I’m enjoying reading everyone’s decluttering progress, but I am firmly stuck in the TLC carriage for a while now. Picked up DS’s stomach bug thing and am so run down I am struggling to shake it off and haven’t eaten for 3 days. Trying to regain an appetite now, but it’s slow progress.2025 decluttering: 3,750🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Busy couple of days at work and usually collapse in a bit of a heap on a Monday night but felt I needed to change the mental pattern of the last few Mondays ( last spoke to mum on the Monday evening after work then found her gone next morning) so me, the dog and the hoover went round. Her hoover seems to have broken down so took mine to vacuum sofas before they get uplifted later on in week. So I’ve decluttered three cylinders of dust! ( not just the sofas…floors too😆)
Dropped off 15 books at supermarket.Phoned Sky to see what was happening? Should have been sent a prepaid box to return equipment and hadn’t received it. Apparently sent out a month ago today but we’ve never received it. Holy moly trying to get through…I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the video clip of 2 Scotsmen in a lift trying to activate by voice…this was me ( a fairly polite Scots person not overly broad spoken!) say yes or no. Yes. I don’t understand said the computer voice. Say yes or no. Several times I said yes! Finally got a human who still couldn’t understand me. Then finally got put through to a very nice person who could understand me perfectly and a new box will be sent out! Thank you. Sigh! And a jam jars worth of roses and hydrangeas.11 -
Morning All,
I have a bit of incentive to declutter and tidy the house as I have a friend coming to stay in mid July. Makes sense to stay with me than spend over £100 on a hotel.
Not much chance to declutter today as I am in the office to will be leaving the house at 8 and home about 6pm.
Hugs to those who need them.

So the weather helped in my plan to sort out the bathroom yesterday. I fully expected to have to paint the ceiling but after washing that and the walls down I appear to have decluttered the painting job. The ceiling is fine beneath the grime. Just got some grout scrubbing and the floor today. Spreading the energy around.
Decluttered a frog yesterday. BiL needed a new dryer. Bought and to be delivered to his in Manchester on Thursday. They will fit it and remove the old one, so all good.
Back to cleaning then. Have a good day allWife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Sigh! And a jam jars worth of roses and hydrangeas. When in New Zealand at the end of a tour we'd been on, one of our party with a mild Glaswegian (sorry for spelling) accent tried to order a taxi but the operator couldn't understand her. Another member of the group with a very strong London accent helped out and was fully understood first time. This is always a strange concept as my dad's parents weren't English and had strong accents so I'm generally pretty good at understanding English spoken with an accent regardless of what it is.We're motoring on with sorting now. Cleared out and chucked another 2 boxes.
May you find your sister soon Helli.

Cleared out my Narnia / junk cupboard and threw away about 4/5 black bags of unneeded and unused items.
So I am making that an easy 110 items gone.
Have a box of 15 VHS tapes on offer on freecycle to go.
Got rid of 4 bags of clothes to charity so that was another 40 items.
Also have two boxes of decorations and a christmas tree listed on free groups.
Plus a lady coming to pick up a DVD player soon.
And another lady rehoming a chest of draws and a table from me.
So I make it about 238 items gone in the last week!
Phew - I feel lighter already!Time to find me again10 -
I was waiting on the phone in reply to an email I received, and I was put on hold, so I took the opportunity to arrange my inbox to 'from' and was able to delete about 300 emails easily: former providers, former landlady, former employers, former insurance companies, etc. All gone!

My Tuesday morning update ( whilst it’s still fresh in my head ) was in at work at very early o’clock for an hour and then went round to mums. So I’ve been to the tip twice, confused the chap that checks you in ( we have to book online) as he could see I had two appointments…I’ve already been and I’ve just a wee car said I 😀
Gone… one pouffe from an old suite. Was all cat scratched. One rug. One hoover and two bags of small electricals. 3 air beds ( absolutely ancient and no idea if they still inflate or even if rubber hasn’t perished) one large plastic barrel that came from mum old work about 45 years ago, was mine as a kind of toy storage thingy. And then onto charity shop with books, tapes, CDs, bric a brac. Five bags/boxes.
And one bunch of roses and hydrangeas 😊
Will be back round later on.10
