@bit_by_bit thank you
Was it @nannywindow who had a bingo chore list? I think I need to make a plan say oct - sort out old computer, and copy files, nov photos but the chances of sticking at it v low. Think just trying to bring in less would be good. Did give DD2 £ for paddling pool, pump and new picnic blanket... but not going away this year, again8 -

Siebrie, good on your dad & his selling success!
Vulpix, I wish someone would send me on an emergency cruise 😂
Not much going on - a steady trickle of Ebay sales leaving the house, spare cat fur being regularly removed, too much rubbish food bring eaten 😕
And my exhaustion has been sent packing after 2 weeks off sick which has let my brain start to process the nasty stuff, with help from our staff support team. Back to work next week after my week's leave.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

The last 2 weeks I have worked mornings only, as my 2 dds are on their summer break from 1 July until 31 August (9 weeks...). With the ongoing renovation, and other things we had to arrange (like the small admin backlog), it was going quite well. This week, I work fulltime on Monday and Tuesday, I have to drop dd2 (11) off at her summer course (building robots), and dd1 (14) was supposed to go to the hairdresser's today, by bus. And the stress is back! I have to work today, then standard half-day tomorrow, and then have a break for 2.5 weeks, going back to mornings only for the rest of August. I'm going to have a serious discussion with my husband about working fewer hours permanently. He has just had a change of job - semi-promotion within his firm, and is in contract discussions, so maybe he will succeed in obtaining a raise.

Hi all, it's already 29 degrees and I am wilting
@florianatwobob I know what you mean about the plaster, before I had mine done every time I redecorated chunks would come off with the old paper until it was almost more filler than plaster but now it's done and I can just paint I love it. Definitely worth every penny it cost.
@StickyTheStickInsect, great to see you back but so sorry about the long covid and the job, big hugs
@bit_by_bit, well done on finding a flat in Manchester, it can be a nightmare finding somewhere to live.
@short_bird, ode rammel , love itsometimes I think my house is full of it
@nannywindow, if you are not actually using the radio I would definitely sell it
@vulpix, how annoying to lose the trowel and secateurs, I feel for you. I am always finding things I have lost in the silliest of places. Those safe places are so safe it is pure chance when I find them
I am going for another shower, it is just too hot
Take care everyone

Hi chums.Last day of heat endurance. Liverpool Anne could you spare a bit of rain? I think we will be dancing in the street when it comes.
Actually it isn’t too bad in my house. The wood shields us from direct sun. The poor joiner though, still insulating the giant shed.Various offspring will be passing through over the next few weeks. I am corralling stuff to give them. DS and DD1 plants though DD1 can only travel as a foot passenger on the ferry as booked up for cars. So sadly she can only take cuttings in a zip lock bag. DS has a hatch back car so many plants in pots will be leaving with them. I have gathered about 10 pens for him from around the house. He is a teacher and is always grateful for them. Where do they come from? It’s not that long ago that I gave him just as many. I also have little gifts for DS and wife for their wedding anniversary.I started to finish the cross stitch card for them. I know I am wearing prescription specs from 4 years ago but my eyes are dreadful. Optician appointment needed. This time I will just get the cheapest frames because I just lose them.Managed to break my magnifying mirror. I will replace it. We also replaced the fan.Dss will also come with his cousin for our bed. I know only a year old but I can’t get on with it. I regret getting rid of the old traditional mattress bed. Me n memory foam just don’t gel.Love to all. Particularly Granny Kate. It will pass.Vx
ps just had everything out of my chest of drawers. Out 2 hardly worn jumpers.:9 -
Hi Everyone,
I have a question about socks and pants!
I don’t know how to recycle them, they are clean, old and have holes. Currently residing at the bottom of my wardrobe!
Also hubbys old jeans with holes, also at bottom of my wardrobe! I don’t like to just chuck in the bin but don’t know what else to do.
Help!!7 -
Cashlink. I put them all in a bag labelled clean rags and give them to the charity shop. I believe they are shredded and made into other things. Hope I am correct about that. Vx:9
