Holiday Mantras
1. Try not to eat too much but drink plenty of water
2. Restrict time playing AB2 to 45 mins in the morning & 60 mins in the evening 😉
3. Breakfast everyday with the family 😉
4. Enjoy the excursions
Forgot to mention that last night there was a Silent Disco - apparently it is a thing, who knew 🤔 Those who want to hear the music wear headphones & everyone else gets to smile at people dancing as they have no context re dance moves - quite creepy 😉 Although on 2nd thoughts it might be rather handy here, as most nights we have had two lots of music competing against each other 😬 Anyway back to Sunday 😉 DH & I ended up being antisocial until 4:00 p.m. as we couldn’t find the other 4 😅 although we had waved to them from our balcony. When we headed off to join them poolside they had vanished. So rather than hunt for them we headed down to the beach & managed to find a couple of sun beds. We took it in turns to go into the sea & feed the fish. We had two dips each, a couple of beers & a light lunch from the beachside snack bar - a local dish of a potato & shredded fish salad (a bit like our potato salad but far tastier 🤤, with a few carrot sticks, some chips & a small flatbread with grilled chicken & salad. The flatbread was a bit dry so we saved half of it. DH took some & fed the fish. The bit I had was intended for the fish BUT a most magical thing happened - an egret paid a visit & was within 2 arm lengths of me sitting on the sun bed 🥳 So fed him/her by chewing bits of the flatbread & throwing it to the egret. I got to see its peach coloured head & the peach colouring at the bottom of its neck plus how brilliantly white it was 😁 The egret was there at least 15 minutes - I was in seventh heaven. However I was deserted when it followed somebody carrying a plate with food remnants in it - how fickle 🤣Although DH didn’t see the egret, the evidence was in the sand - egret prints & lots of them 😅 I went into the sea with my last small piece of flatbread & managed to see my blue headed wrasse - so more joy 🥹 Our missing quartet had actually gone for a sit down lunch in Grazie & then returned to the pool. We found 3 of the 4 on our way back to our room so stopped & had a chat - how magnanimous of us 😂 Arrangements made that S & C, once showered & changed, would head off at 6:00 p.m. & try to book us in somewhere. Text at 6:10 saying they had a table & we should get to Armadillo asap 😉 Fortunately we had showered & changed 🙂 Plate of red tortilla chips - dyed with colouring ☹️ Rum & cokes for 5, mimosa for 1 + sparkling water. The service was excellent tonight - no long gaps between courses 👏 DH & I both had pork sliders for our starter followed by BBQ pork ribs for DH with a macaroni cheese side (at least twice as much meat as last night which fell off the bone 🙂) DH was delighted. My main course was baked sweet potato with 3 bean chilli + BBQ beans & cheesy fries. Surprised myself by finding a vegetarian dish so very tasty 🤤 although I think I surprised DH more 😂 We were finished eating & out the door by 8:30 p.m. Headed back to our rooms & in before 8:45. The weather was cloudy, hot & muggy ALL day with only a brief sighting of some blue sky although it didn’t rain. Tomorrow will be our last day - so packing needs doing as check-in luggage will be delivered to the airport early Tuesday a.m. 😔 We have had an absolutely wonderful time but truth be told DH & I are both looking forward to going home & sleeping in our own bed 😉
What a lovely supportive post vulpix 😊 Thank you for sharing your experience 👏 Yippee to decluttering insulation boards 👏
QueenJess, hopefully the gathering of hard data & the changes you plan on making will lead to you getting a bit more sleep & help you to feel less exhausted & more in control 🤞I think stymied summed it up very well 🙂
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏
A lovely post stymied 😊 Sounds like QueenJess is making plans 🙂
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, pleased to hear that you are enjoying the photos & holiday updates 🙂 Sorry to hear about DD1 & that she is still struggling but with a lovely supportive mum like you one can only hope that she will regain some equilibrium 🤞 Excellent work on keeping your emails below 20k 👏
Excellent decluttering & tidying Wildrose 👏 I hope you are very proud at sorting out all 15 drawers 👏 As to the lipsticks if no one claims them from fb, perhaps they could be donated to a womens refuge or even a cs 🙂 Good luck with the wardrobe decluttering 🍀 Please note that 4 years is an instant, I only recently unpacked a tea chest which had been untouched for about 30 years - after a couple of house moves 😂 It was mostly pots, pans & baking tins most of which had been replaced 😔 as we had forgotten about the tea chest 🙄 Very pleased to learn that you are starting to believe in yourself 😊 We all know you can do it & now you are joining us in our belief 👏 Feeling excited about decluttering is a good sign & we will support you all the way.
Lovely supportive post TC77 😊
DH & I are currently waiting for housekeeping to deliver some coffee sachets so we can go to bed 🤞 Doing nothing is surprisingly tired 😅

Queen Jess, I remember the intense and exhausting. I introduced my son to things way beyond his years which held his interest to give me a bit of brain space. ❤️:11

Okay, back on decluttering wagon again today.
We moved into the other bedroom due to the extreme heat we have had here lately, but I realise that I prefer the room as it is cooler/quieter and has a nicer view so we have decided to make that our permanent bedroom, even though it is smaller. We are moving everything out of the room apart from the bed, a side table and a mirror to make it look more spacious.:)
I need to rearrange the two rooms and decide what needs to go out of the house today.
So far it is a broken picture frame, an LED candle I bought from a chazzer, but it keeps staying on when it is supposed to be off and paperwork/packaging, but I need to go and tackle it all properly.2025 GOALS

Tiny, tiny steps again today. 4 DVDs and 2 books going to the CS and a small bundle of carp for the bin/recycling. It means I have clear space in front of the books on 2 bookshelves, so I've given them a good dust. Will try very hard not to put 'stuff' in the space again!3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Another run through the sheds has produced some more bits for the skip so some old bits of copper pipe, a most disreputable broom and assorted stuff have left the building.Overnight the skip has acquired a car seat and a toy glider of some sort (all broken up). It’s definitely come
from other neighbours but I’ve no idea who as it’s come from the other direction to the wardrobe. I don’t begrudge them
just curious……
Well done to everyone on their decluttering. And thank you for

Passport found, phew. (Given it's my only form of photo ID, I need to be a bit more consistent in assigning a safe place...)
3361-3362: batteries from central heating timer to recycling.
3363-3387: items to bin and recycling including a bag full of receipts and odd bits of paper torn up and turfed while looking for passport...
3388-3389: another 2 GB data deleted.
That's it for now, having another dive into the wardrobe while packing. Early start Wednesday.

Well even after a phone call we never got our coffee sachets 😖
Monday dawned with blue skies, humid & hot 🥵 W & T went down to the beach & set up in a cabana. S & C took a taxi to Pigeon Island. DH & I joined W & T for our last breakfast in Dorado? We returned to our room & started our packing - big case packed, other check in bag almost packed & just the 2 carry on bags to sort leaving space for our duty free 😉
Lovely post vulpix ☺️
Let the countdown begin Deni_debt-free_dreamer 😊
