2022 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD

Hello all, just reporting in for duty 😁 This morning I have decluttered some lo fruit from the bowl, some rather sour eating apples and some juicy but tasteless plums, both have been stewed together so I'll make some small pies later when they are cooled. I've also got some lo corned beef hash to make into pasties too, then the oven can go on with everything in there together.
Yesterday I made a start on decluttering a 2019 decorating frog and painted the ceiling then put one coat on the walls of an upstairs room, I am hoping one coat will be enough but DH will have to cast his beady eye over it today as I was going colour blind by the end of the day 😂 ( he didn't notice this morning when he walked past 🙄 ) The woodwork will be the last thing to do during this week and only then can I polish my halo for getting rid of another decorating millstone. Next on the list is our bedroom but I'm still looking for some wallpaper for a feature wall, or maybe not if I can't find anything I like and I'll just paint the whole room again 🤔 It's taking me a long time to complete as I get slower and slower with every year that passes, and more coffee breaks, but not as long as it's taken me to start the decorating, only 3 years ! 😂
Still haven't had our car back and it's been 6 weeks now 😣, seems the repair garage are still waiting for the replacement body parts. DH "could have done the job himself and 10x's quicker". Don't think so he's no spring chicken but he forgets as I do.
MrsSD hope you have a fantastic holiday.
Hugs to anyone in need and keep up the good work everyone.

Well the same with everything tbh. I have cleaned all the windows bar one and need to find some omph to get it done.A special congratulations to you Mrs SD for your recent decluttering. Have an amazing trip. I don’t think you are too old for biking. Keeps you young.I will go and do that window right now.Vx:11

I must say MrsSD that putting the lawnmower and hedge trimmer in DBro’s bedroom is tempting………😉 he has however dismantled a very tired kitchen trolley and salvaged the rubber wood top which was still in good condition and could make a rather useful table with the right legs.
Large bag of stuffing and a bag of bits dropped off at our local hospice charity shop.Like all hospices they do such good work and my family have benefitted from their professional services as my mum and auntie were looked after as in-patients. I also did voluntary work at their fundraising office after I left school and gathered valuable work experience whilst I was gainfully unemployed and signing on.
’Gentleman Carpenter’ should be arriving this week. Date TBC. Plumber is booked up until 13th June at the earliest but as none of the jobs are urgent just ones that need to be sorted that’s fine.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Bit of a washout today with the rain, so we stayed in and tried to keep DD occupied. Teething seemed worse today and I can see at least 4 teeth trying to come through. No wonder she's a mess.A few more bits and pieces decluttered whilst tidied in the room of doom:579 - 591 - old financial paperwork592 - digital notes deleted593 - 594 - paperwork recycled@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thanks for the medal for DS, he is definitely getting good at the decluttering having seen me do it so often (I did try and start it at 3 years old). Ironically budgeting is on the agenda next to some extent as I've just started given him pocket money and am trying to explain he needs to save up for things. MrsSD someone tried to PM me this week but theirs wasn't working either.
Out today a used and gone hard paint roller found in my shed and a metal cooling rack with one leg missing. I don't know where the leg is and can't understand how it's become detached as it was part of the rack, it's a mystery.

I'm in awe of your adventures Mrs SD and look forward to how it goes.
Slow day today, DD1 came round and saw my book 'getting things done' ready for the CS and started laughing as clearly I haven't got things done.
2 minor frogs
Tidied a few areas, and gave in - DD2 meant to be doing washing up but clearly won't happen this side of summer! so quite abit of housework done.
Ordered next book for book club
Helped DD1 take things back to shop

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday was a dreary damp day - intermittent showers & no sunshine ☹️ DH watched the MotoGP races. He had a bath to relieve the last of the aching & itching - now just two fingertips 🙂 I spent the day in my dressing gown sleeping intermittently really shouldn’t have stayed up & watched Eurovision 😉 - washed the last bits of clothing needed for holiday, had a lovely long bath & wrote a final checklist. DSis & I watched the final of The Great Big Tiny Design Challenge & agreed with the winner - our favourite from the first episode 👏 Also watched the last episode of SAS: Who Dares Wins - only the ladies left standing at the end - all the fellas voluntarily left - couldn’t handle the pressure 😂 Dinner was chicken and mushroom risotto cakes. DSis wu & I dupa.850 - 851 Kitchen recycling & kitchen detritusYou have been busy Fizz2015 👏 What a lovely thing to do - donating furniture to a friend in need 😊
EnergyShifter visiting a friend is a great way to recover from trauma therapy 😊 I think you will have to advertise your shed smashing skills 😉Excellent use of fruit & lo food nannywindow 👏 Very MSE cooking everything at once 😇 Very impressed that you have started decorating - a 3 year frog is nothing 😉 - it took us 15+ years to redecorate our bedroom 😔 As you have made such great progress I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Sorry to hear that your car is still in the garage ☹️ I think it is yet another ‘challenge’ that we will all have to get used to. Adding to longer NHS waiting lists, empty sm shelves & sky high energy costs 😭 However, we are a resilient group of people both on this thread & the OS Forum in general 🙂vulpix, perhaps all of us who do our own decorating should club our resources together & hire some fit young people 🤣 I agree biking keeps us feeling younger than our actual years unless we have a long day & fall off the bike with tiredness 🤣 Thank you for the congrats - starting to get a bit more into the mindset to declutter 🤞
florianatwobob, go on you know you want to 😂 but only after DBro has built a new table 😉😉Always lovely to be able to support a charity close to your heart ❤️ Carpenter & plumber - now you are just boasting 😂 only joking 🙃QueenJess your poor DD 😣 Great decluttering 👏 I am very impressed, your DS is a lucky boy being taught decluttering & now budgeting 🙂 What a great idea to quote in weeks of pocket money 👏
Hopefully the MSE technical team will sort out the PM problem, nannywindow 🤞 Good decluttering 👏
TC77 please keep everything crossed that we pass our PCR tests 😉🤞🤞otherwise a very short lived holiday. Great work especially dealing with frogs 👏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Mrs SD - Everything crossed for the PCR tests - hope you have a fabulous holiday. Glad to hear Mr SD's health has improved enough to enjoy it.Did you get to watch Eurovision? And did you enjoy it? DD and I thought it seemed a bit more subdued than usual. And we ended up wanting to throw things at the presenters (or, more fairly, their scriptwriters!)Well, I emerged from the TLC carriage and managed to get a lot of chores done so DD had somewhere to sleep etcWe went out on Saturday to get snacks for Eurovision and......got hit (twice) at the back, being at the front of a line of cars! No-one seems to have been seriously hurt (although we had/have stiff necks), car still driveable and will be replaced by insurance company while being repaired - but it put a bit of a crimp in the weekend!Think I'll hibernate for the rest of the month. Possibly till 2023. It's safer!A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
