Holiday sounds amazing Mrs SD!Vulpix nothing for it but to just keep on going ! Only me to do it. And hopefully we can get house up for sale by end of next month and sold before end of autumn, luckily it’s an area where houses are selling quickly.Dropped stuff off at charity shop this morning. Then late morning popped in to grab some boxes …45 minutes later! I think ( though I’ve said so before when I think that’s it all😆) that’s the end of the paper worky stuff! I’ll peruse at a later date here. Then an unexpected visit from my real boy to see the dog boy. He lives about an 90 minute drive away so that was lovely to see him…however he is also very tall and skinny ( unlike me😆) so he was recruited to go up in mums loft! Now, I didn’t think there was anything up there. She’d had to empty it 8 years ago for it to be insulated. Ha! Maybe there wasn’t as much as before but holy moly at what came down! But it’s now a manageable task and I’ll get it sorted over next few days and hopefully get it to the tip Tuesday/Wednesday.Anyway he took away 2 suitcases ( there were 4) I bought him some groceries at supermarket and then transferred him some money for petrol ( because I’m far too good to him!)
And then he brought down my suitcases from my loft as DD2 and I are too short to reach it!So more mess created but will be dealt with and the loft is now ticked off the to do list.10 -
Work is finally done with for four weeks and I can now pick up all the things I’ve been ignoring for the past few weeks.
I started by clearing up most my desk on Friday and spent 10 mins clearing up the side in my bedroom which had become a bit of a dumping ground.

Holiday Mantras
1. Try not to eat too much but drink plenty of water
2. Restrict time playing AB2 to 45 mins in the morning & 60 mins in the evening 😉
3. Breakfast everyday with the family 😉
4. Enjoy the excursions
We met up at the Main Buffet Restaurant & what an excellent selection of food 🥳 I had a salad with a strawberry dressing 😋 DH had all sorts including jerk chicken which was a tad spicy 🥵- I also shared some of his tomato rice 😋 + mimosas & sparkling water. I then headed off to the spa. Filled in the forms & paid + selected my fragrance - eucalyptus then shown to locker where I changed into a gown (wore my swim shorts 😉). Shown to the relaxation room & was in there for at least 10 minutes - I thought they had forgotten me as the 2 people who came in after me were collected & went for their treatments 😱Eventually a lovely young lady called Michelle took me to the massage room. Odd experience (post Covid) as I was covered with a sheet & blanket & each limb was uncovered & massaged separately then recovered when she moved to the next limb. She also wore gloves which truthfully I didn’t notice until she had nearly finished. When I was lying on my back I had to wear a mask - no problem as I was almost asleep 😉 However didn’t sleep as I wanted to enjoy the whole experience. After the full body massage I had a facial massage & cleanse. It was marvellous but to cap it off I lost my way trying to get back to the locker room & ended up in the men’s section 🤣 Came out of the men’s door just as my DH appeared at reception wondering where I was as I had been gone 2 hours 🤣 Only DH & C we’re on the terrace as everyone else had eaten their ice cream & gone off to the pool or back to the cabana 😉 DH & I went back to our room & got changed into swim wear, back to the cabana & had another dip in the sea. Returned to our room just before 6:00 p.m. Showered & dressed for dinner. I had Tuna Tartare & Crusted Atlantic Salmon with a dill butter sauce & potato gratin with truffle oil 😋 DH had octopus salad & grouper fillet with chips 😋 Sparkling water & mimosas/rum & coke to drink. Back in our room before 9:00 p.m. Another wedding + another party so 2 lots of music competing with each other 😔
Now a bit of cheerleading whilst I drink my coffee 🙂
Party time teachergirl 🥳 Well done for persevering 🙂 What a good mum you are 😇 hopefully you will have enough left to upgrade your car 🤞 Now you have the “lovely” task of writing your complaint letter 😉 Good job it was spirits & not anything that could explode 😉 Excellent decluttering, you did work hard 👏 I am sure you will enjoy being at your daughter’s - she will need a supervisor 😉
mhagster, you really must be careful - manhandling large pieces of furniture on your own is NOT conducive to good health 😔 Very pleased that you managed to avoid injury 👏
2Scratters, loving the back to front decluttering report 😉 You have worked hard & well done on dealing with so many frogs 👏
vulpix, don’t forget to invite me round when the cabana is built - we could enlarge a few photos 😉 How about a sunrise & sunset - see below
Eclectic decluttering 👏
nannywindow, I bet you were the same when you were younger - hollow legs 😉 My problem is I put on weight just ‘thinking’ about cake 😂 Excellent work tidying etc in preparation for the DGCs visit 👏
mhagster - 😡 bad enough that he crashed into your car but then to try & drive away 😖 I hope you exchanged details & I take it the Tip guys witnessed the incident 🤞 Great news about doggie 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 Please, please take care moving slabs 🙏 you do not want to injure yourself or become so tired/achy that you cannot continue your excellent decluttering 😉
Thanks TC77 👏 most of the photos have been taken on DH’s iPhone. Apart from the wedding photo which sadly is one I took on my iPad 😔 A bit harsh of your DD2 😞 If the paint is a nice colour perhaps it can be used elsewhere - not hoarding just being MSE 🙂 Excellent decluttering & tidying 👏
accidentalglixch, pleased to hear that the central heating installation has gone well 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏
florianatwobob, good luck with the hall/stairs/landing decluttering 🍀 Yippee to shed decluttering 👏 & being able to have a freezer in the cleared space 🥳
short_bird, Wishing you success with both your time sensitive projects 🙂 especially the sale of records - hopefully for oodles of cash 😉
Exciting times vulpix - joiner finished, electrician due & kitchen clear & tidy 👏 If you do get the cobblestones dug up remember to either keep them for another project or maybe sell them on 😉
mhagster, DH & I are both surprised at how much we are enjoying the holiday 😉 Doing nothing much apart from eating, drinking & jumping in the sea several times a day 😄 Excellent decluttering 👏 How lovely that your DS turned up 😊 just when you needed him to empty the ‘empty’ loft 😂 Regardless of the mess, ticking off the loft from the To Do list is a major achievement 👏
Enjoy your 4 weeks off work QueenJess 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent work short_bird 👏
Phew, I have caught up 😮💨 I can go to bed with a clear conscience 😉 I will be in bed & asleep by 11:00 p.m. my time (4:00 a.m. U.K. time)
Stay safe everyone.

Hi – can’t believe how long it’s taken me to catch up! I love your holiday mantras, Mrs SD 😃
If I had a mantra, I think it would be ‘be very grateful and keep it simple’
this morning I am very grateful because a few months ago I was imagining I’d be in a hostel by now! 😂😂 I still haven’t been served the notice of possession so I’m kicking my heels, living out of 2 suitcases 😂😂 Ready to go! I feel like I’m living in a hotel (which is my ideal existence), only have what I need and I know where everything is, it’s really easy to keep tidy 😃
everything is packed, my nicest bits are ready to go into storage (just in case) , I have two offers of vans for the actual move, i’ve got 35 lots going up for auction in the next couple of months, carbooted or donated everything else and I’ve done most of the cleaning. I have virtually nothing to do, and no obligations - no housework, no paperwork, no gardening, no Doom boxes, nothing to make me feel anxious/guilty/obligated/avoidant about 😂😂 I’m just a Pleasure Seeker these days 😂😂
Since CAB stepped in, i’ve been getting a lot more help and it has speeded up one of the appointments which I have been waiting years for now!! I’ve got used to the idea of going into more sheltered accommodation and, as of today I qualify for over-55 accommodation 🥳🎉🎂🥂🍾😂😂
I’m out to breakfast then to the beach, a celebratory lunch with some friends and a little siesta 😃 I mustn’t overdo it because I have a busy week next week. Between the library, the leisure centre and my craft club, I’m a busy lady 😃
thank heavens for my bus pass😃 I don’t think I would ever want to drive again!Anyways, have a great day. The weather is beautiful. Work rest AND play 😃12 -

I urgently need to do some decluttering as my new house is feeling full to the seams. I keep buying too much stuff since I've been here.
First up is our wardrobes, the "before" pics. My husband's wardrobe is far worse than mine, but I want to go through them both and make a pile for the charity shops.
I also bought some Dylon black dye to dye his trousers back to black as they are getting very grey and faded. I will post the "after" pics when I finish decluttering them both. I do have another wardobe with my winter jumpers and coats, but I will leave that nearer to the autumn to go through.
