Heya guys!
Quick update, more may come later on but just thought I'd pop by!
Well, one interview was canceled without telling me but the other interview went well...
so well in fact the next day I GOT THE JOB! I'd be starting on the 8th of August so I still have to stick it out for two weeks from 25th July but what is 2 more weeks, aye.
DECLUTTERING
My current job - still counts right?!
97 - 3 rooms worth of net curtains, can't be saved as moldy and reek of a horrible soapy smell.
98 - 2 empty jars of Gherkins
99 - A jar full of take-out sauces
More to come as we're tidying things ready for the Full central heating installation on Monday 18th...
Hope you are all staying safe but enjoying the sun and having a good weekend.
Hugs for those who need them xx🗑️Mission Declutter & Clean 2022🧼 - 105 Items
Onto building a life I love x12 -
Early-ish start in the garden watering and feeding the pots and decluttered half a rosemary bush….it’s been enjoying this weather. The plan is to dry some of it and use some of my empty jar stash to store it.The wisteria has had a ruthless cut back. Due to life getting in the way I missed the opportunity in Feb so I wasn’t going to let the July opportunity escape me. I have no doubt the wisteria will have the hump with me next year when it comes to flowering. However as it’s a) self supporting and b) making it awkward to walk up the garden path it’s just going to have to sulk and get over itself!Had a rummage through the shed and found some bits that can go in the mini skip when that arrives next week to take the ancient plaster.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Second visit by electrician due on Monday morning as a couple of things need rectifying - one comes round and does all the checks, a second then rectifies any faults once he's got the go ahead.
Possibly going out later, must make the effort!

@short_bird I like the eviction from the fridge.
Took a dozen or so sheets and towels to cat rescue place having checked yesterday they would be open. They weren't so stuff came home. But items taken to CS and a few extra things added including the item twice sold which no-one paid for!, also item sold, and packaged up to go, lovely message from someone who bought something the other week, great to see someone love something I thought was really nice but had no use for. Some shredding and filing done. Found graph paper and decided that I will colour in a square when I get rid of something, so can count without having to keep in my head or write down, and as a comfort eater, also record in a square when I do something else so hopefully some good habits will develop.
DB is at my dad's and telling me about books etc he's sorting through, my response ' sound really interesting, and I could bring home' and then 10 minutes later look round and the thought of more stuff brings me down with a bump!
Realise I have 2 shelves clear in my study from decorating so hoping to make space elsewhere.
Went through stash of packaging and about 10 things out. Adding 30 to my total as other bits and pieces

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSaturday is another scorcher 🥵 but with a pleasant cooling breeze 🙂 DH has put together the folding lounger chair & foot rest for DSis - both now in her room - so her empty floor space is now halved 😔 He has disposed of all the plastic packaging & the large cardboard box. DH has also filled all the bird feeders & topped up the water bowls & lastly he has updated my NHS App with my Covid vaccination details 👏 He has now taken DSis to sm to pick up her choice soft drinks for whilst we are away. My day has been bitty - so far I have cooked & bagged apples for the freezer. Chopped & peeled most of the vegetables - some will be used but most will be frozen, rearranged one half of a shelf in a kitchen cupboard - one ood tin (July 2018) binned & reduced the clutter on kitchen work surface. Vacuumed the whole of downstairs - only needed to empty twice 😉 DH & I will be pottering around a bit more including sorting holiday clothes, toiletries, cash & electricals. Plus I need to sort the fridge - again 😱
1117 - 1119 Kitchen recycling, large cardboard box, glass bottle - recycled1120 - 1121 Kitchen detritus, large bag of plastic packaging - binnedDeni_debt-free_dreamer, sorry to hear about DD1 but with your support I know she will be OK.You have been busy - excellent decluttering 👏 you must have oodles of space 😉 Shame about the rug but at least the cats were happy 😃
Excellent work TC77 👏 The ‘bit by bit’ method is definitely working for you 🙂
Well done roundtuit - I love it when someone reminds us of a method & it just clicks 👏 All of a sudden you are back on track and “pleaseder” - loving the new word 😉
Back later as need to peel spuds 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Thank you so much for the Gold Medal, Mrs SD, it is much appreciated .
We had a visit from DD over from the UK with Mother’s Day card and present for me and same forDH. Very MSE of her to save the postage and bring them with her , probably saving near to 20 pounds. The chocolates were so good and decluttering quickly . Her last visit was before the first lockdown.
Now for for the rest of my efforts.
2 uu razors
3 necklaces
1 ring
1 pile postcards
1 pile birthday cards
1 pair gloves
1 pair socks
1 shirt - all the textile stuff to recycling
1 pile bubble wrap
2 bags for life to the CS with the jewel and
9 magazines, the idea coming from Durangirl, I think.
Total was I corrected, 231
231+23=254/365.
Now going for more magazines and as 365 suggests, one thing per day. I also decluttered the box the chocs came in!
My frogs are really just frogs and not the very real frightening medical diagnoses and problems that some of us face. I count my blessings and send hugs to you all. Virtual companionship is a great thing to have.
And keep safe everyone.9 -
Accidentalgixch 🥂 congrats on the new job ! Here's to hoping the next 2 weeks fly by and your new job makes you very happy.
MrsSD when do you depart on your next adventure? Is there room for a little one in your suitcase, pleeeease 🙏 BTW although DH's cancer count has gone up it wasn't by too much, so they're happy with that at the moment as it can fluctuate for quite a while after his treatment. Now his next appointment is in Jan and we can put it to the back of our minds for a bit, phew.
roundtuit you're very welcome. I'm only passing on something that was told to me on here as I too am guilty of beating myself up about not doing much decluttering. I was told, by the lovely MrsSD I believe when I'd had a bad day/week and reported that I'd only managed to get the daily detritus out in the bin/recycling, that it also should be classed as a win. In fact she wagged her finger at me ! 😂 So out is out whatever it may be and no matter how small. Good luck on your decluttering quest, there are lots of declutterers ready to encourage you on here, they're all fabulous people 🧡
mhagster lots of love and hugs to you and your 4 legged friend. Hope he's home and well asap.
Yesterday I finally put all the decorative gravel back down, nearly killed myself in the process when I fell over the wheelbarrow though ! Clumsy Clara at her finest again 😂
Today my Dad was here for the day and DD and DGD arrived but I've done more washing, including my shower curtains, now I must stop looking for more 🤨. I keep thinking I must take advantage of the good drying weather as it could be snowing by the end of next week 🤣 I also decided to put my mid weight duvet into the bath last night for an overnight soak (the lightweight one is now on the bed ) and now I'm off to do the grape treading dance before rinsing and drip drying it over the airer in the bath, then I'll put it over the whirly tomorrow to finish off.
Lots of love and hugs to all fellow declutterers.

Sorry, my Gold Star. It’s gone to my head. Or just the 32 degrees outside.

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedBack again 😉 Made cottage pie from scratch. Portion each for dinner with cabbage. Enough left for dinner tomorrow & probably a portion in the freezer. Also enough meat mix for a 3 portion pie - bagged & put in freezer. Wudupa.
1122 - 1123 Glass & plastic bottles - recycled
1124 Kitchen detritusExcellent decluttering wort 👏 I reckon if we pooled the too hot weather in the south with the overcast, grey cold weather in the north, we would have some lovely late spring/early autumn weather with temperatures in the mid to high 70’s 😉 Comfortable for all 🙂shabbychic12, I have noted your target which is 169 😉
roundtuit, seems to be a real problem with shops not updating their web sites 😔 I remember Muttley - probably the best character in Wacky Races which then led me down the rabbit hole to Banana Splits, Captain Scarlett, Stingray, Thunderbirds & then onto The Champions & Time Tunnel 🤣
vulpix, a real fashion plate - 27 handbags 😉 but at least you were rewarded with finding cash etc 👏 Well done for donating 11% of your handbags 👏 Good luck with the clothes sorting 🍀 I had a rather sweet vision of you, MrV & guests sharing a single large plate 😁
Very pleased to hear little dog is doing so well, mhagster 🙂 especially after the scare he gave you.Excellent decluttering 👏 you are definitely charging along 👏 I hope you will have some assistance to move the bedroom furniture - we don’t want you injuring yourself 😉
Congratulations on the new job accidentalglixch 🥳 I hope it was the one you really wanted 🤞 Excellent decluttering 👏 Sounds like you have a busy Sunday ahead getting ready for the central heating on Monday - good luck 🍀
florianatwobob, glad that you are getting to use some of your stash of jars 🙂 Could you share how you are going to dry your rosemary, please 🙏 From experience, Wisteria is very hardy so although it might sulk a bit it will soon recover 🙂
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 Your electrician sounds very professional 🙂
TC77, sounds like the cat rescue place didn’t update their website 😔 Great decluttering 👏 I do like the graph paper idea - sadly I think I donated mine to a cs a while ago ☹️ Very pleased to hear that you are reconsidering the idea of accepting any books 😉 Keep the clear shelves - you know it makes sense - as Del Boy would say 😂You are very welcome retiredinfrance 🙂 I see your daughter belongs to the MSE Club 👏 Must be so lovely to see your DD after 28 months ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏 Good luck with your frogs 🍀
nannywindow, taxi to Gatwick on Monday & fly out early Tuesday morning. Two weeks & I am hoping I will have a decent internet connection so I can post daily 🤞Sadly no room in suitcase - not even for a little one ☹️ Goodish news about your DH & what a relief that you & DH can relax a little 🙂 A lovely supportive post ☺️ Well done on putting down all the decorative gravel but sorry to hear about the Random Gravity Test 🤕 Hope you are OK 🤞You have made good use of the ‘drying weather’ but remember the gubbernment (stet) might put restrictions on water usage 😉 🙃 Enjoy the grape treading dance 😉Good work short_bird 👏 & well done on another NSD 🙂
retiredinfrance, as long as the gold star ⭐️ isn’t too bright & you don’t get star burn 😉 Not sure what the temperature was but DSis has taken to filling a washing up bowl with cold water & sitting out on the patio, in the shade, with her feet in the bowl 😉 Seems to work for her 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟
