Feel quite tired today, I woke up like it even after a reasonable sleep and strangely I seem to have lost the feeling from the top of one of my index fingers too, which is weird. It's a good job I can use other fingers to type 🖐 😁. I haven't done much decluttering today except the grey streak from my hair, which had got to the size of an aeroplane landing strip ✈ and begrudgingly nearly £400 has left the bank for our road tax 😭.
mhagster 😠 to Auntie and your re-filled airing cupboard.
Energyshifter hope you're feeling much better. Have a good week home alone.
Grannykate hope the next few weeks are not as unpleasant as you expect. Hugs
Teachergirl 🤞 for the £150
MrsSD hardly anyone is wearing masks around here but on the plus side perhaps people seem to be more chatty now, even strangers.
Hugs to anyone in need

Wildrose said:@Floss have you done visible mending before? I'm wondering if the any of the needles I have will be up to the job or if I should buy a special needle. I remember patching denim decades ago and what hard work it was getting the needle through 2 layers of denim. I've got arthriticy paws now too.
Pink cord sounds perfect for a patch.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Things really have slowed here over the last month although looking around there is no excuse. Moved things from room to room for decorating but nothing out. He will be back hopefully in the next week or two and do the woodwork, and then I can hang curtains.
DD was rung with a cancellation for appt I've been chasing for months, so that's decluttered although diagnosed with audio processing disorder, she's relieved as audiologist had just told her she didn't have a hearing problem just a listening one , and she is very hard working. Only got appt as I'd read about it and asked the GP specifically, so unfair that many people miss out. Gripe out the way.
Non working oyster card out
3 frogs , emails and calls I'd put off, although part of a family of frogs as multi -stage things
just realised I started this 2 hours ago when I've then been looking for things, some found and some not! Need to up my game.
Found my bank card and register my bonus card from broadband provider, and started frog for dad's house.
Half way through the 2 hours nearly lost the plot with overwhelm and need to develop a method. I know that if I have any chance off DD tackling things I need to be able to find things and reduce ..... off to pilates and hopefully come back calmer.
Hugs to anyone in need and esp those suffering/struggling x

I’m still firmly relaxing in the TLC carriage, but the one thing I can do is clear down my inbox. It’s the only task I’m giving myself at the moment and I only do as much as I want each day. I’m below 200 emails now, so hoping to get below 100 in the not too distant future!2025 decluttering: 3,750🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Rest of day update.
Took stuff to tip.In the airing cupboard I found a big fleecy throw that was usually on mums bed. It’s smelled nicely of her. Was like getting a wee bonus hug…the irony though that she was not a huggy person at all. So I’ve brought that home with me.Another bunch of hydrangeas came home.I’ve three charity boxes on the go, filling as I go.Dropped off another 15 books for supermarket shelf.Have a laminator and laminating sheets in my car to pass on to a friend.Onwards…11 -
@Floss thank you for the description of APD. I think I may have it as struggle when several conversations going on with a group of friends. I know it's a spectrum , DD2 has dyslexia as well but only picked up aged nearly 15 so has coping strategies.
@mhagster what a lovely bonus - fleecy hug and so good to have the flowers as well as how much you're doing.
Scanned and emailed documents for DD1.

What with the combination of 2 packages out, bags to the bin, 50 emails deleted, stuff to bins and recycling, total out is now 3011. The electrician arrives at 2pm tomorrow so I have a few more things to move. He turned up at my door hoping to do the work today but got a firm no in response as it wasn't convenient because he hadn't bothered to contact me to set a date or time. Wanting access tomorrow's pushing it...‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Hi all, today has been quite a good day. I tried unsuccessfully to line dry the swim kits, thunder and lightening kept arriving and leaving.
I did manage a large bag of garden clippings into the green waste bin but I properly killed my secateurs, the pin that holds the ratchet bit broke.so I have had to use the loppers which is awkward in some places. I have ordered a new pair but they haven't arrived yet
A small pebble has been removed from the ironing mountain and put away.
I did manage to speak to the man about the pointing today and he asked me to call him on Monday as he is in the middle of a big job so I have set a reminder on my phone, sometimes I lose track of the daysI also spoke to my sister and have arranged to visit her in a couple of weeks for a few days and then travel on to visit my niece who is house sitting while in the UK for a few weeks. Now the dates have been confirmed I need to find somewhere to stay while visiting my niece, job for tomorrow so it can be done in consultation with OH. I also spoke to a friend about a potential meet up in November somewhere in the Cotswolds. OH is not keen as these friends are hoping to go walking and atm OH does not really walk anywhere, though I am hopeful that some treatment for the thyroid problem may be on the horizon after OH had a conversation with the GP, basically asking to either see a consultant or have some meds prescribed. Anothet blood test has been booked but it is progress.
OH arrived home tonight with 5 packs of rhubarb so I expect to be sorting that tomorrow
@mhagster I must confess I am struggling to understand aunty putting stuff in the airing cupboard when you are emptying the place, not at all helpful as if she comes to help again you will have to double check everything in case she has put anything else away, but lovely to find a hug
Take care everyone8 -
Morning all - very stressed here as things got a very great deal worse yesterday with RL scenario. Will retire to TLC carriage with urn of tea and a whole cake for the time being.
