Just another week in till half term here (tell l work in a school) and then it will be full steam ahead on the sort it and get rid task. I seem to have dragged my heels for months and now we’re mid July and lm still pontificating about doing it but not actually doing anything. The mind is willing but motivation lacking. Life gets in the way but am l using that as an excuse? l won’t quite make retirement in September but it’s definitely happening at Christmas all my ducks are lined up and will be looking at a holiday in January so no going back, this makes the decluttering even more important as l want to sell as much as l can as well as having more space. Let’s go girls and boys it can be done as l keep telling myself 😂Count down to retirement 202312

I've had a mini win, as I was tempted to buy loads of seeds half price from wilko.
I've settled on 1 pack I'd been eyeing up and 4 for a present.Congratulations! Not letting new items into the home is the first step to decluttering. The 3 was an arbitrary number, made up as I was typing. It just seemed a number you could do easily, as you got dressed in the morning. Remove from wardrobe, decide whether it still fits and is suitable for wearing, put back in the wardrobe / put in the charity bag / put in the fabric recycling box. As soon as bag or box is full, remove to appropriate place; try not to wait until you have 'a car full'.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5911 -

Thanks, I assumed strangely it was wearing or choosing 3 items a day to wear.
A small number does sound manageable.
I managed to empty the container of compostable stuff into the composter, scrubbed the container and the food waste bin, emptied the kitchen bin and put a new bag in, wrote a card for someone and managed to put some flower seeds from my stash in with the ones I bought together as a present.
Hoping to get to bed at a decent time tonight so I can get up early and cut the grass and strim the edges.Decluttering campaign 2023

I aim to do the kitchen Sunday afternoon/evening.Decluttering campaign 2023

O, granny Kate, I am sorry for your troubles. Sending love. Xxx
Shabbychic12, there seems to be a fair number of people here who have lived in 6 week cycles! The best pleasure of retirement is going on holiday during term time ❤️ You are on the home straight now. X
I am so glad I am not alone in losing things. Today I have misplaced my diary. If it isn’t in the car I am stumped 🤔 it is not only my diary but my notebook with to do list and my tally of how much I have spent on the renovation. Still looking for stuff yesterday resulted in a good tidy up especially the kitchen. No longer are all the many tins of paint under the table but now in the pantry of doom.Out. plant pot holder
today is a drilling kind of day. Bird boxes, bug box, pictures, inside and out.Vx:11 -
Forgot to say. Back door has had 3 coats of paint. Another one should do it. I don’t love the colour but I think it’s because it is so different to the white. It will grow on me.Vx:8

Grannykate hugs coming your way from me too 🧡
Nothing out today except the decluttering of the washing basket, the bedding and all the dust in the bedroom ! I'm trying to keep myself busy while we wait for DH's oncology review telephone call 😟 Not looking forward to that !

Embarrassing update. Diary found in my knitting bag. Secateurs found in my toolbox. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️I should take my old employers advice “don’t put it down, put it away.”
Just a trowel, coat and several pairs of glasses and sunglasses to find in unexpected places.Drilling update, not as much done as expected but breaking for lunch now and going for afternoon tea later. Tomorrow’s another day.Vx:10
