Good morning one & all - just turned 8:00 a.m. here - I am dressed & sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee & DH is having a quick shower. It is currently rather cloudy but very warm & humid.
This is the view from our balcony 🙂 & the photo below is the bath in the room
The open door to the top left is the wet room/shower room.
A bit of cheerleading before we head off for breakfast 😉
mhagster very pleased to hear that doggy is now home recuperating 👏 Excellent decluttering 👏Especially sorting out photos & emptying freezer - you are definitely on a roll. Really hoping you can put up a photo of the flowers in their crystal vase 🙏
Oops just seen the time so will love you & leave you & be back after breakfast 🙂

Hello, minimal decluttering happening at moment. With work and heat it has been too hot and couldn't be bothered.
Need to pass on DD outgrown uniform. Started another carboot pile. Hopefully get a chance to do one in August.
Today I visited a community pantry for first time. For £4 came away with lots and real variety. Gave majority to a friend who is affected by all the price hikes. Will go again on Sunday.

Big big squeezy hugs @GrannyKate .
Looks and sounds fabulous @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
Fab clearing out @mhagster
Glad we are outed now @vulpixIt has been one of the great pleasures of my life meeting you and DH.
So glad for the drizzle today. I walked into town after dropping the camper off to have is MOT. I dropped off 2 bags of used tablet sleeves to superdrug, bought DD a bubble tea and a stick on light for her dark hall cupboard in her flat. Also sent a parcel. Bumped into a friend by accident and had coffee. All very nice. Minimal work on van to get though its MOT.
Also popped in to see a friend.
Gearing up for DD move, trying to think of things she may need e.g. now where to dry clothes in this flat.

The money hit my account 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 As soon as it was in, I gave a large chunk to my daughter as they had to show proof of funds for their move. Tomorrow I will give an equally large chunk to my son for the house repairs to the house he is buying. Leaving me with a much smaller amount with which I hope to upgrade my car to a slightly newer one. ❤️
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I have no idea why there is alcohol in the loft either🤣 but suspect it was when we brought a load of stuff back from either the MIL's or my parents house when we cleared them and in the absence of anywhere to put things ,or perhaps because we were in a hurry , we dumped them in the loft and then we forgot about it🤦🏼♀️
I have worked super hard today. My DD invited me to go and stay for the weekend before they move. I said no initially because I hate packing and stuff but as she was dissappointed I decided to stop being an old grump and go.
So took lots of empty boxes down from the loft of things I don't even have anymore. Even when flattened it filled the boot of the car. Added an old laundry basket, mowed the lawn ,so added two bags of garden waste and took it all down to the tip. Cancelled the papers, took a library book back, did two wash loads and ironed . Then packed ready to go tomorrow.
So the only decluttering for the next few days will be if I help my daughter with her packing and sorting.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D15 -
Hello
second update of the day
back round to mums tonight . Friend’s husband kindly broke through the shed padlock for me ( no one knew where key was though everyone had put it back allegedly!) and it’s not as bad as I feared inside. Hello lawnmower! Cut the grass. Hurrah! Then manhandled a wardrobe downstairs. And a fridge and a freezer. The little red hen doing it herself! Will book a council collection tomorrow.Tip booked for 8am tomorrow again so alarms set to go off early.11 -

So we didn’t come back to our room after breakfast - fruit platter, toast with grape jelly, mimosa & coffee - we went to see the TUI rep to discuss excursions - we have yet to book anything & it looks like the zip-line might be out as it is 8 zip lines 😱 & you have to do all 8 to get from top to bottom with no way down if you don’t like it after the 1st one 😔 After discussing options & mobility requirements, we retired to the Terrace & had ice cream. Eventually returned to our rooms about midday, changed into swim wear & then made our to the beach. Managed to get our cabana again
W, T, S & C all went into the pool at one time or another but DH & I only went in the sea 🙂 Lots of alcoholic beverages & no lunch ☹️ DH & I saw 3 types of fish including some very attractive yellow & black striped fish plus we saw several crabs scampering about on the rocks. We managed to persuade W & T into the sea & I accompanied S when she decided to go in. DH & I were in & out of the sea several times. A lot warmer & more humidity today as there wasn’t much rain but there was occasionally a very stiff breeze. Another gloriously lazy day chilling & chatting. Left the beach about 5:30 & arranged to meet up at 6:30 for an early dinner. DH & I both had showers & I rinsed out our swim wear. We had decided on a new place to dine but it started to rain just as we reached the Italian trattoria so we went in 😉 The food was delicious - I had meatballs then lasagne (the chef had been a bit heavy handed with the pepper ☹️), DH had carpaccio & gnocchi & enjoyed every last bite. Sparkling water and mimosas/rum & coke - as if we hadn’t had quite enough alcohol 😂 Back in our rooms before 9:00 p.m. all of us absolutely shattered 🥱 DH made us a coffee which we drank & he is now rather annoyingly snoring (10:15 p.m.)
Lovely post bit_by_bit 😊 An excellent day of decluttering 👏 & well done on staying safe in the heat 😇
Good work TC77 👏
Liverpool_Anne, 20C sounds like a welcome relief from Tuesdays excessive heat 🙂 Good luck dealing with the frogs especially the insurance 🍀
Thanks nannywindow 👏 I bet you thought you were being invaded by clumsy aliens 😂 Poor Canada goose - pleased to hear it was just dazed & confused 🫤 (are you singing the Led Zeppelin song 😉) rather than hurt 🙂 Such a disappointment when the hairdresser fails to do a good job so very pleased to hear your hair grows quick. Remember every bit out or tidied away is another step on the path to a clutter free home.
Excellent point/question Sarah1Mitty2 - you have hit the nail on the head 🙂
Excellent decluttering short_bird - still going strong 👏
Interrupting my cheerleading to say there is a wedding party & they have just had a 10 minute firework display 🙂 Must say they were the loudest fireworks I have ever heard 😱
teachergirl I am quite jealous - a peacock dropping in for a visit 😅 although over the years we have had a sparrow hawk pop in for his pigeon dinner & a drake & mallard also popped in for a couple of hours 😉 but never anything as exotic as a peacock 😂 Excellent decluttering 👏 I bet if you hadn’t had an audience you would have got it put together in five minutes flat 😉
Now that the noise is over I am struggling to keep my eyes open so I will say goodnight & see you tomorrow 🙂

Happy Friday Peeps,
Well we seem to have had a back to front run of decluttering after the debarcal of wrong fuel in my car last week. The CB stuff is still in the van and waiting to be emptied. Some items were removed yesterday and were not permitted into the house until checked out. Some stuff has gone straight into the bin. Permitted stuff coming back in has gone directly into its correct location , albeit in the loft in its place. DH is supposed to be erecting some shelving up in there as I have already moved the dismantled item up in readiness. Might just do it myselfSo the back of the van is being decluttered slowly. As I am to be working for the next 6 weekends its not looking like I will do another CB.
Friday frog sorted - what a battle trying to get through to previous van insurance company to get the evidence of NCD. Done and forwarded.
Thursday frog of errands, witnessed some stuuupid drivers on the journey, think we may need a dash cam. Finished small pile of ironing and put away. Went for evening chatch up with neighbour till very late.
Wednesday frog was to reapply for DH ESA. For one reason or another they said for him to do that. Still no pennies of assistance. Fingers crossed for that.
Tuesday managed to put things like with like again just to keep on top of tidiness, just to keep out of the heat for a bit. We both put salad tea together.

Hi.
I could see a cabana in my top garden Mrs SD. It would look a treat. Just not got the same view as yours.Bit by bit the feeling is mutual. X

Friday started very overcast but muggy with a stiff breeze. Now can see some blue sky & has got even warmer. Breakfast at 8:30 & we got a table outside. Mimosas, sparkling water & coffee, my usual fruit platter & toast but also had a fried egg & bacon. An added bonus was the most delicious marmalade 😄
Back to our rooms to change into swim wear & about to go the beach - a new cabana with a gentle slope into the sea 👏Back this evening.MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Hello all, this morning we were out early to do some food shopping as the DGC are coming Sun to Thurs and will eat me out of house and home as they're both eating anything that's not nailed down now. I wouldn't mind but they're both stick thin and I've only got to look at a cake and I put on weight 🤨
This afternoon I have dusted and hoovered through the downstairs and tomorrow I'll do the upstairs, change the our bed and put up the folding bed in the spare room, then make up both beds in the spare room too.
Out today the cardboard sleeve from an online delivery and a broken glasses case, plus daily detritus.
MrsSD oh look at those beautiful blue skies ! Shame about the zip line scenario. I'm glad you're all enjoying yourselves, especially the alcohol 😉
mhagster you'll have some big muscles after doing all that heavy work.
teachergirl hope you're DD's move goes without a hitch.
Fizz how lovely of you to share with your friend.
Sorry if I haven't commented on posts but I have completely forgotten what I was going to say or to whom.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need, especially those in the TLC carriage.
