Thank you for our medals, @Mrs_Salad_Dodger! I will add them soon!
Still no luck with jobs and getting very close to sticking their job up the bum but a few recruiters have spoken to me and I've been applying for some admin-based jobs this time instead of call center...
Other than that, We've been slowly sorting out the garden to make it nice for Remi
(super dangerous for him right now)
and I'm slowly sorting the spare room/my office out as I've accidentally created a junk room...
🧼 Decluttering I did this week (so far)🧼
#57 pants#58 broken handbag #59 Bible I won't ever use but has been highlighted in #60 deleted a lot of computer files & sorted them into folders mostly. Have a "to sort" which i need to move into other folders #61 Deleted a lot of my Instagram saved #62 Sorted some scraps of paper #63 a few other little bits
I'm slowly getting there with my eventual goal of a decluttered house, personal and online life
Great to keep reading your posts everyone!
Love & hugs to those needed & keep up the good work xx🗑️Mission Declutter & Clean 2022🧼 - 105 Items
Onto building a life I love x8 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday started very dull & overcast but surprisingly warm with a gentle breeze. Over the last 4 hours we have had some blue skies & brilliant sunshine but it is now clouding over again ☹️ DH & I have had a fairly productive couple of hours 🥳 DH has filled all the bird & squirrel feeders & put a few items into the garage. Then DH went up into loft (I held the ladder 😉) & retrieved our two suitcases + DSis’s suitcase. The search for our waterproof trousers entailed emptying the under stairs cupboard, so we took the opportunity to sort it out completely - we found our waterproofs 🥳, 2 bottles of disinfectant, several cans of air fresheners, many pairs of motorbike gloves, hand washing liquid soap refills, pair of DH’s dress shoes - all items have relocated to more appropriate locations. This left space for other items including several of DSis’s fleeces which had been hung on the newel post - now folded on a shelf; several cans of ‘compressed gas duster’ (moved from top of DH’s wardrobe which we had also sorted 😉) & we found a tank bag for a motorbike we no longer own 🙄 which will be listed & sold. Extra bonus - we still have space on the shelves for other items 🥳 From sorting the wardrobes, CofD, bedside drawers & under-stairs cupboard I have a small pile of items for CS which I will list here when they have been dropped off at CS.

EnergyShifter hopefully brighter weather will mean work is not such a slog 🤞I think I am beginning to look forward to the holiday which will be our very last big motorcycling trip (as we are now both in our 60’s 😱) The major stumbling block to getting excited is the dreaded PCR test 😔
florianatwobob, not to worry as you have already proved you can declutter 👏 Fingers crossed that the plumber sorts out the tap problem before the bath panel is fitted 🤞
I hope we haven’t been making too much noise in the TLC Carriage roundtuit 😉 as there have been so many of us in there recently 😉 I think many of us are trying to recharge our Life Batteries which have become drained by a combination of RL, the changeable weather, Covid & the constant drip, drip, drip of soaring prices, government scandals & horror stories from the Ukraine. I am very surprised that we aren’t all in the TLC Carriage 😔 Apologies for that 😞 On to more optimistic views 🙂 Excellent work roundtuit 👏 your time in the TLC Carriage was well spent 🙂 Now that you are getting into the swing of things I see empty spaces when all the cs stuff is delivered 👏
Siebrie, just 5 months 😉😉 Excellent decluttering Siebrie 👏 Very pleased to see that your husband is finally appreciating all the hard work you have put in & seeing the benefits of having less ‘stuff’ & more space 🥳 Useful friend to have - very MSE 🙂
Thanks for sharing a family story TripleH 👏 Reminds me that every bit of decluttering I do now means I will be making the decision 😉 rather than leaving it to someone else. Sorry to hear about the miscommunication re the shelves but the silver lining is that you will have a beautiful garden 🙂
Good for you nannywindow 👏 As to the washing basket filling up I agree - clothing appears from thin air 😖 Good luck with ironing 🍀 Thanks for the good wishes re my holiday 🙂
You have been busy vulpix 👏 Hope you enjoy your trip to Shetland & can relax away from all the building works 🙂 Major projects are so disruptive & not only for the cats 😉 I am not usually quite so anxious about holidays but COVID really has changed the world - makes going anywhere such a chore 😔
You are very welcome accidentalglixch 🙂 So sorry to hear that the job situation hasn’t been resolved as yet ☹️ but hopefully the job recruiters will find the perfect job for you 🤞 Excellent work sorting out the garden & the spare/work room 👏 As to your statement “I'm slowly getting there with my eventual goal of a decluttered house, personal and online life” I am confident that you will reach your goal on all 3 counts 🙂 Thank you for reminding me that decluttering is a marathon & not a sprint 👏

@MrsSD The big fridge has arrived today
after decluttering some free time in searching & many pennies (£'s) but yet saving half as much so it is a win win. It is brand new ex-demo and some very slight light damage,(very MSE me thinks) I can handle that especially as it is bought for its function so fits in perfectly with its German brother freezer of same style who has got his own dimples (we gave him those). Tomorrow will be able to advertise and declutter old fridge for a new family or someone starting out.
I have managed to declutter many teams notifications, learning all the time about tech functions as I am not savvy at all.
Decluttered more penniesfor plans for our extension and submitting them, fingers crossed they don't cost any more and are accepted.
Clothing out is very slow this week - a bra!!
Decluttering items from the ironing pile that really can be got away with is a new thing to me so keeping practicing.
Have great travels to all and to those who are not traveling just yet enjoy your time at home or what ever pleases you.

I have returned from my trip away. Not had time to read all the posts yet so hugs to all who need them and well done to those who have had achievements. House wasn't too bad when I got back just a few things to put in their proper place. Car had a wobbly whilst I was away - AA came out but I do need to get it looked at as recurring problem - not firing properly apparently. Lovely to see family and found a fellow family history enthusiast in my nephew. Conference was good and I could put real faces to those I had only met on zoom before. Visited my brother's memorial stone and bench for the first time with sil. A beautiful rural English churchyard.
746 Mementos and photos delivered to sil
747 MIL ashes scattered as she wished where she put fil's 36 years ago. I sat there and thought of them for a while - the town where I was born.
748 Counting helping brother demolish his settee and put it in car for tip appointment
749 Bought some postcards and scanned in - managed to identify a person with an interest in the recipient of a postcard from 1906 and sent her a scanned copy this afternoon which she was delighted to receive.
750 Lots of emails deleted but others need answering (tomorrow's frog)
751-752 Bags of plastic to recycling
753 Emptied out fridge
Decluttered lots of money but we won't count that. DGS4 was very excited as he tidied up the trolleys when I put mine away at sm and he found a £1 coin in one of them. All the washing done and dry. One item to iron. Feel very tired today but weather was awful for driving home yesterday but I got here safely.
I may need time in TLC carriage at the weekend.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

10 books gratefully received by L.
Unexpected 'in' though. A coffee table. Free. Being given away by a friend, so very mse 😇. I did have a coffee table stored at my parents' house but it has mysteriously disappeared! Dad denies all knowledge of it, and Mum is no longer here to ask. I'm sure it was still there when she died. But now I have enough floor (yes, really 😊) to put a coffee table, went to fetch mine....and....gone. 🤷♀️. Thorough search of all bedrooms at Dad's was made, but zilch. A vanishing coffee table!!! Bizarre. So when I saw J advertising one on FB I said yes please. I've recently bought a footstool off her too. Yes, I had floor for that too 😇. I'm hoping J upgrades her bedroom soon as I could do with a cod and wardrobe for what was DS's room - I let him take his bedroom furniture when he moved in with GF. 😉
Hoping to take a bag of books to cs tomorrow- need to ring first to make sure they are accepting donations. If I take a bag each week the pile will eventually disappear. Marathon, not sprint.

Well DD managed a whole day at nursery, but is a shadow of her former self and very sad. I am plying her with ice cream, medicine and lots of cuddles. I hope it finishes soon; I can see some teeth bulging in her gums, but not through yet.Lots of digital files decluttered whilst watching TV. Also, the school emailed to ask for party bag type toys for their fete, which was too good an opportunity to miss as that sort of tat (which I hate btw... terrible pointless consumerism with plastic tat that breaks in two seconds and no one even wants....) you can never get rid of besides binning (and I hate to bin anything). I pulled together a pile of things and went through them with DS (age 5) to discuss what we wanted to give away. He let lots of things go and I am so pleased! He is definitely learning! I will take them in tomorrow on the school run.I have a constant small list of things being listed on buy nothing and people picking things up. As they do, the room of doom definitely improves a little. Also been trying hard to organise the kitchen and using up anything near the date and being creative with things we tried and don't like. DD's strawberry porridge mix that she won't eat worked a treat in some fruit flapjacks, so that should be able to be used up by the end of May before the BB date.Better start my digital organising for tonight. I've been working through a massive to do list and done so much already. Need to go and swallow a time consuming one, which is looking up how to sync/backup various files to two different locations automatically to save myself time..Items decluttered:499-503 - digital files deleted504-548 - digital bookmarks
549-555 - digital notes
556-568 - kids party bag toys
568-566 - kitchen items I had on the to get rid of pile, but changed my mind as they came in really handy for today!

Mrs SD have a fab trip. I remember my best friend went on a trip to France with her boyfriend on his motorbike years ago - expecting it to be a romantic weekend only to find about another 100 other people and their bikes! Been together over 25 years now, last year came over from the states where they now live, brought bike, stayed with me (DD2 thought v cool middle aged people going touring on a bike) over to Paris, and now husband went on to Istanbul while she flew home. Bikes aren't for me but did get excited when a friend sent me link to half price interrailing - takes me back decades but can't go til DD1 leaves school. Friends signed up for 1/2 months - very envious. So will spend my time decluttering hoping to have easy to look after home for when I can gallivant9 -

Non-working Day for me today, I restructured my hours recently so I work an extra 45mins per day over 9 days and get my 10th day off work. It really is excellent!
Today we’ve tidied the shed, things had been dumped in the doorway and naturally the replacement part for the plumber was at the back of the shed…..During the great shed tidy we found some bits to go. Those are currently left by the front gate for Womblers to have a look through. Handily we’re on the same road as the local primary school and lots of parents walk past us to pick their kids up. Hopefully some bits will go ‘the easy way’.Potted on the tomatoes 🍅 and chillis 🌶 and deadheaded the grape hyacinths and bluebells which had gone over.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

I've been in the TLC carriage for the past few weeks, my energy levels haven't been great so the decluttering has suffered. Still, my home hasn't become cluttered overnight, so what's a few weeks in the larger scheme of things?
I've resumed tidying up/sorting out my PC today, more files and documents gone. DH is making noises about sorting the loft next week, hurrah!
I'm up to 711 now, just over a third of the way to my target......
Hope everyone is well and have a great holiday Mrs SD, hope Mr SD is OK while you're away.
