Hi All
Sent DH up into the loft yesterday to put away one of the LR pictures that didn't look right with new decor and he retrieved another picture that we hadn't used for years but which looks perfect in the LR. I also swapped a painting from the DR with one in the LR to freshen things up. There's another couple of items that I want from the loft but he couldn't see them after a very quick look and so they will hopefully emerge when we start sorting out a few boxes from up there. He also put away a new suitcase that we had bought recently. The old battered one has been put in the shed for now awaiting a visit to the tip.
In the last week I've had 3 online sales and so I'm pleased to have got rid of some items plus boxes and packaging.
I've finished reading a book which I'm returning to a friend today.
I haven't got around to watching decluttering videos yet but will do soon - I'm looking forward to it!6 -
Morning All, a quick one as I am in a very quiet office today. But had to escape my messy house as I feel overwhelmed by it all.
We ordered a new sofa yesterday but it means that everything will need to be tidied culled and sorted to make room. I do like a good clear out (but find it stressful doing it) but so much better afterwards. I just want one room that looks grown up, tidy streamlined and visitor ready. Just need to find a retro coffee table, industrial style lamp and a mirror to complete the look. Ideally I need a week off work to get on top of it all, but that it not going to happen as we are so short staffed (combination of sickness and vacancies).
Yesterday I spent helping a friend who is struggling, had a lovely walk and lunch out but I felt so drained after, i could do with some time in the TLC carriage but can't squeeze it in. I did declutter a bag of paint tester pots to said friend.
Off to declutter my work notebooks and some emails, I'm in that sort of mood today.

Been out but got so wet in sudden deluge I have had to change all my clothes. Stress is good for something as I have lost several pounds in weight.2025 Decluttering Campaign 682/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Siebrie. Wise decision to have the job finished by the builders. No enjoyment in a half finished job.My front garden has all of a sudden come together. Once the garden part is finished they will move on to directly in front of the house. Presently there is a cobblestone drain against the old mill wall some ancient tarmac and then old concrete flags under the window. Replace the concrete flags and skim and re tarmac and I think it will be done. A small matter of about 100 plants in large pots for me to deal with before then. Some will be planted in the new garden the rest I may sell. 2 garden tables, 6 garden chairs and a bookcase earmarked to go. I will then be open to outside visitors. I am so lucky to have been able to have the garden of my own design. The transformation from depressing yard and overgrown wet garden gives me such pleasure and literally gives us another room to live in.Gotta go, am late with the lads tea.Vx:6

Finally had a notification the land of bay about reduced charges for selling. We have plenty that needs to get on there. Offer is for the next 4 days - needs must. DH not having yet another good day. He can help me get some stuff uploaded, he won't be happy as he won't be doing it in his den
Need to get a few more items into the van ready for the weekend. Might have to send DH into loft to sort some of his stuff out for going out, he could be more helpful doing that now I think about it.
Went to the CS the other day looking for something specific - the balls of wool I purchased were not on that list! oops.
Decluttered a frog into a budget plan - was a bit scary adding up the numbers. I am on the winning side I am so pleased about that.
There are some many major successes with clearing out relatives homes, well done to you all.
My parents have made the decision to move out of their home of 60+ years into a village type site. Dad wants to go now. He is also in the process of getting rid of items and returning items back to us all and asking who wants what. This is where I will need to be careful.

And for today! Sigh!Round about 7.30am. Opened a wardrobe door and sighed. Full of stuff! Photos & stuff, photography stuff, DVD, videos, reams of paper. 2 sewing machines. Managed to sort through about 2/3 of it.Charity collection …won’t take large dining room unit. ‘Don’t sell’ That’s just grrrrrreat news ! Everything else was gone. I sat on the loo having a wee and just sobbed proper big sobs! I knew it would affect me. Phoned my sister ( though why I thought I’d have an empathetic response I don’t know! ) ‘you’ll have lots more space’ …for what? It’s the space that’s upsetting me! Sigh! Then in to town and charity shop drop off. A lady kindly gave me the last half hour on her parking ticket. Round to bank to pay in a cheque then round to solicitors…grrr they were shut! It’s a local holiday on Monday and they’ve taken Friday off too. Sigh! Then up to the tip on the off chance as I was passing , I’d made an appointment for an hour later…said I’m a wee bit early. Grumpy chap said ‘you’re an hour early we are busy.’ ( me too, grumpy chap, me too) anyway he let me through and there were three other cars so hardly mobbed. And the nice chap I’ve said hello to and thank you to everyday opened my passenger door grabbed a bag, shouted the young lad over to get the rest! So that was nice and I shouted thank you to grumpy guy as I drove out! Then I had to pick up something for work and deliver that. Met one of my favourite customers and she said have you time to join me so sat with her for 15 minutes. Then home and hello doggy. And come on, let’s go and fill a garden bin. So back round to mums to fill the garden bin and get some sunshine on my arms and fresh air in my lungs, dog back and forth chasing his ball ( our old doggy’s ball that he found in his granny’s garden!) and chewing sticks. So he was quite happy. And I’d a nice chat over the back fence to NDN.However on the way out I opened the cupboard under the stairs…now it no longer has a sofa over it! Holy moly! Shut it quickly! A job for another day! Sigh 😆11
