicopter (4 of us are of the larger persuasion 😅) the two slimmer members of our party sat in the front 😉 It was about a 15 minute journey, flying quite low & banking quite steeply when caught in the air currents 😉 St Lucia is so lush & green with most of the towns/villages near the coast & the centre of the island covered in forest 🙂 The other family had their own helicopter 🙂 When we arrived at the airport, we were ferried by minibus to a building to collect our check-in luggage then onto the terminal. The airport was packed but check-in & going through security was relatively painless although a bit slow. However it was far more pleasant than U.K. or U.S. airports as ALL the staff - even security are smiley, happy & chatty 🙂 A bit chaotic in the gate area but Okay 👍 We all bought our allowance of duty free alcohol but sadly no cigarettes ☹️ (& my brand not available on the plane either 😔) We boarded the plane 20 minutes late after the long walk round the airport & across the tarmac. Took off 20 minutes late but the flight was good & we caught up & arrived at Gatwick about 4:55 a.m. U.K. time. The four us in economy barely slept 😉 I managed to watch two new to me films ‘Motherless Brooklyn’ & ‘Just Mercy’ + watched ‘Going in Style’ again 🙂 Enjoyed all three films 👏 Got through e-gates quicker than usual & none of us had to wait too long for our luggage. No-one at Customs so straight out, said our goodbyes then DH & I headed off to meet our taxi driver. We had to wait 15 minutes before he found us - we were where we had agreed but the cab office had told the driver the pick up was somewhere else 😅 (We saw the rest of the family leaving in their minibus & got a message from them that they were home as we got caught in traffic approaching the Blackwall Tunnel) Left the airport about 6:20 & got home about 7:50 a.m. Straight in - milk was sitting on the doorstep 👏 - put the kettle on & had a cuppa. DSis didn’t get up until about 10:30 😉 not been sleeping well as it has been too hot & muggy ☹️ The lawn out front is brown & the hedge has grown at least 2 feet 😱 However DSis has been watering the plants in the back garden & both the tomatoes & potatoes are doing really well 😃 Both DH & I nodded off throughout the day - DH in his office catching up & me downstairs watching & clearing down programmes from the planner. I have emptied & sorted the contents of my rucksack & converted it back to daily use including putting holiday money back in correct place + opened & sorted half my post. The other 3 suitcases will be emptied tomorrow & all the washing done with a few bits going to CS 🤞 DSis cooked an M*S lasagne & garlic bread - delicious 🤤 I have done the wudupa. Two bits of good news - I won £125 on the Premium Bonds 👏 & the missing postcard from America sent to neighbour finally arrived today - posted 30th May 😂 Our vegetable box was delivered very early before 9 p.m. - mushrooms, potatoes, huge tomato, 3 pak Choi, lettuce, cucumber, marrow, beetroot - all dried & put away.1146 - 1148 Kitchen recycling, newspaper, cardboard box - recycled
1149 - 1150 Kitchen detritus, ood food from fridge - binned
