Big hugs @weenancyinAmerica and @Wildrose and the family. My DD is looking for rentals in manchester but really struggling.
Nothing doen today but I have eyed the bathroom ceiling for washing down and painting. Just got to have some bad weather to keep me inside for more than 5 minutesWife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. 1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday was a mixed day alternating between overcast with occasional spits of rain or bright & sunny but very breezy 😔 DH managed to undo the last bolt & remove the rest of the exhaust system on the Harley then had a bath. DSis stayed in her room most of the day & evening. I managed one task - vacuumed the downstairs - emptied 3 times 😬 But I did deal with my one bit of post & filed it 😉 Dinner was steak (cooked by DH) with oven chips, oven baked mushrooms & tomatoes + peas 🤤 Wudupa.
Sunday is a bright sunny day with many white clouds& a very stiff breeze. DH is watching MotoGP races & I have just watched the ‘supposed’ origin story of Resident Evil - possibly the worst film I have ever seen & I have watched some stinkers 😉 Will drink my coffee & then get on with a few mini tasks 🤞
976 - 978 Kitchen recycling, magazine, cardboard box - recycled
979 - 980 Kitchen detritus, vacuum contents - binned
Liverpool_Anne, you have been busy 👏 Sometimes only a well timed threat can get some machines to start working again 😉 As long as it behaves itself when you come to do your jet washing 🙂
GrannyKate, Thanks for the reminder re 1p Challenge 👏
vulpix, occasionally I manage to type with one finger on each hand 😉 Your poor mum - I understand her reluctance - you can’t do invisible mending in a different colour 😅 The abandoned shed & other attendant problems sound like a humongous frog - about the size of an elephant or three 😔 Hopefully your patient approach will see good results 🤞 Enjoy your garden trail & what a good friend helping you out with your garden clutter 😉😉
Floss, always a boon when your local Tip/s take everything 🙂 Excellent work in your garden 👏 & I am hoping you can post some photos when it is all done 🙏
You make your bed sound like a chaise longue mhagster 🙂 reminded me of one of those old movies where the glamorous lady is being visited by her beau 😉 Excellent decluttering at your mum’s 👏 So much done that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️
nannywindow, no need to apologise for a long post - after all I am the queen of the long post 😂 You certainly have been busy - more like a decluttering steamroller 👏 Cooking, gardening & wardrobe sorting with plans for sewing 🤩 The compost heap jelly sounds interesting - so I looked it up & have added to my list of things that I might try 🤞 The inspiration for the mending was definitely from Sewing Bee - I usually try to do invisible mending 😉 However this time the holes were too large 😂
Well done on taking such great advantage of your burst of energy, Baxtersmum 👏 & pleased to hear that you are reaping the rewards 🙂 The train is definitely still an express train - usually mid way through the year the decluttering vehicle slows down 😉 but 2022 seems to be the ‘Year of the Great Declutter’ 🙂
Excellent work short_bird 👏 Hopefully the electrician & gas engineer haven’t been duelling to the point of exhaustion 😉😉
Oh weenancy - I just want to give you a huge hug 🤗 then sit you down, cook your favourite meal, pour out your favourite tipple & banish your roommates to another state for a few months 🙂 I am sending positive thoughts that next week is a calmer & less stressful week 🤞
Lovely post wort 🙂
What a lovely sentiment & compliment vulpix ☺️ If only the OS MSE ethos could be instilled in world leaders 😔
Wildrose, well done on keeping up with your conservatory clearance 👏 What a lovely vet & truly amazing service - one medal 🏅 for her 🙂 Love the wariness of your dog - no thermometer so OK 😂 Sorry to hear that DD5’s landlady is selling up ☹️ I don’t know the circumstances but as DS3 is also looking for a rental is there any way that DD5 & DS3 could pool their resources & possibly buy somewhere? Possibly a whacky idea 😉 Well done on keeping up the momentum with your decluttering 👏 One question - are you a yellow rose by any chance 😉
A free paddling pool Fizz2015 - lucky you 😂 but at least the garden got watered 😉 Great decluttering & well done to OH for doing the ironing 👏 Good luck with Sunday’s plan 🍀
GrannyKate what a pain in the posterior 😖 Looks like the scamming community is feeling the pinch as well 😡 Well done on dealing with it so promptly 👏 Excellent work in your garden 👏 & I am crossing everything that the longed for rain puts in an appearance 🤞
Sounds like a lovely day TC77 🙂 Great work on sorting the 2 rooms in readiness for the ceiling decorating 👏 Yah boo to PCN - DH had a similar type of PCN a few years ago 😡
You are welcome teachergirl 🙂 That is a bit of a quandary re the tent (ashamed to say a cynical thought had popped into my head 😔) but I think waiting a while is your best bet. Excellent shed decluttering 👏
Good luck to your DD GrannyKate 🍀
Hope the weather becomes suitable for decorating the bathroom ceiling, bit_by_bit 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Finally got rid of the packaging for the computer - kept initially in case there was an issue and we had to send it back then forgotten about as out of sight, out of mind. Bonus - found the WiFi connector that came with it that was overlooked, and it works better than the old one we had. So counting as a double win.
Also managed to get rid of the rest of the small tree ish plant we cut down a few weeks ago and didn't have enough space to green bin.
Replaced 2 pillows which were very flat and uncomfortable, I have new ones now and have got rid of all rubbish and the old pillows immediately.

Hello all, it's a much better day here than yesterday, thunder, lightening, hail and torrential rain ! The rain was so heavy that it knocked off several blooms from my newly planted flowers 🤨
Last night I cleaned the lounge carpet, well most of it, couldn't get to everywhere because of the furniture which I had to get DH to help me move. I was ashamed to see so much dirt come out of it, Yuk ! Anyway today as the machine was still out I have cleaned the kitchen runner and the front and back door mats, Yuk and double Yuk !! but I was able to clean them outside on the patio and they are now drying in the sunshine. I finished off making my jam and filled 2 empty 1lb jars which had previously held shop bought marmalade, very MSE as it cost me almost nothing, only some sugar and it tastes like orange jam, delicious 😋.
Out today, apart from the dirty water 😕, went 27 emails, 2 take away containers, a cracked magnifying glass, several plastic fruit containers and a damaged screwdriver. Later I shall use up some lo tuna as a filling for my jacket potato and DH will have the last of the coronation chicken on his potato.
weenancy hugs from me too. Hang on in there because you are doing an amazing job, I don't think I could have coped as well as you with all that is being thrown your way.
wildrose my you are going through the wringer lately, I shall send you copious hugs 🤗
Hi Fizz didn't realise until now that you hailed from my neck of the woods.
Take care all
nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -

Thank you for your hugs. Reasons I needed help - Last week – Roommate 1 was drunk the whole week. Fell 6 times on Monday – had to go get a neighbor to help get him off the floor the last time. (He doesn’t remember the day at all). Wednesday – he walked to the liquor store to get more – and fell again. Paramedics were called – but we weren’t. I spent three hours trying to find him and finally walked to the liquor store myself (other roommate had car). Found out they had taken him to a hospital – spent another thirty minutes trying to find which hospital he was in. He is home - remorseful but thinks a “girl friend” who lives over 500 miles away will be coming Tuesday to spend the night. They have been texting only. I’m afraid he may be going through withdrawal when she comes. He had a dental appointment this last week to remove damaged teeth but was too drunk to go. Came down today and complained for over thirty minutes about the teeth. Wants to try dental appointment again. This will be the third try.
Other male roommate had been off work with a partially collapsed lung. He got himself overextended (75” TV, husky dog, etc.) and hasn’t been able to pay all of his rent – so I have been having to juggle bills. Said husky isn’t eating properly and just throws the food all over. Has knocked me over twice this week – so I am dealing with an injured shoulder. Roommate was supposed to be helping clean up after the dog – finally did after five months. Backyard is a shambles and so is front area where he smokes– which wouldn’t be so bad, but I have been trying to refinance the Reverse Mortgage and the appraiser is supposed to be coming in a couple weeks. I am still trying to clean up his daughter’s room now she is back in Missouri to stay. Problem is getting things down off of shelves – I am very short, so having to climb ladders. Tall roommates won’t help even when asked specifically. He claims she was lazy – but she is exactly like him. Won’t help 15 minutes a day (or even a week). Leaves things all over – there is a jar of spaghetti sauce and two packages of spaghetti on my sofa he bought a week ago to “fix that night”.
Female roommate who has lived here for twelve years, complained this week because the shower was dirty. Said she couldn’t take a shower as a result. That was the last straw. She has never cleaned anything in the 12 years. She wouldn’t even help with the dishes when I fell – left them for five days until I could figure out how to do it basically one-handed. She is on the autism spectrum, hasn’t worked enough credits yet to get Social Security, so will be having money problems soon as her trust is running out. She can work for hours on a special project – but has never cleaned her room (2nd roommate above did it once – and there are still bags of unwashed clothing pilled in the storage room waiting for her after 5 years). All she does all day is work on a project on the computer or on her bed sorting papers or watches sports on tv. She is forever buying more drinks (bottled tea mostly) and leaving them in the way. Totally blocked my access to the room I was cleaning yesterday. She has stacks of bottles everywhere. The living room is half full of her stuff, mostly trash, and as I said I have about two weeks to get the house cleaned up. When I ask her to clean, she she throws a fit.
To top it off, besides having pressure to clean the house, a person I am working with who does heir searches wants me to do all the research work for him instead of helping (he doesn’t seem to know what he is doing) and calls late at night or when I am working with other people in the Family History Center and expects me to drop everything. Then we had a problem at the library. After our book sale, we have to wait until the following Monday to clean up but when we went in the people who run the small bookstore in the library had dumped one our most important carts in the trash so they could get an empty cart (there were several available). Didn’t wait until we got there when the library opened. Didn’t bother to ask which cart would be best – now I will be having trouble replacing books for that cart in time for the next book sale. They also threw out two carts of fiction books and a cart waiting to be sorted. One of the people has apologized but that won’t solve the problem. We are supposed to have separate areas for working but it doesn’t seem to work both ways.
Just all in all a bad week. But I have decluttered a lot especially after discovering an infestation of moths the hard way (cooked macaroni and the larvae floated to the surface) Having to re-do pantry this next week too. So the next two weeks I shall be busy decluttering before the appraiser comes.

Blimey @weenancyinAmerica . You really have an excess of difficulty. SOunds like you are overwhelmed.
A simple thing would be to get your heir searcher to only text you and you will get back to him when you are free. Either that or he can come and help you instead.
The library people seem to be a pain. Can you delegate that communication issue to someone else?
The others need their boundaries redrawn as you have been running around after them for years. Nothing where you walk or you will throw it. Tell all of them that you will expect some cleaning or help of each in the coming week or you may lose the house. If no help expect eviction notices.
This may temporarily kick them in the pants. They all need specific jobs. to do but this is still all down on you to organise them though sadly.
