Ditto to the self care and time to heal @TC77. That is how I got my name @Fizz2015
Well a great day yesterday. it rained and I had energy. The two don't often coincide but this was good news. After a bit of mooching in the morning and a visit to the post office I started on the upstairs. A total mess as things have got out of hand with me using nearly the whole floor as a dumping ground.
I cleared out the side of the craft room I needed to erect the spare bed which has been waiting for some weeks on the landing. I put it up myself. It is missing two slats, two legs and two nuts. I hope Ikea has them but seeing as it is me who will be sleeping on it when we have guests I will make do (maybe get the bolts as they are wasy enough. I have no matress yet.
At the back of the underneath of the bed I have put empty boxes as it is a bit unreachable and then filled the rest with organised labelled banana boxes with some of the things that were in the draws that were in that space. All like with with like now there is some organisation.
One bag of rubbish out. Books boxed to sell or to the CS onto shelves on the landing. They were removed from the craft room as no space for them. My room still a mess but the landing is clear and vacuumed. I have decided to have nothing on top of the two low shelf units we have or the landing windowsill.
There is a small amount of stuff to go in the loft and a small pile for the CS.
Today I am gardening as it is sunny and warm and back pain has eased

quick update before I get out of the habit 😊
yesterday our dog had an accident on the rug by the back door - most unlike him so something must have upset his stomach. So rug had to be washed, which meant I could see how dirty the floor was and how much stuff had accumulated in the porch.
so declutted to virtual garage/bin/recycling/cs etc
106 - 117 tins of paint/gloves/dog coats etc
@EnergyShifter you need to do what feels right for you but growing up Lent was very much a thing in our family and I have never heard anything that would make me think that you noting it here was wrong in any way. Actually you've made me think about doing it again next year after years of not bothering.
@Smoosh - hope you made it out of the cupboard13 -
Good morning. Sending love, hugs and kicks on the backside to all that need them (i definitely need the last).
I can't believe it's been over a week since I posted and I have such a tiny list.
Just a few hours after my last post we got a phone call from dd1 saying she needed to go to hospital and just 3 hours later they gave us our first granddaughter. So I've been decluttering lots of baby snuggles (and money as she was tiny at 6lb so had to go and buy her some clothes that didn't bury her).
I threw a pair of jeans the other day after wearing them all day then realising they were split all the way between the legs!
I also sent back a pair of trainers, bought last month for DD2s birthday and they didn't fit. Put them on the side and completely forgot about them. Spotted them yesterday and had 2 days left to return them so DH dropped them in this morning.
3 loads of washing on the line this morning, it really feels like spring is arriving.

731 ripped jeans

EnergyShifter said:I am going to stop counting my Lent days here - I've been reading about Lenten practices (I'm really new to this) and apparently it's not the done thing to tell people what you are doing - I guess it's so as not to advertise your piety. In my case it wasn't about showing piety - I was just posting to stay strong as I'm finding it a real struggle. But now I've read that it doesn't feel right to continue recording them.
Have a good day everyone ☀️
Please don't feel you have to stop, particularly if you are struggling. My understanding of Lenten faith is limited, but I'm fairly sure we are supposed to help each other in our struggles. This group is possibly one of the least judgemental places you could find on the 'web...
I understand if you choose not to because of this practice, but if you need a moment, we will be here.
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I'm sat with our kitten on my lap (Well she's 2 in July but our youngest). We installed 3 drawers in our utility room shelf units this week so 2 more boxes emptied and we have designated drawers for gardening and DIY bits.As rugby fans my wife and I will be watching on the sofa all Saturday but will also be sorting through so we will achieve as well. We'll have a tip trip Sunday to clear more rubbish from the utility room too. Plan to finish the final bit of the home gym floor so can clear the off cuts too.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Well hello.Congratulations Charlie’s-tribe. A beautiful little baby to spoil. Xxx
Don’t over do it again bit by bit. As you know I am a big fan of a banana box😂.I am still entombed in scaffolding. Half a roof done. The roofers have disappeared again. 🤦♀️I am booking trades people in to get some work done on the house. More plug sockets needed every where and a plasterer to board and skim our bedroom ceiling. Currently it is artex. Whatever I do with the house either holiday let or sell it I think artex will not tempt people.I have done some jobs from my to do list but a lot of time has been taken up with MIL. She came out of hospital and promptly fell again. She is back in hospital currently.A few items have left. A few items have come in. I pushed the boat out and treated myself to a 3 pack of socks. I also bought a dress for the wedding we are going to. I was trying it on the other morning and the roofers knocked at the door. He just looked me up and down. I carried on as if I wear a long orange dress every day.57. 2 hand towels donated to work.59. 2 internal doors given away.80. 21 bags of rubble to tip
81. Barbecue. Tip. Left behind by tenant. Bits missing.Vx:9 -

Hello all, hope everyone is well, huge hugs if not, my hug bucket runneth over for anyone in need 🧡
Today I disposed of yet another frying pan that DH has ruined 😠 but I've bought a replacement, not that use it much myself, also out an ironing board cover which I've replaced too, I don't use that much either 😂 'cos I hate ironing ! I have put all the packaging in the recycling and in the rag bag another T.shirt, this is the second in a week, and 2 odd mugs have gone into the cs bag. Today I have re-cluttered a 16kg bag of bread flour, but now I'll have to stop myself snaffling all the fresh bread 😭 The weight loss is not going as fast as I'd like.
Charlies Tribe congrats on the birth of your first granddaughter, hope she and mum are well.
Vulpix I feel your pain re the builders, ours was supposed to come Monday, then today and now it's tomorrow apparently. I'm fed up living in a constant builders yard. Sorry MIL is back in hospital, that must be such a worry.
Bit by bit my goodness that's almost half a bed missing ! I hope they will replace the missing parts or better still give you a complete new bed !
Take care all
