Husband has left for 2 months to visit his relatives in his mothercountry. He will work remotely from there for most of the time. Right after he left, I packed up all his clothes, shoes, items-only-he-uses and put them in the garage. Due to the renovation we are living downstairs at the moment, and we need it to be as uncluttered as possible. We have managed to keep the dust out of the rooms we use, and I have covered the coat and shoe rack with a large sheet, but it's just easier if there isn't as much stuff to wade through to get to the items we need. Husband has more shoes and coats than my dds and I have together!

The Gentleman Carpenter has been (once again). The panel is primed, and fits! The fittings have been sorted….but he’s run off with it again to give it its final coats of paint!
Keep your fingers crossed for me as we may have a bath panel in situ by the end of the week!
Called round for quotes for mini skips this morning. Should have the quote today re the plastering. We’re hoping to keep the skirting and doorframes which will keep the costs down.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Back is feeling better today so I was able to get back to decluttering. Took one bag to cs. Decided to sort out one kitchen cupboard which spread to two. Binned 3 well out of date cans, a bag of pudding rice which went out of date in 2015 and then set about the jars of spices and herbs. Decluttered about 20, emptying their dusty contents into the bin and, later taking the empty jars to the bottle bank.
This freed up a lot of space so my cupboards are much more user friendly.
Inspired I spent some time sorting out the conservatory. Took apart one of the tables which I'd used for my seed trays in the spring. This gave me room to rearrange the 3 bicycles and create room to move in there. I've actually got space to reach the windows for cleaning purposes. Not tonight though.
I've got some more stuff ready for the cs tomorrow, I'll be passing it anyway so I might as well drop this lot off too.9 -
A quick one as way past my bedtime. Major frog eaten and have submitted my application with minutes to spare. Thankfully I had a couple amazing colleagues helping me today.
Real life will resume tomorrow.

Hi all, sorry I have been mia for a few days. They say things come in 3s and so it has with injuries. First the right shoulder, then on Saturday I scalded my left thumb, currently sporting a blister about the size of a 2p piece, and on Sunday I woke up with a pulled muscle in my back. I don't usually have more than temporary twinges in my back but this has been a doozy necessitating both pain killers and ibuprofen gel. I have decluttered a tube of the stuff and only now is it easing. I was actually lucky we had it in the house, did belong to OH but not now allowed to use it with current meds and it nearly got binned a few weeks ago when I was sorting the meds cupboard. Anyhow it has had me firmly stuck on the couch not really able to move around much so I have been decluttering the recorded telly stuff and knitting.
I have wrapped the birthday presents and written the cards and OH took them to the post office today. Large amounts of wrapping and 3 cardboard boxes gone out of the house. As we have family in Germany, Australia and the Caribbean as well as siblings in other parts of the country we generally keep a few boxes for justin
OH has removed another pebble from the ironing mountain as I just couldn't do it but still loads left. I am hoping to be restored tomorrow as it is easing now.
@Mrs SD the chandelier has been removed
Amazing work going on everywhere
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedMonday was a mainly sunny, bright day but breezy. DH did a Tip trip - already counted & collected the new tool from Scr*wf*x. Then he took DSis to Ik*a to check measurements & view a bedside cabinet. Came back & DH ordered as Click & Collect. I did 2 full loads of clothes washing which dried fully on whirligig 🙂 Also managed to get through to surgery to confirm my personal details & that I do NOT have a mobile phone 😉 Dinner was chicken pieces fried in oil, Jersey Royals, sweetcorn & peas - plain food but delicious 😋 Wudupa.
1027 - 1029 Kitchen recycling, 2 plastic bottles - recycled
1030 Kitchen detritus binnedDeni_debt-free_dreamer, with DD2 giving you items to store, I would class that as ‘reverse decluttering’ 😉Nice to see you Gers 👋 Excellent decluttering 👏 especially the 6 year old milk 😉 You must be getting excited about your trip to Australia - not long to wait now ☺️vulpix, presumably all those items made their way to CS 🤞 Now that the front garden is almost completed, I hope we get to see a photo 🙏 How lovely - a visit with the promise of shed painting ☺️ We will have to compare the length of our ‘To Do’ lists 😉😉
Excellent decluttering DuranGirl 👏 No need to apologise - saved watering the garden 😉Siebrie, you will get so much decluttering done while your husband is away 😉 Sending best wishes & healing vibes for your mother in law. I did grin like a loon reading that DH has more shoes & coats than the other 3 members of the household combined 😁😂 Pleased to hear that the renovations are going well 👏The Gentleman Carpenter sounds very grand florianatwobob 🙂 He is definitely a tease though 😉but how lovely that the new bath panel is almost ready to be fitted 👏 I hope we get a photo 🙏
Wildrose, very pleased to hear that your back is on the mend 🙂 but please take care & don’t do too much work 🙏 Excellent decluttering of kitchen cupboard contents 👏 You are currently in the lead with 7 year old ood food item binned 😉Good luck with the job application Fizz2015 🍀 Wishing you every success 🙂
Nice to see you Liverpool_Anne 👋 You have been in the wars 🤕 Glad that the chandelier is gone now - an injured shoulder & a bad back should be enough 😉🤣😉 Excellent decluttering of TV programmes & gifts/packaging 👏 Please take care of your back - I think another restful day is in order 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

I met up with a friend for coffee yesterday and she had a rug off me that was no longer required following LR decoration. So that's one less thing in the shed!
DH has bought some stuff that's needed to lay laminate flooring and so I'm hoping that project will be started soon - it's for new flooring in DR/study. I can't wait to see the back of the old carpet.
I dropped an earring recently in the bedroom and managed to find it today - it had fallen underneath a set of drawers. The search was necessary as I will be vacuuming upstairs today.
I've finally started to watch decluttering videos and so hope they will motivate me to do some tidying/decluttering8 -
afternoon all
hugs where needed or wanted. @GrannyKate - i spend money when stressed, new things are a temporary distraction from RL worries & stresses
DD2 has returned some of her books to me and some winter clothes. I have a wooden blanket box in the garage that i thought i would put in her room to store bulky clothes items. I think DD1 could help me with that task so maybe this weekend.
Today i've declutted a few emails and binned a pair of old slippers.
I've had new blinds fitted so i now have the old ones for the tip. My parents are visiting next week so i may have to fit in a tip trip before they arrive for their annual inspection!

3033: 50 emails deleted
3034-3035: bags of rubbish and paper recycling out
3036-3041: cans and yoghurt pots to recycling
3042- 3058: assorted packaging, rubbish, recycling herded.
Still no sign of the electrician: hopefully he will get here soon.
Oh! 3059-3060: 2 more boxes to recycling as supermarket delivery just arrived and I've taken the ice creams out of the boxes to save space.
Won't be around much next week as lots of work, this week is the time to get stuff done.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
