Holiday Mantras
1. Try not to eat too much but drink plenty of water
2. Restrict time playing AB2 to 45 mins in the morning & 60 mins in the evening 😉
3. Breakfast everyday with the family 😉
4. Enjoy the excursions
Reporting in on Sunday 31st 11:26 a.m. local time. The sky is completely covered with cloud & it is very muggy & hot - seems to be threatening rain but none so far. However there is occasionally a very pleasant cooling breeze. We have been very antisocial so far today 😉 We lazed around until 9:00 a.m. then headed off to the main building. I tried to book a massage for this afternoon but Michelle doesn’t work on Sunday ☹️ Then had a buffet breakfast - hash browns, bacon & sausage + toast, sparkling water & coffee for the both of us. The queues for any form of egg based dishes was way too long 😉 Then we headed off to see the TUI rep to confirm arrangements for our departure on Tuesday. We have forked out for a ride to the heliport & a helicopter transfer to the airport as one of our party really did not enjoy the 2 hour drive from the airport to the resort when we arrived ☹️ Also found out that TUI collect part used sun creams, mosquito sprays, toiletries etc for use by new guests as the resort shop is exorbitantly expensive 😱 The rest of our party are by one of the pools as there is a lot of seaweed floating about on the beach ☹️ Our room was cleaned whilst we were on our balcony & Rufina has left us another towel animal.
A crab this time 😄 The previous one has been identified as an elephant 🙂
DH is currently reading a book in the air conditioned room & I am out on the balcony sweating for England - the weather makes for an ideal sauna 😅 Will get changed into swim wear shortly & join the others 😉 I think 4 hours of being antisocial is probably enough 😅
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 All those bits & pieces gone or tidied away soon mount up & create a stress free environment 🙂
Sorry to hear you have had such a stressful week Wildrose ☹️ Good luck with the bedroom clearance in readiness for the plasterer 🍀 Remember to post a picture when the plastering is done - you know how many of us love watching plaster dry 😉🥹 As to decluttering the newspaper subscription very well done 👏 I am very impressed as I also find it hard to stay firm when someone is trying to change my mind about cancelling something. One medal 🏅 on its way 🙂
Well done for finding ways to fill your skip florianatwobob 👏 after all skips are not particularly cheap to hire & it goes against the grain not to fill them 😉 Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 to you & your friends 🙂 Bye, bye 👋 stair carpet 👋 & thanks for more pictures of plaster drying - so soothing 👏
Yah boo 😒 to positive test GrannyKate 😖 Everything crossed that it is a mild case & over quickly 🤞+ no one else in the family succumbs 🤞 Don’t forget to pop into the TLC carriage if things get too manic 🙂
QueenJess, I agree with Wildrose - functioning on too little sleep is exhausting at the best of times - throw an ill child into the mix & all of a sudden it is like trying to plough through molasses ☹️😔 Excellent decluttering with all you are coping with 👏
What a thoughtful & kind post Wildrose 👏
DH & I will change now & head off to join the others.
Sending hugs & good wishes to all & hoping you have the best day you can - circumstances permitting.

Hugs queen Jess. Chronic sleep deprivation is just awful. I sympathise. My son never slept for more than 3 hours for years. My old Doctor told me it was a sign of great intelligence. Indeed he is a clever clogs! Take heart, you are nurturing a beautiful clever child. It does get better, honest. ❤️Man just been to collect left over insulation boards.:9

@QueenJess... sleep deprivation is awful, hope a little more sleep all round tonight.
wonky boot shaper, whiteboard collected, found some redundant paperwork, shredded in in recycle bin, sorted some excess stationery for passing on, Paper sorting takes long time, esp as decluttering the left over wine in the fridge - I drink rarely so a little goes a long way2

Hoping I might get a little more done tonight but think wishful thinking x8 -
Realise no went wrong earlier, lost 1000 , that was before the drink8

@QueenJess it doesn’t sound terrible in the slightest! It sounds perfectly normal to me that you need time to recharge your battery - little ones are so full on and exhausting! Is there any way you could start stretching the night feeds out, even if it’s just by an extra 5 minutes a week?8

Hi everyone
Loving all the holidays pics and updates Mrs S_D
hugs to those in need, agree with the comments on how debilitating lack of sleep and interrupted sleep can be.
I haven't achieved much decluttering, RL is stressful as DD1 continues with her MH struggles. She did do some tidying for me and i've added some more stuff to the CS bags - not removed from the house so not counting them yet. I did deliver a birthday present that i've had for about 3 weeks so that has now gone. Also shredded some more paperwork and managing to keep emails below 20k

Maybe I should write down the times she actually feeds each time and then I’ll be better able to make a decision in the day when I’m more awake and can see a pattern. I think I’ll give that a try for the next few nights and then make some changes.2025 decluttering: 3,925🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Sorted through all 15 drawers, chucked out 12 bits and pieces, old make-up & stationery. Not much recyclable. Put aside about a dozen Estee Lauder full size lipsticks, totally unused. They were special offer gifts but colours that totally don't suit me. Will prob put them on a give away fb site. If no takers they'll be binned.
Realised I have way too much furniture in my bedroom. I have that huge built in wardrobe which has been stuffed with all sorts. As I'll have to wait for the plaster to dry before I can paint the ceiling, I'll take the opportunity to have an thorough declutter. There's stuff in there that went in on moving in day and have been there ever since, almost exactly 4 years. Then I'll have space to store the clothing in the other bedroom furniture, then that can go too. The space!
Once this is done I'm moving onto DS3's room which is also stuffed with boxes of misc. We've been in survivor mode, not helped by my RTC but now it's time to properly move forward. I feel quite excited about it, with the inspiration and support of this thread it actually seems possible.10 -
@Wildrose.. not sure if it helps but I have things that haven't moved from their original home over 25 year ago! And I'm sure I'm not alone
@Deni_debt-free_dreamer, I'm sorry to hear about DD1 and sending hugs and hope you're getting some support and taking care of yourself too8
