No work today and nothing else planned either so I'm going to make a start on 2022's decluttering. Lots to do. Xmas decs away first, starting with binning the lights which have finally died. I won't be replacing them as I have a set of battery ones for the tree and a little light up ornament. That's enough at my age.
I've said this before but I'm determined to get the job done this year.
I'm another who hides behind planning spreadsheets, but I also use one to keep daily tabs on my financial position so am using that as my excuse!
I had a couple of hours of trying-on & keeping-or-chucking yesterday and have large blue ikea bags 3/4 full for both charity shop and selling. Sadly I have lots more to do but I did cull a couple of small handbags that my phone won't fit into & a few things from the ironing pile that I obviously haven't missed!
I will join again and hope to post at least weekly. I will aim for 2022 things leaving the house.
I would like my home to become a place where I may feel calm.
Some things have left the house in the last couple of days which I'm going to include here.
1-4 weights which DS1 took home. He also took 5 headphones and 6 ski helmet. 7-8 tennis rackets were taken by DS2 9-10 printers 11 a tie 12 shredding. 13 lots of packaging out for recycling
Did absolutely nothing yesterday except talk to a cousin I hadn't seen for years....for over 3 hours !
Other than get up at the crack of dawn for supermarket shopping, come home, put everything away, I gave myself the day off.
But today it all changes.
I would like to add something else to my goals for this year. Whilst with my Dad I was completely aware that I was comfort and stress eating. I had thought that I had put on at least a stone if not 2. I cared but not enough to stop. Just glad that the awareness was present. Surprised yesterday as I had put on weight but only 5 pounds. But that is on top of the 4 stone that is excess weight. So I want to be realistic and am aiming to lose 3 stone this year. 42 pounds if my maths is correct. I will weigh myself on the first of the month, every month. And record it here if that's ok with everyone. I HAVE to keep things simple so joining a weight loss thread is too much for me.
So my goals are:
70 bags
42lbs
As many frogs as I can identify
Mountains of debt (am on the frugal thread, can manage that)

Mrs SD I’m with you on AB tho mine is ABfriends ! probably what is worse is Solitaire ( Patience ) happy to report that I haven’t played that this year !,
Not sure if there is a right way to do this campaign but can't keep count of everything that leaves the house so I am going to monitor my hours spent doing it.
Very impressed by keeping kitchen tidy at night. I think I used to do that but is a bit overwhelming at the moment. One area I've asked DD2 to help with but excuse is revising. Waiting to hear if I can take her to see her grandad. Home allows 3 named visitors which he has and my brother isn't enrolled on their pcr essential care giver. We both love some way away , me 2.5/3 hour and brother 1.5/2. DD2 didn't go out Nye so she could see grandad. Next chance is prob half term so going to call soon. If not will use time to clean and declutter before BTW Tuesday.
Today may be putting things in their proper home and like with like.- a step in realising abundance and then letting go.
Can I join please? I'm moving in February and need to downsize my stuff I'm going to aim to make some money by selling bits and bobs. The aim is £2022 in 2022....I might be aiming high, but every penny counts! Thanks for the inspiration
Yesterday I sorted through food cupboards and got rid of any out of date stuff. Today is wardrobe!

Morning DeClutterers 👋 Today is the day before the school term starts here so I have my Grandchildren today & over night for the next two nights, so it’s going to be a calm restful day Lego building and walking. I’ve taken the dog for a walk to the clothes bank already and dropped in
2 Pairs of slipper that have a very minimal sole, due to the puppy teething but washed are ok for bulking out a scraps bag of fabric by weight
1 pair of age 3 knickers which were so cute and tiny but are outgrown by several years.
I’ve sold some things on eDay but they won’t leave the house until tomorrow at the earliest so I’m at 2017/2022
@balabooberlies I’m with you on the weight loss, can I join you please? I can weigh in tomorrow, too late today as I’ve already had my brekkie 🍳
