Fingers crossed for a reduction of hours @Siebrie Even half a day less can make a difference.
Thankyou @Liverpool_Anne I think the reason it hadn't gone yet was the clutter
Hey @cashlink. As vulpix says; a lot of charity shops would put those jeans in a rag bag and still make money out of them. ,many won't take undies or socks although mine used to sell bras. I belieer there is a place you can send bras to for use abroad.
Also @Siebrie is correct. I believe H&M among others will swap clothes for vouchers. I haven't done this myself.
Lol @florianatwobob
So a good day despite the heat. Not much cleaning but more books listed on The Bay and some items also listed on gumtree. Some sold already, collected and some not.
Helped the lady over the road to replace her tap attachment for her hose. The daft mare went for a walk to the gp for a blood form at the height of thte heat. She isn't well so I had to tell her off, gently. Keeping an eye on her.
A whole bag of Denby cups saucers and a plate and two gas cylinders are gone. Counting 3 bags. Also just sold a small item on The bay.
I watered the plot and garden this morning, sooo nice while it was cool(ish). Looking forwrd to some relief from the heat. Picked some rasberries for Mil and popped in.
Started loading shelves with scrap books and diaries from over the years in readiness for my witner project. There will be several empty boxes under the bed once sorted.
So a slow but useful day.

Hi, about to catch up and just noticed the thing about h &m. Not sure if they still do the vouchers for clothes but they give them as rags so not reused so I decided to only take rags/ fabric and things that can be reused to CS. Will read back through posts. 2 unsubscriptions and some emails so 3
Hope everyone not to the worse for wear from heat

Holiday Mantras
1. Try not to eat too much but drink plenty of water
2. Restrict time playing AB2 to 45 mins in the morning & 60 mins in the evening 😉
3. Breakfast everyday with the family 😉
4. Enjoy the excursions
Tuesday morning was hot 🥵 DH showered & we were both dressed & sorted by 6:15 a.m. Walked from the hotel across to Gatwick & met up with DH’s - DSis (W) & DBiL (T), DN (S) & her husband (C). Had to queue to check in the bags but getting through security was pretty painless - none of us set off them alarm 😉 Went to paid for lounge - Buck’s Fizz, a fried breakfast (but no eggs or bread ☹️) & coffee. Made our way to the gate - some delay & took off 45 minutes late. Pleasant enough flight although there was some turbulence early on. W & T were in 1st Class whilst the other 4 of us were in the cheap seats 😉 Food was pretty good & plenty to drink. An 8 hours plus flight with a captain who was retiring & on his last trip apart from flying back to London. A bit slow getting off the plane into the blast furnace, masks required in the ST Lucia terminal. Temperature checks, had to show our vaccine records but immigration & security were pretty straightforward. S had hired a minibus for the 2 hour drive across the island. Excellent driver, Danny who took us through the capital & we got to see all the scantily clad females as it was last day of Carnival. The minibus had air con but getting out was so hot 🥵 & humid that we were dripping wet within 30 seconds 😔 Checking into the hotel was a bit of a faff but eventually we all got to our rooms - 3 rooms all next door to each other. Unpacked & put everything in drawers & wardrobe - a novelty for us as we are usually moving around 😉 We have a balcony, the room is large with a bath & double sink unit adjacent to the bed 😂 + a large shower room & separate toilet. Both of us showered & changed then met up with the others for dinner. Reasonable sized portions - lobster bisque with cognac for me with grilled salmon & sweet potato gratin & cheesecake. DH had ceviche, snapper & chips & a mousse. A pleasant, chatty meal & all inclusive 👏 Back to our rooms by 9:30 p.m. - everyone exhausted. Will meet up for breakfast but will probably have a lazy day then plan a few trips out later in the week.
No photos as yet 😉
Nice to see you back from your travels Liverpool_Anne 👋 Good luck with the ironing mountain 🍀 Thanks for sharing your friend’s experience with an insurance company - whatever happened to common sense 😔 Lovely cheerleading ☺️
TC77, sorry to hear no trip away again this year ☹️ But perhaps a bit of sand by the paddling pool, a bucket & spade & a kiss me quick hat can offer a little taste of holiday time 😉
Great work EnergyShifter 👏
Fingers crossed for your father Siebrie 🤞Sounds like he is a born salesman ☺️Great work with the steady flow of sales, Floss 👏 Hopefully the nasty stuff will be completely gone by the time you return to work 🤞
Siebrie what a full on life - work, renovations, girls off school & DH out of the country 😱 Hopefully your husband can get a raise & enable you to reduce your work hours 🤞 Please try to get at least a little time to yourself 🙏
Another great cheerleading post Liverpool_Anne 👏 at this rate you will put me out of a job 😂🙃
Apologies I am dead on my feet so will come back tomorrow & carry on cheerleading 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Hi all, this morning has been a cool 20 degrees with a brisk breeze which feels wonderful, no doubt we will all be complaining that it is cold in a few days
I did nothing except cook tea yesterday, it was scorchio. Today I have to go to the shops as it is OH birthday next week and I haven't got a pressie yet. I also have a few frogs to sort out and my car insurance is due so I really need to crack on with sorting it out. I think I really will have to bite the bullet and get a new laptop. It keeps crashing and it's driving me mad. I will try to remove some more of the junk off it but I think it's definitely time for a new one. I did try to clear some emails yesterday on my phone but it was hard work.
@cashlink I use socks and pants as dusters etc, socks are particularly good as you can put them on like gloves and wipe awayI use them until they are more hole than sock
Take care everyone11 -
MrsSD glad you had a relatively easy journey. Now you can relax and enjoy yourselves.
I thought I would tell you of my experience this morning, I hope you don't mind, I still can't get over it. I was up early after a sleepless night and having a cuppa when there was an almighty crash through our trees and a Canada goose landed with a bump on the lawn 😱 Don't know who was more surprised, the goose or us. It hung around but didn't seem hurt, just confused 🤔. As I had an early interview appointment with the vampire nurse we left it wandering quietly around the garden and looking in the patio doors, which we had hastily shut. The nurse didn't know why I was there and a search ensued on the computer but she finally took my blood, then we went on to the garden centre for coffee ( got one free with our loyalty card 👍) and a meander. By the time we arrived home happily the goose had gone and it wasn't joined by the flock, so there was no need to call the RSPCA or RSPB !
Yesterday I had my haircut again, I've gone from very long to shoulder length to short, a bit too short really but the hairdresser was scissors happy. Never mind my hair grows quite quickly and the difference between a good cut and a bad one....... is a fortnight, boom boom 😂 I finished my jigsaw yesterday too so it has been boxed up and put away along with the board for another time. Out today only several emails.
Cashlink I also use socks and pants as dusters until there's almost no material left.
Take care all

Interesting thread, amazing how clutter or lack of seems to link into mental health/wellbeing isn`t it?9

3235-3237: 2 bags of rubbish and a bag of mixed recycling out to bin.
3238-3257: items to bin and recycling
3258-3260: life maintenance tasks sorted out.
3261-3263: 3GB data deleted.
Obviously relieved at drop in temperature. Left work last night and it was like being slapped in the face with a wet flannel...‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

@nannywindow love the Canada goose story. We had a peacock in the garden once and I did phone the RSPCA and RSPB nobody would do anything as apparently they are semi wild. Thankfully(especially for my dogs) it decided to leave after about 4 days.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger have a lovely holiday
@mhagster glad the doggy is recovering.
So went into loft and found two large very dusty boxes. One for an aquarium we no longer have and one for my sons guitar(he left home 10 years ago.) So both down to be recycled. Then a large piece of wood which used to be a desktop on the children s high rise bed. (My husband used it as a shelf in the loft...to me it was just in the way and I don't want a shelf to keep more tut🤦🏼♀️ ) I have put it on free cycle for the moment as it is a lovely piece of wood.
Someone bought a camping stove I put on market place.
And finally..a decluttering win but not very MSE😊. I have lots of camping gear I need to get rid of. I started with the camping wardrobe. I decided £15 was a good price. Then I took some photos and started to put it together for the final photo.......20 frustrating minutes later(not helped by the fact the workman next door could see what I was doing) I put it all back in the bag so I didn't have to put it up and free cycled it.....already gone 🤣. My time was worth more than the £15 today.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D12
