2022 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD

@Blackberrycurved - I meant to say about admin stuff and keeping it. I used to have loads either in filing cabinet or loft boxes. Gradually reduced to bare minimum. I have a few boxes in loft which I need to keep a few years from consultancy work, late DH and MIL. The latter had been dead 15 months now but still no reply from HMRC although I'm sure we don't owe them although they might owe us say £20.
I keep a very few things in one filing drawer. eg latest insurance printed off, current car things, most recent communications from utilities and banks. I have a hard copy of council tax bill for current year as that is very useful for ID. I do keep all my HMRC stuff although I cull it regularly and information relating to my pensions. I've never missed any of the stuff I have shredded. I used to keep all sorts of leaflets and letters telling you the interest rate has gone down! but now these rarely get kept once they have been read. Like another poster said most stuff that comes through my letter box goes straight in recycling bin.
388 Credit card frog dealt with - I actually rang them and all sorted.
Next - shower, dress and cleaning.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

I started my diet seriously today. Three meals breakfast porridge, soup for lunch and ham salad for tea with raspberries and yogurt. No snacks or chocolate. Keeping busy makes it easier not to look in fridge. I looked up how many steps I should do and it suggested 4000-7000 a day was fine at my age. My phone records this automatically - last week was very low. To day I have done just over 5000 so will try and keep that up. Hope to go swimming in the morning.

Grannykate I read last week that 6,000 steps is optimum, not 10,000 so that's my aim! Sorry to read about your DS2 but OMG that jigsaw would have infuriated me!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@Floss - yes I read that anything over 7000 steps was counter productive at my age.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

I'm keen to declutter inches (try not to weigh) so I can get in the many clothes I can't and then hopefully declutter some of these. My plan is to stop eating again after dinner (get bored/ want a distraction).
Stuck on the decluttering, as finding a reason to keep things and just too much stuff, but will start with recent paper work.
Have painted shelves in the alcove so I will be able to put things back (Not sure if I can make it fewer), think having missed a couple of things I have decluttered is making me very risk averse even thought difficult to get at things!
still off work so hoping to take bag to posh CS and add some more of glassware. xx8 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedMonday was a bright sunny day but rather chilly. Dealt with a month old frog - washed & reproofed DH’s winter motorcycle jacket. It is still out on the whirligig so I think I should bring it in after finishing this post 😉 I wrote my menu plan & a shopping list for DH (hadn’t been shopping for a week 👏) DH went to MrS & also filled up with petrol. Cleared down a few more programmes from TV planner. Dinner was chicken fried in butter, boiled potatoes, sweetcorn & peas. Wudupa.

GrannyKate, it is always difficult when someone you love is going through a relationship breakdown 😔 you always want to help but it is a thin dividing line between being supportive & interfering. However it sounds like you are striking just the right note & taking the children away for a couple of days should help. Excellent decluttering 👏Well done on staying in control of your paperwork 👏 & thanks for sharing your method 🙂Good luck with your weight loss 🍀 you sound determined 😉Good luck to you too Blackberrycurved 🍀
Excellent distraction cleaning & decluttering GrannyKate 👏
Thanks for the info Floss - 6,000 steps sounds more manageable 😉🙂
Yippee to negative Covid tests short_bird 🥳
TC77, like you I get bored & tend to snack. My solution will be to get my knitting out - scarves & hand warmers & beanies probably 😉 What a good idea to declutter inches 👏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟
