The donation bag today has 2 pairs of sandals, 3 skirts, a dress, a blouse and a cardigan. I booked the bulky waste collection too.
I have had that donation bag in my living room for weeks and when I moved the bag to put by the front door to go out I disturbed a massive spider. I don't think I have ever seen one that big. I screamed. My husband decluttered the spider over the back fence.9 -

Lots of packaging to go as I store some stuff in the freezer out of the boxes to save space.
Gas engineer arrives tomorrow, hurray
Had my pneumonia vaccination yesterday and, like every other vaccination, found I was dog tired but not much else. Which is nice.
Now to clear the work surface under the boiler... Oh, and sort out a couple of parcels to go.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Hi all, yesterday was wet in the morning but dry in the afternoon. I didn't go into town as the weather was so miserable but cleaned the hall instead, wiped down all the paintwork and tackled a few marks on the walls and grim around the light switches. Cleared the top of the meter cupboard, post given to OH and other carp into the bin. Filled the green waste bin with the stuff from the waiting bag and put it out for collection. As the weather had improved put a load of washing on the line. Dry this morning so taken in and folded on to OHs pile. Went into town and got all the presents I needed and some cards so decluttered some money. Just home now and realised OH has used all the milk so I will have to go to the sm before I do anything else. Swimming tonight so probably not much else will be done. I have tried several times to phone a workman who said he would get back to me about a wall that needs pointing, today the phone was switched off. If he doesn't want the job I just wish he would say so I can look for someone else, but he is in the last chance saloon right now.
Take care everyone9 -
@TripleH my dad was from
the north west of England and his accents had degrees of strength depending on who he was speaking to. It would also be littered with dialect words and Navy slang. My mum was born on the Surrey/Hants border and had elocution lessons at school (she was in school with lots of army officer kids). Like you I’m pretty good at understanding accents as a result. I’m a terror for picking them up too, It’s how I discovered I have ‘low Welsh’ pronunciation. Apparently I sound like I’m from South Wales!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Apologies for not posting yesterday (Monday - overcast, chilly, wet) 😔 Completely lazy day - dinner was lo cottage pie for DH & DSis whilst I had a salad.
Tuesday is slightly better weather wise as we have had some sunshine. DH has gone to a retirement party. DSis has been in her room for the last 2 days only coming out for drinks & meals. I have done yesterday’s wudupa 😔, dealt with my mail & phoned bank to arrange transfer of some cash to nephew in France to pay a tax bill (their Revenue is possibly worse than ours when it comes to sorting things out 😉)
984 - 994 Kitchen recycling, 4 magazines, 3 plastic bottles, 2 booklets, newspaper - recycled
995 Kitchen detritus binned

Much successful decluttering over the last couple of days. Went through a large basket of throws which I knew had other things hidden at the bottom. Found some mending which I've put in the mending basket, 2 really nice aprons, no idea why they were in there.
Also a baby quilt which was made for me by a friend & a baby blanket crocheted by my Mum. Not sure what to do with those, so they're still in the basket. I passed on all the other baby blankets to my children who then passed them onto others but I've kept these two items.
I've washed the dog's blankets ready to dry outside tomorrow, put some sawn up rotten scaffold planks in the bin, put a brand new propagator my daughter gave me yesterday, into the garage for now, put 2 moribund house plants into the compost bin and their pots away with the others.
Daughter was also getting rid off some old jeans, just what I was looking for as I need a sizable patch of denim for my sachiko mending of a favourite pair of my jeans. Thougth I was going to have to look for some in the cs, so that's saved a few quid.
I'm really making some progress with this place. I now wake up looking forward to tackling the mess instead of overwhelmed and despairing because of it!
