Hello everyone. I’ve been and still am dealing with RL atm, problems for us and one for a friend, who doesn’t speak French. However nothing like what some of you , my decluttering pals , are dealing with. Granny Kate, so sorry for your troubles, and big hugs for you and all of us who are going through difficulties. It’s all very well thinking that there’s always light at the end of a tunnel, but it can be a long long tunnel. Plod on is all we can do. I get very anxious, so I keep saying to myself that it ( the worst outcome) hasn’t happened and take each day one at a time.
Still declutteeing and enjoying reading all the posts and tales of holidays. Thanks, Mrs SD, I loved your photos and reports.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedFriday continued hot, hot, hot 🥵 but still with the very pleasant cooling breeze. DSis went shopping. DH managed 5 landmarks, had fish’n’chips in Hastings & then spent a couple of hours at his niece’s house with a very loud 4 year old great great nephew providing background noise to the adult conversation. DH did a small shop in L*dl for the items he forgot off yesterdays list 😉 He brought back several sets of beads to try & fill in the gaps on my dress. Hopefully there will be a match 🤞 Got home about 8:30 p.m. Salad for dinner & DSis provided the dessert - a trifle 🤤 Wudupa.1112 - 1115 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, glass bottle - recycled
1116 Kitchen detritus binnedshabbychic12, planning your retirement properly takes a lot of energy especially as you are also working full time 😉 We will try to encourage you to start your decluttering now - one item a day until school is out, then a concerted effort to declutter & sell, sell, sell so that you can take a well deserved break in January 🙂Siebrie, another good decluttering idea 👏 & I did smile at 3 being an arbitrary number 😉Yippee to the guy fitting the blinds turning up early EnergyShifter 🥳 Just the motivation needed to do the touching up 🙂Good work oceanspirit 👏
Great work Pennypincin 👏 Good luck with the kitchen tidying 🍀
vulpix, sending in the Retrieval Team to locate the misplaced diary 😉 but at least the hunt for the elusive diary had a good result - a tidy kitchen 👏 Fingers crossed that the diary surfaces quickly 🤞Great work with painting the door - duck egg is such a beautiful colour 🙂
All good wishes coming your way that the oncology review for DH will be a hopeful/positive one, nannywindow
No need for embarrassment vulpix 😉 You have found your expensive secateurs & your very important diary 👏 in quite sensible places really 🙂 The gremlins will hopefully return the other items soon 🤞
teachergirl, I cannot believe they are still failing 😡 I think you need to ask friends & family to re-tweet & get them to ask others to re-tweet. Once it is sorted & you have been paid you can then have the ‘enjoyable’ task of collating all the details & putting in a super complaint 😉 Excellent gardening work - really looking forward to seeing a photo of the completely tidy arbour 🙂 Good luck with sale of the compost bin 🍀
EnergyShifter any chance of a photo of the lovely new blinds 😉 Sending get well wishes for your friend. Good work on the decluttering 👏
Sorry to hear about your dear dog mhagster ☹️ Hope the surgery goes well & he recovers quickly. Sending you a big hug. Excellent decluttering & good news from the solicitor 👏 I hope ‘rude girl’ noticed 😉 🙂Ouch 2Scratters 😣 You obviously had a lot on your mind ☹️ Are you sure you weren’t filling up in an American petrol station - diesel pump is green & petrol pump is black - the exact reverse of the U.K. 😔 However well done on releasing your T-shirts 👏Excellent decluttering daisy_1571 👏 Especially impressed with the number of frogs you have dealt with 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way (314/1000)
purplepumpkin_2, I agree with you that it is a great mantra & I have added it to my mantras as no.5 😉 One in, one out is still good decluttering & you also recycled 👏
retiredinfrance, sorry to hear that RL is causing both you & your friend problems (I am assuming officialdom as my DSis had problems every year 😡 ) Keeping everything crossed that the problem is sorted quickly & efficiently with the least amount of stress possible 🤞 Quite agree that that the concept of ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ is sometimes very difficult to hold onto especially if the tunnel keeps getting longer 😔 but as you say all we can do is keep plodding along. Pleased that you enjoyed my holiday photos & reports ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏 & reaching 248/365 has earned you a Gold Star ⭐️
Stay safe everyone 🙏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Morning everyone
Hope everyone is doing ok, this thread moves so quickly and i can't always keep up! Hugs to those struggling with RL problems and worries. My DD1 is still struggling with her MH. DD2 had a wobble with her boyfr but seems ok now.
I've had decluttering success this week !!! I took my 5p savings pot to the CS as it was full, I dropped off some soft plastics in the SM, put in the bin an old outdoor wooden ornamanet that was looking very shabby and faded, plus some old split plastic plant pots plus the old cat scratching post that we replaced.
I have also .................been to the tip with a car boot full of rubbish! This included a lovely rug that my cats had used as an indoor toilet - no idea why, they rarely have accidents and they go outside for their bodily functions but for whatever reason known only to their little cat brains, they had decided the rug was their indoor loo - it smelled disgustingI put it in the garage about 4 months ago and it still smelled as strong as ever. So that has been binned after being wrapped in an old ripped curtain; also tipped an old bin, loads of plastic storage tubs that were broken, a broken yard brush, old blinds; also put in the recycling some old wood from the broken fence, the rail from the old blinds and some half used tins of paint.
Love to all
Deni xx

Morning, woken early by cats, and decided to do abit of like with like, and go through some drawers - realise clothes wise still keeping things in case I shrink! and as ever give it a rolling never ending 3 months! coins and jewellery to repair in about 5 places - (must take jewellery somewhere at sometime), 2 phones cases recycled, ehic card, jewellery box, sorted coins, a few things like with like, found huge stash of stationery moved when I painted study and not missed. Huge amount of graph paper which I should pass on as not something any of us use! using my stash of rubber bands to keep things together... very slow and picking little things in hope may lead to greater ones.
Hope everyone is coping in this heat - not sure how the next few days will go, hoping hospital appt will be cancelled tues as town in middle of day not inviting.10 -
Good morning xx
I would like to thank nannywindow ❤. I was beating myself up (mentally) on Thursday evening because I'd come home from the paid stuff and flumped; just before going to bed I read nannywindow's post saying ....even one item out is a win. (Probably not quote / unquote but that's how I remember it). So I took a box of ood meds out of the meds drawer and put them on the draining board ready to go to the pharmacy for disposal. I know that they didn't exactly leave the house but they were a step nearer the back door, and it felt like I'd at least done SOMETHING. And last night....another box of ood meds removed from the drawer. 😊
This morning I am up and dressed because, get this, I want to go into town at 9 (I don't do busy or crowds) to take a box of books and a bag of books to cs (which will mean 2 walks from car to cs...but someone else on the thread made numerous consecutive cs walks and survived, so I'm going to chance it), then drop off a bag of ood meds for disposal at the pharmacy .... a couple more boxes having now joined the original box. I don't know when I last sorted out the meds drawer....it was on my to do list. (Probably has been since 2017, maybe earlier. Ooops) But I found a full box of in date indigestion tablets so that made me happy. (I'm easily pleased 🤣) And I've started which makes me pleaseder.
Thank you 😘

Well done roundtuit 👏🏻I hope everyone is well. Hugs to those dealing with “the brown stuff” !I have found some things to go in the garage. My bil has taken them to the tip 👏🏻 2 x standard lamps, cat tree , tins of paint, power washer that the nozzle snapped off. And won’t be replaced. I always worry how much water it uses so only used a couple of times. And they take forever, so if needed desperately will borrow my dds .
wish we had some warm weather, here in the nw , I was wrapped in a blanket last night. The so called heat wave must be hitting wales then heading back down south🤪
overcast grey sky again today just put a wash on . So hoping at least that it’s dry.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.9 -
MSD one item a day sounds doable so l will commit to this from now till January but will try to do more🤞.Count down to retirement 20238

The stoopid pharmacy was closed! I got back in the car, checked on my phone: pharmacy opens at 7am. And there I am at 9.15 am and it's closed. Some Muttley muttering ensued.
Anyway the books have been deposited at the cs. And I'll take the meds for disposal when I next pick up my repeat prescription. With any further ood stuff I find in the meantime.
And I dropped in at Pops' for a coffee on my way home.

I hope your dog is doing ok Mhagster. X
so on a quick search for the right hand bag to go with my outfit yesterday I counted them. 27 ! On looking through them I found £28 ,a Tesco voucher and 2 loyalty cards that I have been looking for. I will take 3 of them to the chazzer today. I do love clothes, shoes, bags and jewellery.
Although I am on a no/ minimal spend this year on clothes I do seem to struggle to put them away. Perhaps when it’s too hot to go out next week I could have them all out and see if anything could go.We did buy some plain white plates yesterday. I got rid of ours from the last house as they were too big to fit in the cupboard. After my recent smashing spree we have been sharing one big plate. 6 new plates bought so visitors don’t have to share too. 😂
Love to all Vx:10 -
vulpix we were allowed to visit him for an hour this morning ( I’d thought we’d be 10 minutes max ) but we sat/lay on the floor with him. He’d his head on DD2 knee and just kept looking up to check she was still there. A bit zonked with drugs but they were pleased how happy he was with us so I think were quite happy to leave us all quietly till it was time for his meds.
last night I decluttered some dog hair and dog nose marks 😆 but I know what I’d much rather have!So my little car and I are just in and I’m sitting down for at least 10 minutes then I’m going out in the garden.
Out went 3 bags of rubbish, a pile of very old baking tins that were black with age and I certainly don’t want nor need, they went into metal pile , plastic, wood ( random big wooden box in cupboard under stairs my dad must have made, dads been gone nearly 30 years) and a pasting table. Pressure cooker ( and I acknowledged all the Sunday dinners it cooked) and some more blooming small electricals! And two bags for food waste. There were only 2 bags left so I’ll get more and empty freezer a bit at a time. Melted a tub of ice cream ( b/b 2019)
so a full carload
also have put up 4 ads on local FB page for stuff for free.Editing to say 3 out of 4 picked up /dropped off so I’m pleased with that. And dare I say I do believe I’m getting there? However bedroom furniture to be taken outside for council collection ( haven’t organised yet as needed floor space to do so but now have floor space)
And a loft
And a garage ( that will be a skip)
And a shed
And a jungle! But I’m getting there said this little red hen!9
