Oh @weenancyinAmerica I feel for you. It sounds like a right pickle. I think, as someone else said, housemates need their boundaries redrawn and enforced or there will be repercussions in the form of evictions. This is your home and you have been more than accommodating of their issues and conditions. You are kind and considerate and you need some of that kindness and consideration in return.I know enforcing boundaries is hard work but you deserve help too and it feels like they are taking advantage. @nannywindow yes been here for 20+ years. Came to uni and never went home.
Well the plan for kitchen and bathroom didn't happen. OH started sorting the shed, I'm offered to help as it was a bit chaotic. 6 hours later after pulling everything out (including 5 bikes), dismantling 2 broken shelve units. Building 2 racking shelves that are much sturdier and safer. Putting everything back in its new home. We did a tip run as that much stuff got decluttered and gave items back to his parents garage. Plus a pile for the carboot we will do next Saturday and Sunday.
Got someone picking up 2 tins of paint tomorrow that I advertised for free.
DD is asleep already, I'm in pj's ready to chill with mind numbing TV before a week of work.8 -

Well done all of those struggling for sharing with us here. We are all hoomans and all suffer RL of not so good days along the way.
DH is struggling with his health and loss of strength, we seem to think it is an exacerbation of his fibromyalgia v v painful. He has finally (resigned to the fact) accepted more of my help. His lack of cognitive decisions that need to be made are driving me mad. So today I was bringing all sorts down from the loft. It is my Justins primarily and not his (No clothes though) all said items have gone straight into the van to hopefully do a car boot next week. Managed to off load some oven dishes as we have limited storage space to DS when he came round. I would prefer someone have their money go further too before anything needs to be tipped. He has found some items from his den (workshop/shed) that when he can get them down during the week they too will be placed into the van. Just need to re-assess the clothing that doesn't - will never fit again - and make a decision. May need to dismantle one of the clothes racks in the loft to use for the car boot.
As we have a low income my part time wage - we are trying to recycle some pennies back in. Not heard about the extension application yet (some of my retirement fund is paying for that - will need to keep it tight if we budget well) DH has a small private pension which we need to make last till he reaches state retirement age.
His tasks he did for me today involved oiling the hinges on our little writing bureau it's been squeaking badly for the last 3 years. He also oiled the side gate hinges Wow! the gate moves fasternow better watch my fingers.
Have a good week all

@bit_by_bit, what is your daughter looking for and where? We were renting in the centre of Manchester 2019-21 so might possibly have some suggestions.I'd love to go to Canada at some point, those pictures make it look beautiful. Our shelving arrived on Friday so have spent the weekend securing it to the wall and reducing the number of boxes we have by quite a bit.We found some pictures thar haven't seen the light of day since before we married that are now on our walls. We have picked up some frames but now no longer need to worry what we're putting on our walls.Still a little way to go but suddenly our goal of finishing major working our home by the end of July is looking realistic.May you find your sister soon Helli.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSunday stayed dry even though it did cloud over a couple of times & the breeze stayed chilly. I did manage a couple of tasks - hand washed my beaded maxi dress & pegged it out on whirligig, fully dried even though it was dripping wet when I hung it out 🙂. Also descaled the kettle & added a new filter. Caught up on series 3 of Westworld (8 episodes) as season 4 starts tomorrow. Dinner was hm cottage pie with lo steak flavoured gravy topped with cheesy mash accompanied by lo broccoli spears 😋 Enough cottage pie left for 2 people 😉 Wudupa.
981 - 982 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle - recycled
983 Kitchen detritus - binnedDefinitely a double win Foofoopuppy 👏 and then 2 new pillows in but 3 items out 👏 & you found time to clear up the garden waste - great work 🙂
nannywindow boo to losing blooms from your newly planted flowers ☹️ I will bet that the carpets feel wonderful underfoot as well as looking great 👏 - yet another task to add to my growing To Do list 😔 Orange jam - I will make a loaf & pop round later 😉 Excellent digital decluttering 👏
Great work Rootle 👏
Good work florianatwobob 👏
What a nightmare of a week weenancy 😱 😥 To be honest I think I would have curled up in a ball & sobbed but fortunately you are made of sterner stuff. I cannot sing your praises enough 🙂 I can add nothing to bit_by_bit’s suggestions only to say ditto 😉 although I think I would have been a bit harsher with my vocabulary 😉 sending positive decluttering vibes, a big boot to kick your housemates’ butts, a common sense ‘spray’ for the library workers & a new number for your phone so that the heir hunter cannot get in touch & will have to do his own work 🙃What a thoughtful & considered post bit_by_bit 👏 & very well put 🙂
Gorgeous photos - I am almost there with you 🙂Well said florianatwobob 🙂 Here’s hoping that weenancy can dispense some tough love 🤞Excellent work by both you & OH Fizz2015 👏 Has earned you each a Gold Star ⭐️ ⭐️ - well done 👏 & good luck with the car boot sales 🍀Lovely post vulpix ☺️2Scratters, sorry to hear that your DH is struggling with his health issues but well done him for, however reluctantly 😉, finally accepting your help 🙂 You have done an extraordinary amount of work 👏 & I wish you both a very successful carboot next weekend 🍀 One medal 🏅 for your DH & one Gold Star ⭐️ for you. Thank you for sharing your financial plans with us & I am wishing you every success ☺️Excellent work TripleH 👏 So pleased that your goal is in sight ☺️😖 GrannyKate - no wonder you feel got at 😖 Great decluttering 👏

Hi all, wet and miserable here today.
Saturday I went hunting unsuccessfully for birthday presents so that still needs to be sorted. I also did a very small sm shop as we went to a garden party yesterday and needed to take a contribution to the food and drink. I did manage to delete some stuff from the laptop, saving some onto a memory stick, a lot more to sort but it seems to have solved the problem for now. I did a wash but it didn't make it onto the line as I could hear thunder rumbling. It went out yesterday morning and was dry before we set off for the garden party. The weather wasn't the best for the garden party as it was a bit chilly in the breeze but it didn't rain and our host had the house open as well for those who felt the cold. I spent most of the time in the garden
. I love this friend's garden as she has it full of flowers and fruit. I sampled her strawberries, raspberries and cherries though her peaches were not ready to eat.
Not sure what to do today but I will probably head into town to continue the hunt for the birthday presents. I will think about it after another cup of tea
@weenancyinAmerica, I honestly don't know how you cope. I agree with others no matter what difficulties your room mates have they should respect your ground rules. I do understand some of the problems with autism as I worked in a special school but 1 of the things they need are clear boundaries. Unless their tenancy includes you being their slave your room mates need to step up and help. It is possible that they don't know how to do things like clean, depending on what their previous life taught them. I would suggest you list the jobs and ask them to choose which they want to take responsibility for, making it clear they have to do some or they will have to find somewhere else to live. I would also make it clear that non payment of rent is not an option. I agree with Vulpix the husky has to be rehomed. They need a lot of exercise to be happy, they were bred to be working dogs and this one is clearly not getting enough and that is why he is so destructive and generally not happy. Tough love is definitely needed. Lots of hugs.
Take care everyone11
