2022 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD

Interesting to read about paperwork people keep, I've recycled last year's car insurance papers, I tend to replace schedule each year but have changed provider.
Few days off work so went to an exercise class (decluttering inches in mind) but so noisy and saw gym quiet so asked for an induction. Clearly instructor thought I looked fitter than I am , or just thinks people must be able to lift something - kept saying lighter weights please, very aching back and shoulders and fingers crossed just not used to using those muscles rather than any damage - as usually its the next day you feel worse and don't want to be laid up. Hopefully discomfort will be decluttered tomorrow.
Last time this year on over 700 so motivated me to take out new curtains (18 months in packaging) and 3 went in CS bag, along with skirt and top and taken to CS. Other curtains and thermal linings taken down ready to wash. strategy is to start a new CS and then think I should take it asap, but as abit empty really have to hunt to add a few things so more gets decluttered. 516.
Remember decluttered some paper earlier, and two frogs moved along 519.
Thank you for my gold star Mrs SD. I can't seem to add to my signature but will try another time,8 -
Just a reminder to those with online bills & payslips to download & save somewhere else along with P60s, just in case you can't get back onto them due to a change in provider or employer.
Also, keep a copy of your previous years car insurance certificate as evidence of your NCD.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Haven’t done Friday Frog for a few weeks and haven’t finished clearing little bedroom which was supposed to have been done by the end of this month so am going to have a concerted effort on both over the next three days. Have posted this here to give me some accountability and will post an update tonight.

Decluttered the broken fridge freezer on Monday, and a big bag of soft plastics to the Tesco recycling bin yesterday. More bits into the charity bag, and a stack of old papers, magazines etc to the paper recycling.
I still have way too much stuff. I am realising just how much unnecessary stuff is taking up space in my home! Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedTuesday was a drizzly, damp & chilly day. I had to finish drying DH’s motorcycle jacket indoors but hey ho it is done now. I prepped all the ingredients for a large chilli which I will cook today. DH & I finished the hm soup for lunch. Cleared down a few more programmes from TV planner including DOI which I watched with DSis - a worthy winner even though I wanted the other person to win 😉 we had 2 very localised power cuts - a micro one which lasted less than a minute but the 2nd one was 10 minutes. Very disconcerting as we are all eclectic so not even able to boil a kettle. Dinner was oven chips, bacon & baked beans for DSis with the addition of fried eggs for DH & me. (As at 18th March, I had 30 eggs to use up so cancelled delivery for 25/3 & 1/4. Today I have a more manageable 11 & have only lost 4 - floated so put out for the foxes 😉) Wudupa.Wednesday is another damp, drizzly day ☹️ Currently having my 1st cuppa.
533 - 537 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, drinks cans, cardboard box - recycled538 - 539 Kitchen detritus, pair of DH’s Sunday socks - binned

Lovely to see you sumb7170 👋 I am very impressed with the amount of decluttering, tidying, cleaning & weight loss that has taken place even though you have been working full time 👏 I hope you have a lovely break in York & that you come back fully refreshed 🙂 Fingers crossed that you get a new contract as soon as you are ready 🤞nannywindow, thank you for the timely reminder that we should not get disheartened when our decluttering is not progressing as fast as we think it should 👏 Shame about the builder but with any luck an enforced break will help him to finish your job quickly & efficiently when he returns fully refreshed 😉🍀 Excellent decluttering & well done on keeping up with your stores inventory 👏Excellent work Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 Keeping on top of the daily decluttering tasks is a great way to keep the clutter down 👏
GrannyKate, RL might be intruding but you are getting a lot of decluttering done 👏 Shame about the jacuzzi being broken but well done on starting your new exercise regime 👏florianatwobob, you really have had a busy couple of days 🙂 I am pleased to hear that you are now ‘safe’ in your own home 👏 My DH would have been down on the floor with you learning about electrics 😉 I am still in the club of thinking electricity is magic 🤣
EnergyShifter, don’t do yourself down - keeping on top of work admin & house tidying is a major win 👏I am also finding the conversation about how we deal with paperwork very interesting, TC77. Well done on getting a gym induction & hopefully you haven’t done any damage 🤞Keep up the good work 👏

@-taff having done your major declutter how has it changed things - easier to clean and more time to do other things?
Today no painting but met a friend for a walk and cuppa another walk and cuppa and thinking I want to spend more time with friends. Some paper decluttered, and folders made, email re important frog, a few calls and another email drafted - count as 5 new total 524.
Hoping I can pass on some of my stash of stationery. Abit concerned that DD2 has inherited some of my collecting traits so more important to tackle mine and set a good example.....
Very conscious in couple of weeks go to my dad's to start to sort his out ...my brother who has abit more time is doing more of the paperwork.
Given up on roofer coming back with a quote..he has done neighbours so feeling abit jinxed but lovely DIY person rang and will definitely be round so looking to add to my list.
Just ordered the filler I need to continue with decorating so hopefully more done tomorrow before back to work Friday.6 -

About this, entirely a wonderful feeling now my days off work are spent doing things I want to do. Tidying is quick and simple as everything has already been put back after use like with like. I can read ,sit in the garden, meet with friends ,catch up with family. They say life’s too short for housework, which if our homes are clutter free can mean housework is easy and life is not put on hold.I hope everyone can get to the point of enjoying life, you are all making good inroads into your clutter. Well done xFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.8
