I want to thank all of you on this site for helping me keep sane. If I couldn't come on here and read, I wouldn't have made it through this week. It has been really bad and I have felt inches away from a nervous breakdown, but being able to come on here and read your accounts of what the rest of you are doing, has kept me from going over the edge. Hopefully, next week will be better.13

@weenancyinAmerica, I’m sending a big 🤗 hug, please take care of yourself.
@magh well done on the clearing at your mums , huge effort on your own.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.9 -

I had a lovely day yesterday 👀 at and talking to garden owners. Also catching up with my lovely mse friend.I have come to the conclusion that all the people here are caring people. Doing so much for others. And what a nicer word you all make it. ❤️Gave my friend 2 bird feeders yesterday. Slow and steady wins the race.Off to work now.Vx:8 -
Only one thing decluttered yesterday, one item taken from the conservatory and put in its home.
Dog doing much better, slowly improved through the day and night. To my utter astonishment, the vet (who I'd met for the first time Friday) turned up in the morning, have checked dog's bloods results and discovered he had an infection. So, as she was driving through my town, delivered the antibs, wanting him to start asap. He had a quick once over in the front garden too, once he'd satisfied himself that she didn't have a thermometer on her. Amazing service.
Bad news for DD5 yesterday, her landlady of 9 years is selling the house DD rents. The rental market is horrific at the moment and our rent prices are elevated by being so close to 2 major USAF bases. DD was utterly distraught. DS 3 lost his rental 6 weeks ago so we know how hard it is to find anywhere to rent. DD5 (my numbering system for my children is totally without logic, as I might expect of myself) coped with the stress by decluttering her house pre estate agents visit for photographs. This tells us that DD5 hasn't got 5 generations of clutter in her home and has always kept on top of it. As she is struggling to cope with life at the moment I have been taking her decluttered items to the cs and said she could drop yesterday's haul here. This tells us why I am struggling with 5 generations of clutter - although it will all be out of here within 2 days.
Today, while keeping a close eye on the dog, I'll be back on the decluttering trail. I'm so inspired and heartened by everyone's endeavours on this thread, just reading your posts always gives me a lift.9 -
@weenancyinAmerica big hugs to you and fab that you posted. Hope things get easier for you.
A gorgeous day in S.E Wales, had amazing thunder storms yesterday and had a paddling pool in our garden due to the downpours!
I achieved a food shop yesterday, prices are now increasing faster than ever across the board! Going to aim a once weekly shop. OH took DD to the library and did loads of the ironing.
I decluttered a carrier bag of soft plastic recycling and repaired 9 items of clothing. 1 item to ragbag.
Today's plan, finance and life admin, declutter/clean bathroom and kitchen (an ongoing battle).
Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday x9 -
Hugs to all who need them. RL is a struggle at times. Started the day with message that someone had tried to change my password on Facebook. I suspected something was amiss as I have had a couple of odd friend requests and messages in last few days. It doesn't look like they were successful but I logged out on all devices then changed password on my desktop. Grr.
I think I still use that password on some other accounts so will go through and check all my other accounts. Long Sunday morning chat with DD which we do most weeks. I guess I had better get dressed.
922 Pruned some flowering shrubs overhanging from neighbours garden just to cut back from where they reach my gutter.
923 Weeding
924 Popped in garden centre and bought tray of pansies to fill in gaps and some runner beans to go with the two free plants I got a few weeks ago. Planted out along with free tray of lobelia gc were giving away.
925 New tall canes bought for my tomatoes in garden pots and plants tied in
926 Facebook password changed
927 Unsubscribed from three random sites - suspect they are linked to competitions I have entered as they are on that email address.
928 DGD4's birthday presents and cards given to her.

@Wildrose what a lovely vet , and sorry to hear about DD, very unsettling and worrying for her.
Out all day yesterday in Birmingham for uni day and went with my cousin and her daughter, and then to a community garden event which a second cousin is involved in and helped me get some perspective. Chaos here but know need to set example for DD. During week will tackle my bedroom and going to try and have a 'home' for glasses cleaner - no idea where 2 bottles are... and cloth and things like this. Nearly done enough in 2 rooms - getting someone in to do ceilings. Home late last night to envelope I knew was a PCN and a text from friend I saw earlier this week who has Covid. She is doing ok, and I've tested negative so don't have to worry about all the people I saw yesterday, and will declutter £ for the PCN, I turned into 1 way street and realised immediately and turned round but a few yards passed the sign!
Hope to report abit later 974 (forgot to add before)10 -
@weenancyinAmerica big hug. Be kind to yourself. I have been there.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you for my medal. Some Frogs are definitely tougher than others.
@wildrose glad the dog is OK . (I also have two money pits😂 )
@GrannyKate my husband collected notebooks too 🤦♀️
Now I can’t reply to anyone else as I keep loosing the post when I go back to check names
DS has been here for a couple of days. We got my six man tent down from the loft in the garage photographed it and put it on marketplace. Overnight I was offered less than half the price by someone who said they would like it but cannot afford it. I wish I knew if it was genuine as I have been in that position and could afford to pass it on. I will give it a couple of days and see if I get any other offers.
Have found a couple of fermentation buckets for beer making which I will freecycle. This will be good as they take up loads of room.
DS is in the process of buying his own place and needed a few garden bits as he has to go and empty the outside drains and cut back some vegetation from the window.( the property is empty and he has permission) So I braved the shed this morning. I had tossed in everything from our allotment(which I had to give up) and my husbands car when I sold that.
Sorted all the spare garden bits in there into a nice bucket to give my son. Found at least another 15 empty plastic containers which I put into the recycling and some broken tools which hopefully I will take to the recycling centre later today.
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D9 -
@TC77 DD was also at Birmingham uni yesterday for open day for DGS1. Always been his favourite choice but now he is starting to consider others as well. She said she walked miles and was exhausted.2025 Decluttering Campaign 977/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
