Woken up to some snow although Alexa said yesterday there wouldn't be any in this area.  Don't need to do school run this morning but awake early anyway.  Things still very difficult with RL.  DD in middle of very important 2 days of meetings when she tested positive for Covid - the first of her family to get it.  She feels a bit rough but hopefully it will only be a few days.  She has been unable to get any test kits in her area so I have posted her some.  This seems to be another government mess.

507 Plastic drinking bottle recycled - I dropped it on way to school (new one bought)
508 Plumber coming to do tap today after it took weeks to get the part.  They came yesterday when I was out but I hadn't received the message about the appointment. 

I have actually reached a quarter of target in three months.  Also lost a couple of pounds.  I have averaged 5252 steps a day according to phone (I have to remember to keep it in my pocket) so keeping within my 4000-7000 range. 

Quite a few frogs to deal with so will try and get on with some today.

@wort - agree with you about decluttering making things easier.  I particularly like being able to quickly lay my hands on everything if I am going away and then it is all put away or in washing machine within an hour of being home.  The same with having visitors - everything needed is to hand and soon tidied away.  I rarely find myself shoving things away out of sight which was common before.  

It is strange but satisfying to have empty or sparsely filled shelves and spaces.

@wort thank you for the reminder of what life can ve like. Yesterday my friend came in for a cuppa only as we were on walk and dd2 rang to say she hadn't got her keys (rare) so.detour home..luckily as decorating back room could say that's why.house a mess , the curtain were there but had to.cleae a sear for her and then space.for.mug. luckily good friend who is non judgmental, walked back to hers and had cuppa there- def more relaxing - lived in but clear table.and chairs.
In my room I'm going to.focus on what I want to.keep.out.for  daily.use. have more space.in drawers but used to having more out. X

I know I sound ruthless about the decluttering of my paperwork. The thing I particularly like though is that I don’t have to wade through lots of out date paperwork to find the stuff I need. 

I do keep the ‘house’ stuff separate from my ‘personal’ admin and have a lever arch file for the house stuff and a couple of box files for my personal stuff. 

My motivation stemmed from a) working in financial services for many years and knowing that T&Cs change (and companies don’t always keep copies of everything) and are useful to hang onto and b) frustration with my mum’s filing system - envelopes with notes written on the front and ‘filed’ in boxes and bags to sort later.

I too am so ruthless with paperwork, I’ve a small drawer with everything in labelled Bills & Wills, I don’t keep hard copies of most things but have photos of important stuff that I’ve saved into a folder on my phone, I just keep 12 months of important docs, cats and dogs vaccination cards, birth certs and passports. Everything else gets shredded or turned into paper spills to light the fire. I really feel uncomfortable about anyone stumbling over my private documents. Instead they sit in the cloud for access. ☺️

I’m feeling really excited that soon I’ll be going into the last 1000 to declutter in my target, I’ve been updating my no spend days but the total is frightening, I really do think that I link spending with happiness, it’s mostly food and animal products but I need to walk on it xx

@TC77 we are in a different situation in a way. One of the bedrooms upstairs is not a bedroom, it'sa storage room where everyhting that we or really I, want to keep is boxed or bagged. We have no storage except for a wadrobe and a couple of chests of drawers. I use three of my Billy bookcases for food and saucepans and kitchen equipment in the lean to and have one bookcase in the living room. We are waiting on having work done to the house the first thing which is rewiring means we have to get everything out so it's packed away ready to go to storage when the work starts.

I got fed up with all my stuff hanging around [ fabric stash = about eight big bags and boxes, now 2] and went through it like a dose of salts so really, we are kind of inlimbo until the house gets done and we can beg borrow or steal items that most people have already as storage, like dresers, or cupboards, or the like.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

Wednesday was another cold, damp day ☹️ Whatever happened to spring 😔 Made a large pot of chilli for DH & me - only the 2nd time I have made it since DSis moved in almost 4 years ago - she doesn’t eat spicy food 😖 Cleared a few more programmes from planner but I can’t seem to get motivated to do anything else at the moment 😔 Dinner was chicken & mushroom risotto, so DSis can have risotto cakes Thursday whilst DH & I have chilli 😁 Veg box delivered - potatoes, onions, cucumber, salad leaves, a large squash, spring greens, purple carrots & leeks. 
Thursday has started dull & cold 🥶 but has just started to brighten up - even the sun has come out 😁 Need to meal plan to incorporate vegetables & write shopping list for DH as a matter of urgency 😬

So good to see little wins as well as bigger ones.

I took 4 of in and outs from friends and 1 bag of my own stuff to the CS yesterday. The downstairs is a bit messy so concentrating on that today and then back to working upstairs. 

I did move DS2 yesterday. A lot of waiting for the furniture removal van the social housing people hired. He has been moved to a nicer. cleaner house with someone else from his old one. They are emptying the old one for renovations. 

He is a bit worried about the two people living in the house already who have the lean look of addicts. The house was spotless though and no smells so they may be ok.

Finished work for the week thank goodness - I can't believe how shattered I am after only working 3 1/2 days - I literally felt like I could cry with tiredness this afternoon and all I do is talk to people ! I've managed to keep up with client notes / work admin and house is tidy.  Shifted a few things around in my bedroom and its meant that I can put the 2 F&M hampers I use as storage on top of the wardrobe instead of on the floor - as nice as they are they were just cluttering the place up.
