169 target 👍 yesterday decluttered a few jumpers which will never be worn so although a bag was filled lm saying 1/169 they are in the car ready to be dropped of on Monday. As it’s forecast to be warm today l might stay in the cool of the room of doom and sort some more ‘stuff’ for the exit door. Have a safe Sunday & keep cool 😎Count down to retirement 20238

The feet in basin of cold water is a traditional way of cooling down in France, Mrs SD. Sophisticated folk add ice.
Enjoy your trip And best wishes for a safe, trouble- free journey.
Keep safe everyone.11 -
All the washing done ✅ and I'm not looking for more as it's too hot to do anything productive today although I have, with DH's help, hung the washed and dripped dry duvet on the whirly to finish off. No cooking today as it's going to be a hot one and we had our "Sunday lunch" yesterday, but now I keep thinking it's Monday 🙄
Not much damage was done except bruises on my legs after falling head first over the wheelbarrow. Yesterday I decluttered, by accident, my Denby fruit bowl ( a wedding present to us from a friend) when it jumped off the cupboard. I'd only taken a banana off it and walked away when there was an almighty crash and it had smashed on the floor, with fruit rolling all over the place 😮 I still don't know how or why it fell, it wasn't precariously balanced.
Today I'm going to sort out my fridge, seems the messy elf has had a party in there, and use up anything that's looking a bit lifeless, like me 😂
MrsSD I'll be at the airport to wave you off and crying into my hankie because you've left me behind 😂 Have a lovely time.
Take care all, keep cool calm and carry on.

Lovely to see new declutterers joining us and those who took a break returning to the fray.
Friday I decluttered quite a bit of money as I took my grand-daughter to a Steam Engine Rally. Loads of fun and she really enjoyed it. We came home filthy though between the smuts and the dry as dust field. My trainers will be going through the wash today.
Yesterday I had a full spine MRI, so I had to go to a nearby Fine City which I haven't visited since well before the first lockdown. The MRI took 45 minutes but I found I was able to deeply relax despite all the racket. I hope I don't have too long a wait for the results. It's being done through my insurance company and they've moved at the speed of spilt glue so far.
I decluttered 2 v old bras as I visited the shop for the large of nork and got fitted for new bras. So comfortable to be wearing a bra with elasticity as my old ones were well and truly past it. I've gone down a size too which didn't help the support issue.
I did have some incomings as I treated myself to a poetry book, a piece of moss agate and also 4 postcards of medieval stained glass after spending some time in a lovely old church with an exhibition of the archaeology of the churches in the city. I have a delightful postcard of a 15th century moon, might try to post a photo.
I'll be staying home for the next few days. The Met office is forecasting temperatures of 96 & 97 for Monday and Tuesday whereas the BBC is saying 102 & 107.! I have ordered the Met office weather and hope the right one gets delivered!9 -
Congrats on the new job @accidentalglixch! I hope it is everything you hope for!
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger it’s a bit experimental but I’m channelling my inner medieval herbalist (or maybe witch 🧙🏻, who knows) and drying it outside by hanging it from the garden awning’s frame and taking advantage of this lovely weather.Last time I had an embarrassment of Rosemary it dried really well and quite by accident hanging up in my kitchen for a few days.I also have a huge paper bag that the big river company brought some bits in which will be ideal for collecting the dried leaves.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Just catching up after a weekend in the sun at a storytelling festival in Shropshire. What a wonderful brain break.
Congrats to all the little and large things leaving the house/car/garden.
Fab news @accidentalglixch
Happy travels Mrs SD. I hope its cooler where you are off to.
Looking forward to next week which will be partially spent inside, keeping cool and doing some cleaning and decluttering. Also dealing with RL shenanigans, nothing too serious happily.
Keep well, watered and cool. Hugs to all.

Spent the last 20 minutes catching up....love the inspiration on here.
The Prudential have finally sent a cheque!!!!🎉. Now of course I just have to get it to my bank and wait for it to clear🤦🏼♀️. You are right @Mrs_Salad_Dodger I shall give it a few days and then I shall be writing a very strongly worded letter. Enjoy your holidays.
So yesterday my son came from up North to collect the furniture for his new home. Sadly he couldn't fit as much as I had hoped in the van, But one broken chair gone(he can fix it apparently) two antique chairs(given to me to take to the dump about 10 years ago but knew they had value so they have been in my loft🤦🏼♀️) one foot stall, my old food processor (30. years old but still working fine), lots of bubble wrap(kept in shed) an old blanket , a lamp and an Ice box . There is already a bit more room in the summer house and I can't wait till he takes the table as well.
Stay safe in the next few days everyone, not sure if I will manage to do anything in the heatEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D14 -
