Hi folks.I had my Grandma’s tea set on some shelves when my kids were very young. First casualty was with a plastic sword. Glued it back together and artfully arranged. Second attack was the other child with a fishing net on a cane. I tried to mend it but it was beyond help. My Mum thinks it is in the loft. I am very guilty about it.Slow progress here. I am still distributing other peoples things.
DD2 has moved into her house. Took furniture that was stored in MIL’s garage.
MIL still in hospital.
DD1 is on the main island as of this morning. Epic ferry crossing. Covid free. She starts work tomorrow. I had to clear her house of some stuff she couldn’t cram into the car and let the tenants in. I am now in possession of house plants and a shark vacuum that I don’t need!Mr V has Covid. He is on holiday though and he isn’t poorly so I want to get some jobs done with his help.Slight progress with the stream at the side of the house. Council came and dug the culvert out a bit so water is flowing into a drain. Still ongoing to get a permanent solution. We have scaffolding but still no roofers. They are busy repairing storm damage.I have managed to give my new fencing a coat of paint. When I have done the door and sanded and painted the frame and it is all assembled I will post a pic.35. Bag of coat hangers DD1
36. Garden bench sold.Love to read your posts.

Just thought I'd say I'm doing 1 item a day for March, so by April I will have "binned" 31 items cluttering up draws and cupboards, I have a plastic box to fill with these said items and then chuck them as I go.
If this is successful I'll carry on for April.Baby Step 6/7 . £16000 saved and invested. £47,000 deposit paid on new home DEBT FREE !!!

I still haven't put everything away, and when I do, there will be more casualties finding their way to the CS bag or onto a sales website...

TC77 said:Gosh @Gem-gem impressed you could carry it all home. Lewisham market is my local - very short walk and invested in a trolley to carry my purchases back. i hadn't noticed squashes (think DD2 said she doesn't like) but will look again.
There is a refugee /homeless project about 5 minutes from the market and I dropped off large stash of my dad's clothes - did try to pack in my trolley and balance bags but had to drive there in the end. Some ood food, a next step for a frog and abit more work in the front garden 332
I have looked out some more glassware for decluttering
Lovely to hear tales of everyone using their pretty and vintage crockery

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed“I will return in an hour or so to cheerlead 😉” Posted at 12:02 😱 I obviously work in my very own time zone 🤣Monday started bright & sunny & a tad warmer but gradually got colder & darker & is now raining ☹️ The X-frame laundry hamper has been wiped down & is now in the bedroom, hidden behind the first Ik*a Kall*x storage unit that DH built. It has been laid horizontally & will have the 2nd unit put on top when DH builds it & affixes it to the wall. Meanwhile I have given the window sill it’s initial clean - removing paint splashes & clearing away excess silicone sealant. I made a soup using up lots of bendy vegetables & a few los from fridge. As the plumbing repair has proved successful 🥳 I thoroughly cleaned the under sink cupboard inside & out. Started to return items but am writing a list of contents & will start using up & not replacing various cleaning sprays. The upper shelf is done & I will tackle the lower shelf later/tomorrow. Dinner was fried chicken & mushroom risotto cakes with lettuce to cut the richness. Wudupa.
317 - 320 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, large cardboard box, cardboard packaging - recycled
321 - 322 Kitchen detritus, damaged washing bag - binned
You do have to put up with such a lot weenancyinAmerica 😔 & are handling everything so well that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Good luck with tackling your frogs 🍀 You have taken the first step by listing them 👏TC77, shame about the film but good to catch up with your friends 🙂 I see you have a plan for your clothes, hopefully you will soon be in a position to get at least one set paint spattered 😉 Great decluttering & well done on the extra digging 👏 Love the idea of meeting up with all your cousins to share photos & memories of the older generation - a true celebration of their lives 🙂Welcome aboard The EDT merrysmiles 👋 Great work so far 👏 Hopefully with our encouragement & (virtual) support, you will be able to tackle your spare room of doom 😉Thanks for the hugs.Nice to know that you missed the storms retiredinfrance & are safe 🙂 Isn’t it wonderful when the decluttering mood grabs you 🥳 and well done for running with it 👏 I love your NI expression “I caught myself on” Something new I have learned 🙂 & far more poetic than ‘I saw sense’ 😅accidentalglixch, no apology needed - when I mentioned ‘constructive dismissal’ it was to highlight that you were put into the position where you felt you had no choice but to leave. Lovely memories of your Nan & the funeral sounds like it was a celebration of her life 🙂Love that Remi is calming down & becoming a dog rather than a rampant puppy 😄 Good decluttering 👏 even if most of it is Remi-centric 😉 As to the garden perhaps 5/10 minutes at a time 😉 rather than dealing with it all in one go.Guineapigsqueaks, I am also deliberately Not watching the news - I get my info from DH who tries to look in the less obvious places. However the whole situation is depressing & our government seems to be making things worse with their crass ineptitude 😖 I have one of those lists - I cross one thing off & add two 😔 Well done on enjoying the better weather rather than dealing with paperwork 👏
Excellent work florianatwobob, you have been very busy 👏 I have almost the same approach to non food gardening - I leave plants to their own devices & then prune harshly when they start getting ugly/crowded 😉 I just caught a bit of newsnight about the situation in Ukraine for an ordinary family - I am indescribably sad about the whole thing and feeling so helpless. So well done you for doing something 👏
bit_by_bit, love spoons & little birds - beautiful carvings 😊 do you have any pictures that you could share? Another one making the most of the better weather 👏
nannywindow, hopefully there will be some NGOs who will set up ways for us to help.
Excellent decluttering 👏 Thanks for the new books in The TLC Carriage 🙂
I will be back shortly 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

I am loving this conversation about inherited china 😊
Good for you stellata👏 You have reminded us all that we deserve to use our nice things 🙂You too Gem-gem - using it rather than hiding it 👏 The newly decorated bedroom is coming along nicely - when DH builds the 2nd Kall*x unit I will have fun organising my yarn 😂 & should have plenty of space for the few books I have kept + hopefully a set of bedding. We have two bedside cabinets to refurbish to match the rest of the decor & then just need to decide what pictures (maybe a mirror) to put up on the walls. What a lovely day out - posh tea 🤞& a theatre trip - did you sing along 😉 What a haul at Lewisham market 👏🙂 I hope some of the rice pudding will make its way to The EDT buffet car 😉Wow 2Scratters - you are on a roll 🤩 Decluttering has become a way of life 👏 I am awarding you a medal 🏅 for creating space in your “junk” drawer & trying to create even more space 👏 You & your DH have definitely earned some time in The TLC Carriage - a bit of pampering & you & DH will be ready for your next round of decluttering 😉TC77, can you please let me know the name of the refugee/homeless project in Lewisham. I would like to see if there is anything I could donate - sadly I have been a bit remiss over the last 2 years 😔 Good work decluttering 👏 & good luck with your next round of glassware decluttering 🍀
GrannyKate, sounds like a lovely weekend spent with your family 😊 I like the bartering of services between you & DS2 😉👏 Don’t forget that the buffet car has more substantial fare on offer if you get tired of the chocolate & cakes in The TLC Carriage 😉Floss, your German porcelain tea-set sounds precious 🙂 and as for your Midnight Bloomporcelain, I looked it up & it is beautiful 😍 Your cat must be a bit cold now 😂 Excellent decluttering & what a stupendous amount of monies from sales 👏
Excellent work bit_by_bit 👏 I think all that work outside has recharged your batteries for the inside decluttering - all that Vitamin D 🙂 Good luck with the boxes & bags 🍀
nannywindow, shame about the socks ☹️ Are you sure you haven’t got ‘freezer gremlins’ - not only messing up the freezer contents but hiding your list 😉 As to the chocolate, you just have to ask 🙂EnergyShifter, I have joined you in the ‘melting utensils club’ - 323 melted fish slice ☹️Oh dear vulpix ☹️ I hope your Mum isn’t on the MSE forums 😱 Sorry to hear that your MiL is still in hospital ☹️ but great news that your DD1 is not only Covid free but also on the main island 👏🥳 She must be so excited 😆 Sorry to hear that MrV has Covid but fingers crossed that he doesn’t get poorly 🤞At least there is some movement re the stream & everything crossed that a permanent solution will be found 🤞 I am looking forward to seeing the pic 🙂
Welcome aboard Andyjflet 👋 What a great plan - 1 a day for March & WHEN you are successful continuing into April 👏 Please remember to report back 🙏 I see you have already inspired bargainbetty 👏
Great decluttering bargainbetty 👏
Well done on Month 2 of no social media EnergyShifter - medal 🏅 on its way 👏 Enjoy your time in The TLC Carriage 🙂

For anyone wishing to help children in Ukraine, If you have a Marks and Spencer loyalty card “sparks” card if you change your charity on it to Unicef, Marks are doubling the donation for all of March. The fund will help ensure children have access to critical health supplies, clean water, blankets etc.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.13
