Today in my small windows of doing things, I finished the last drawer in DD’s room so all clothes are back in order for now. Got to get DH to take the charity bags next week now.
I also decluttered some stuff from the kitchen drawers whilst dinner was cooking and I tackled the pile of stuff thats been on DD’s floor forever.
2539-50 kids clothes
2551 sandwich tin
2552 plastic bag
2553 plastic storage box
2554-56 glass storage jars
2557-59 drinking bottles
2560-71 cushions/cushion covers
DH has agreed I can ask him about something everyday, so maybe I can be more ruthless about the garage/attic/some of the cupboards 🤔. I did convince him to get rid of 2 drinking bottles we were given free and never ever use today, so there is hope for more! Now I’ve tackled DD’s room, it is just two big cupboards, a couple of kitchen drawers, garage and attic that I feel are still a bit too full - I’m sure we can find something to get rid of there if I try hard!2025 decluttering: 3,766🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

@TC77 not to worry about your constructive comments - they are decluttered now and you are more focussed. Well done for keeping going.
The only thing today I have decluttered is time doing not a lot - but it is a pause in the calm before the storm of things that need doing. Not trying to put too much pressure on me, just need to write the list and work my way through it as and when. I was out in the sunshine just chilling and decided to treat my feet and legs to a declutter of glistening hair of the legs and reduced the area of nail on my feet that may need some polish on themas we are not over looked who cares
I chatted to a lady as I walked to the village table top sale and found 2 items oops! a not my usual type of top and a fab silk scarf - have a bit of a penchant for them and they don't take up much space. Chatted to 2 lady stall holders. It's good to talk
There will be a t shirt to be reduced for rags and will need to discard something else too.
Have a good weekend all

On the declutter journey since 2023 with Mrs SD. Tilly Tidy since 2023.6 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedNever did get around to doing anything apart from clearing down programmes from TV planner 😉 including the final of Sewing Bee - a well deserved win 🙂 I always love the end bit of the programme when we are told what happened to the contestants. Must have been something in the water in Leeds - 2 babies 😉 I cooked chicken & mushroom risotto for dinner 🤤 with plenty left for risotto cakes tomorrow & hopefully enough left over to put a few in the freezer 🤞 Wudupa.
1017 - 1019 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, cardboard packaging - recycled
1020 - 1021 Kitchen detritus, garage detritus - binned
1022 - 1024 Bag of useless wood off cuts, box of metal detritus, damaged exhaust pipe - Tip trip
Swinging from the chandelier will aggravate an old shoulder injury, Liverpool_Anne 🙃 Joking aside, hope the tension bands help 🤞As is the way of things - if you had given the watering a miss, it wouldn’t have rained 😂 Enjoy the union meeting 🙂weenancy, I see you are still helping your roommates 😉 Shame that drunk roommate isn’t as organised as you - presumably if his Social Security isn’t sorted out you don’t get your rent 😔 The bucket of water obviously worked with female roommate 😉😂 I did manage not to fall off the sofa when I read that she found a couple of the library books on her own 😅 Are they letting her off the fines? Pleased to hear that you have managed to get the husky to start eating again even if you are having to remind/show her how to eat 😉 Sorry to hear that your cats are both unwell. At least brother cat is only bringing small towels rather than undies 😂 Hopefully the coming week will be a bit quieter & less stressful 🤞
Thank you for sharing your decluttering experiences QueenJess 👏 Gives us all hope that if we knuckle down we too can get to the happy state of maintenance decluttering 🙂What a great decluttering strategy DuranGirl 👏 long may it continue 🙂Thanks for the clarification Floss - somehow it makes it worse when the actions of a family member cause major problems ☹️ You seem to be working for a good company who think very highly of you.
Absolutely makes sense to me TC77 🙂 Looked at another way - Q: when is a book not a book? A: when it is not in a bookcase 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 & now you are over halfway to your target meaning one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way. Hopefully DD2 will do the tasks she promised to do even if later than promised 🤞 By the way, you are not posting negative comments - you are sharing how you feel but are still keeping going 👏Excellent work florianatwobob 👏 Hope the plasterer’s quote is not too expensive 🤞As to putting the skip outside your house, perhaps your neighbours should park in front of their own houses 😉Excellent work Rootle 👏Welcome back craftingmad 👋 Nice to see you aboard the EDT (Electric powered Decluttering Train - trying to be
eco-friendly 😉) What an excellent start to your very ambitious target 👏
vulpix, sometimes it is very hard to clear the mind when clutter is all around even if you know it is only a temporary state of affairs 😔 Sorry to hear that a decent night’s sleep is eluding you ☹️ Sounds like you might be unconsciously worrying about something 😔 Perhaps have a pen & paper by your bed as it might help to write down any thoughts that are whirling through your mind. Well done on decluttering several large items 👏
mhagster, Good idea to have a day off from sorting your mum’s house 🙂 I thought you might have a rest but instead you worked really hard in your home 👏 2hrs 40 minutes seems long for a modern film 😉 & of course you can’t just pause it if you need a bathroom break 😂
That is what you call having ‘Some energy’ nannywindow 🤩 I was absolutely exhausted reading about all the cleaning & decluttering - great work 👏 Hopefully the commemorative glass goblets will be worth a bit 🤞Not sure I would dare to have a go on a wii fit - it would probably tell me I should be getting a telegram from the Queen 🤣 With the number of fireworks going off here - your jigsaw sounds seasonal to me 😉 Still waiting to hear if the online form filling has been successful 🤞
Excellent work QueenJess 👏 and getting DH on board is a big win 👏
2Scratters, an excellent way to describe TC77’s post ‘constructive comments’ which once decluttered leave one free to continue with renewed enthusiasm 🙂 Sounds like you have had a restful day - some TLC, some lovely conversations & a beautiful silk scarf 👏 Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Mrs SD thanks for my medal and support. @Floss - empathetic vibes coming your way as we both have major family issues. Still trying to distract myself with little success although I did sleep last night. We did get torrential rain yesterday which will help the lawns.

Hi all
Sorry for being AWOL, RL has been busy and stressful - DD1 really struggling with her MH. Not caught up on anyone's news either, hugs to those in need (( ))
Yesterday i cleaned out the fridge which involved decluttering a few bits of OOD food, only some yucky veg so not too wasteful but i hate wasting food, need to meal plan a bit better.
Have shredded a bit more paperwork and been putting my shredded paper in a box in the recycling.
Also did a bit of gardening so decluttered a few weeds.
Have carried on decluttering emails but still at 19k - unsubscribed from a couple more.
Have been working loads including doing extra jobs and extra work for my self employment role so have decluttered a chunk off my mortgage
Love to all

57-58 - broken dog toys
59 - dog treats which dog does not like (given to neighbour as hers loves them)
60-61 - son's pants (4 years too small!)
62 - christmas gift bag (torn and ripped - god knows why I had kept it so long!!!)
63 - old wooden case filled with beads - they had all tipped out and were all over the place so just threw them away and very proud of myself

A few few things gone from shed today plus a few more from kitchen boxes. There are still many things to sort out from bedroom and kitchen which have been out in the garden for a number of weeks now (nowhere else to store them) so no doubt the weather will decide the fate of a number of them.

Heya everyone!
Sorry, I've not spoken here much.
Life just got on top of me & feeling very depressed because I am not having any luck still with finding a new job.
I've dropped down again on my medication so finding it really difficult to work-even though I am at home, Care for the house, Care for Remi and try to job hunt when I get time.
Hopefully, we will declutter a lot more in the next few weeks & months as we're getting Central Heating put in and we'd need to clear out the spare room (where our stuff from moving out is)

A few more bits and pieces found today. I try and question if I want everything whenever I open a drawer or cupboard and it has become a habit. Much easier to keep decluttering this way when you have bits and pieces only to get rid of. In some ways it is harder than the days you could pull everything out of a drawer, sort through it, get rid of half of it and put the rest back. Transitioning to maintenance has been quite hard and it’s taken me a while to realise my life changes all the time with kids and so what I needed/used last week won’t necessarily be the same a few weeks later.
I also pulled together a charity bag to be picked up tomorrow (I have a few piles of things that need to go and are cluttering up one of the rooms) and I’ve listed more stuff on buy nothing, so I am hoping that will leave before next weekend.
Decluttering for today:
2572 kitchen mould I don’t use
2573 medicine spoon (I don’t need 2)
2574 belt I haven’t used for years
2575 produce bag gone mouldy2025 decluttering: 3,766🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
