Could I jump on board this thread to hold myself to account re dealing with some boxes of paperwork in the attic containing many, many individual items that need to be sorted/processed. It would be a morning's task at most if they were boxes of say old magazines - hello recycling bin! However, they aren't and as the doing an hour a week method has ground to a halt because that hour became an hour that I started to dread, I'm now going for the 500 items by the end of the year approach with flexibility on when I actually get it done.
So 500 by year end.8 -
@2Scratters "Keeping my legs raised has rid me (for now!) my old biddies puffy ankle has reduced to previous normal. I contracted cellulitis in it many moons ago and so it likes to swell. The extra weight wont help either but will keep trying. "The simplest exercise is to keep your calf muscles moving: lie down/have your legs raised and flex and point your toes as far as they can go, or: sit on a sturdy chair, put your feet on the ground and alternately lift your heels and toes.

Weird, I have been doing leg strengthening exercises lately as I have nerve problems. My brother said he was told squats were the best thing to do after his knee surgeries.
I have just collected up enough clothes for my husband to take two big bags to the chazzer. I have no idea where it all comes from!!! We have decluttered so much already due to our house move.

Thanks to those who sent kind thoughts on family difficulties. @Siebrie - like you I had cellulitis and nasty infection following an insect bite on foot whilst on holiday. Many years ago now but it swells up from time to time.

Sunday was another mixed day - cold & dampish but no sleet 😉 DH finally got a call from a doctor this morning - probably shingles but referred him to The Royal London walk-in clinic.

Still going from dog to roommate's room and cleaning to working on the computer. In the first hour on her room, I got rid of another bag of cans and bottles for recycling and put another bag of trash into the bin. This afternoon will be spent at the library getting books ready for the sale next week. Right now there are only two of us doing the sorting - and we get over a thousand books donated a month. We are having cool weather right now - but by Wednesday it is supposed to warm up, on Thursday it will be over 36 degrees Celsius (98 degrees). Not sure how to keep Siberian Husky cool, but she does go stand in the pool. May have to be out there with the hose for part of the day.

Evening All, well I typed a post early and posted on the wrong thread! RL and a busy (well manic) time in work and working silly hours. I'm only 2 weeks post covid and feel exhaustion has caught up with me today.
Also gained a 1&1/2 of the 1/2 stone I lost. ☹️ House is a mess and zero decluttering has happened.
Enough moaning, feel I'm being too hard on myself.
Positives I'm going to go to bed early with a hot water bottle and read. Will ask to use my flexi leave this week to chill and get on top of housework. Also booked a carboot for May, so need to find enough stuff to fill a car and make it worthwhile. I like a challenge and sure I can do it. Always amazes me the random things people will buy.
I've been making a conscious effort to reduce food waste and minimise our energy bills. Doing quite well and small changed become a habit.
Have a good evening All x

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedMonday was a dreary, damp day & all I did was watch TV 😉 DSis went & picked up my DH’s prescription meds. The pulled muscle? is causing enough pain to distract DH from the shingles itching 😔 DH & I had hm soup for lunch 🤤 Dinner was burger, chips & beans for DSis. DH & I had lo spaghetti Bolognese for our dinner. Wudupa
