I got some steps in yesterday as I walked from school to bus stop to get home. DD arrived shortly afterwards and although she was working throughout day we went out for a lovely meal in the evening. She left early this morning and I walked round village to get bread and a few bits. Then went to sleep in TLC carriage for a few hours!

The roof is mended and the boiler is working. Hurray! I have got to work for an hour or so this evening because I spent so long this morning chatting with builder and plumber, or making cups of tea or coffee, but at least I'll be able to feel my toes now the heating is on.
I need to do some of the household paperwork I've been looking at in its pile on the floor, I might do a bit later. I have added a bit of a frog to list as student finance has opened applications for 22/23, so need to sit and do that with DD soon. I am on year 4 of doing this as already done 3 years worth for DS. Almost an expert.
House is reasonably tidy. Other than my bits of paper/lists/reminders dotted about. A list consolidation exercise is needed, or perhaps I should spend the time actually completing items on lists instead.

Roommate who brought in the dog cleaned up the potting soil that the dog had spread around - unfortunately on the walkway. Wouldn't have minded if it was on the planted areas. May have to put up a fence around the vegetable gardening area so can plant this year. The husky loves to race around the yard and stand in the pool on the top step. Roommate also replaced the outside light bulb and cleaned up the "smoking" area out front! Only taken a year to get this done. They are changing our electric meter today, so dog is inside for a few hours. Tomorrow we go to the library to start setting up for the next book sale. Have a box of books to take in as well as some extra boxes to get them out of the house. Managed to watch a zoom meeting this morning with only about four interruptions. Autistic roommate is really excited about book her mother sent her and is coming in to tell me all about it every few minutes. It's either what she is reading, drawing, or is finding on TicTok, but I don't want to stop being excited about things. She came out here just as the pandemic hit and doesn't have any friends yet out here. She talks a lot with family and friends back in Missouri. She will probably go back there in a couple of years as she missed her sisters. Tomorrow's zoom meeting I will watch on delayed video as need to take someone to the doctor at the same time. These are how-to videos on using the Family Search Library's programs and you can watch them via video in the Family Search Library's Facebook page if anyone is working on their family tree.10

Mrs SD, no I didn't sing out loud, only in my head. We have the middle section of the wardrobe in bedroom two where we keep books, maps and jigsaw puzzles. It is narrower because of the chimney breast jutting out. Hope you enjoy organising your books and yarn once all is done.I haven't made any rice pudding but today, Had day off today. I have made two carrot cakes, four eggs in each. The first one, I forgot to put the walnuts in so, of course, I had to make a second one. DH pounced on the first cake when it had only been out of the oven for five minutes and cut himself a HUGE slice. After, I had a slice, he then went back for seconds, saying that he had to tidy the cake up. Half of the cake gone!!! The other half is on the EDT.
Also, spent the day cleaning - pulling the dining table out and cleaning under / around it. Cleaned downstairs windows (inside) plus washed all the downstairs light fittings. Washed kitchen cupboard doors (this I do weekly). Cleaned toaster, descaled the kettle. Washed some skirting boards (Bain of my life!); washed bannister.
Cut the crosswords / Sudoku from weekend papers (from BIL). We use some of his old papers a veg bin liners, rather than buy vegetable compost bags.
From 3pm sat down and chilled out in front of the tv.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Mrs_Salad_Dodger said:1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed“I will return in an hour or so to cheerlead 😉” Posted at 12:02 😱 I obviously work in my very own time zone 🤣Monday started bright & sunny & a tad warmer but gradually got colder & darker & is now raining ☹️ The X-frame laundry hamper has been wiped down & is now in the bedroom, hidden behind the first Ik*a Kall*x storage unit that DH built. It has been laid horizontally & will have the 2nd unit put on top when DH builds it & affixes it to the wall. Meanwhile I have given the window sill it’s initial clean - removing paint splashes & clearing away excess silicone sealant. I made a soup using up lots of bendy vegetables & a few los from fridge. As the plumbing repair has proved successful 🥳 I thoroughly cleaned the under sink cupboard inside & out. Started to return items but am writing a list of contents & will start using up & not replacing various cleaning sprays. The upper shelf is done & I will tackle the lower shelf later/tomorrow. Dinner was fried chicken & mushroom risotto cakes with lettuce to cut the richness. Wudupa.

You do have to put up with such a lot weenancyinAmerica 😔 & are handling everything so well that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Good luck with tackling your frogs 🍀 You have taken the first step by listing them 👏TC77, shame about the film but good to catch up with your friends 🙂 I see you have a plan for your clothes, hopefully you will soon be in a position to get at least one set paint spattered 😉 Great decluttering & well done on the extra digging 👏 Love the idea of meeting up with all your cousins to share photos & memories of the older generation - a true celebration of their lives 🙂Welcome aboard The EDT merrysmiles 👋 Great work so far 👏 Hopefully with our encouragement & (virtual) support, you will be able to tackle your spare room of doom 😉Thanks for the hugs.Nice to know that you missed the storms retiredinfrance & are safe 🙂 Isn’t it wonderful when the decluttering mood grabs you 🥳 and well done for running with it 👏 I love your NI expression “I caught myself on” Something new I have learned 🙂 & far more poetic than ‘I saw sense’ 😅accidentalglixch, no apology needed - when I mentioned ‘constructive dismissal’ it was to highlight that you were put into the position where you felt you had no choice but to leave. Lovely memories of your Nan & the funeral sounds like it was a celebration of her life 🙂Love that Remi is calming down & becoming a dog rather than a rampant puppy 😄 Good decluttering 👏 even if most of it is Remi-centric 😉 As to the garden perhaps 5/10 minutes at a time 😉 rather than dealing with it all in one go.Guineapigsqueaks, I am also deliberately Not watching the news - I get my info from DH who tries to look in the less obvious places. However the whole situation is depressing & our government seems to be making things worse with their crass ineptitude 😖 I have one of those lists - I cross one thing off & add two 😔 Well done on enjoying the better weather rather than dealing with paperwork 👏
Excellent work florianatwobob, you have been very busy 👏 I have almost the same approach to non food gardening - I leave plants to their own devices & then prune harshly when they start getting ugly/crowded 😉 I just caught a bit of newsnight about the situation in Ukraine for an ordinary family - I am indescribably sad about the whole thing and feeling so helpless. So well done you for doing something 👏
bit_by_bit, love spoons & little birds - beautiful carvings 😊 do you have any pictures that you could share? Another one making the most of the better weather 👏
nannywindow, hopefully there will be some NGOs who will set up ways for us to help.
Excellent decluttering 👏 Thanks for the new books in The TLC Carriage 🙂
I will be back shortly 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

And hope you all take care of yourselves and others during this time 💜
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger ah yeah exactly
Thank you - had a bit of a moment there, I forgot what Constructive dismissal was for a second there 😅
New job is going well so far and its helping me get into a better routine with the house and Remi. And making some friends already. This job seems more thought out, supportive, planned and very work life balanced
Also thanks for the tip about do bit by bit, I went out last night and picked up half to put with this weeks rubbish , other half i will need to put in garden gloves as the rest is caught on thorny bush.
🙌👏Remi went on his first proper walk with us today, for a good 10-15minutes up our road. Been a long 2 months to get there but so rewarding!
Aha maybe he's "Decluttering his attitude lmao no he is a sweet soul and miss some of his cheekiness but will be for his own good i suppose.
🧼Decluttering round up🧼
#10 - Bag of garden rubbish
#11 - 2 weeks worth of recycling (i forgot)
#12 - Broken toilet roll holder
#13 - Bathroom bin emptied (im so embarrassed by this, I keep forgetting its there tucked behind the door 🤣)
I still need to
* put 3 bags of washing away
* put a bag of wet stuff on the airer from today (a lot of events happened and I didn't get time)
* re-wash stuff in washing machine as electric in kitchen tripped for the day so unsure if done/half done/just wet😅
*remove rest of garden waste
*pack up previous companies equipment to give back
*sort by front door
* clear the washing basket OR dirty washing bag in next 2 weeks (hard as no tumble dryer so washing builds up faster then I can wash it!)
Think that'll keep me busy for a few days!🗑️Mission Declutter & Clean 2022🧼 - 105 Items
Onto building a life I love x11 -
I am feeling rather proud 😊 of myself as I have decluttered an inherited, long standing frog. 🐸It’s a long post so feel free to skip over my ramblings! When our mum died, along with the house, we took over various of the accounts including the energy account. One of the less loveable quirks of the house is the electricity meter which was programmed ‘the wrong way round’ and a dual rate meter. Now, despite many official meter readers being aware of this and having taken meter readings over many years I inherited Mum’s nagging sense of doubt that at some point we were going to get an unexpected bill correcting the issue.Anyway yesterday we had an unexpected meter reader arrive (he was legit) for the first time since at least 2018. His readings yet again agreed with my historic readings which was a comfort. And whilst making a throwaway comment to him about the programming it turns out that a lot of the meters in my road are programmed the wrong way round (there had been a bulk upgrade of meters at the same time 30ish years ago) which was rather interesting to me as you can imagine.Today I got notification of my predicted energy costs (gulp) which also told me if I upgrade my meter I can save the giddy amount of £2.98 over the year. We have also recently moved onto the standard variable rate which is a single rate for day and night this getting rid of that pesky dual rate issue. All of this seemed like a prime opportunity to finally rid myself of the headache and nagging sense of doom the current electricity meter brings. So I was big and brave and spent 40 mins in a phone queue while working so I could speak to someone about changing the meter. We will now have all singing and dancing Smart meters being installed 28th March.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
