@wort We have odd dining chairs. If one breaks then it doesn't matter trying to find a replacement. Plus our friends range from 5ft 2 and thin to 6ft5 and built like an outhouse. Everyone has different needs and likes too. They will have matching seat covers to bring them all together.Gave a video tour of our home to one of our friends and her response was to comment on the stack of boxes in our top floor landing. Looks like we need to find shelves and a unit for them to live in as they are mostly books, dvd's and kitchen stuff we need to sort.May you find your sister soon Helli.
Sleep well.10 -
@wort thank you. we get through lots of mugs and bowls and I realise the large old fashioned soup bowls will be lovely for pasta and dishes likely to spill over
Very wise about the white crockery. I have wrapped some coffee cups and sauces and very large glass serving bowl ready to take to CS. With everything going on they can use everything they can have. I have a brand new washing up bowl that doesn't fit my sink! I think this should be given to someone who can use it. Taking some of my dad's things to the refugee project on Sunday.

Hi fellow declutterers.
I have nothing to report as decluttered at the moment. I was given 6 bags for the CS yesterday and a bag for me. Will sort and get rid of but not counting in the numbers.
Although I haven't been decluttering the house I have been working on my allotment getting rid of some jobs I have put off ( or been putting off because the weather) Progress is being made. Yesterday I picked up a load of cherry branches from MiL to finish a fence I made at the plot. The rest of the wood is being chopped for firewood but some choice bits are going to a wood carver friend.
The van is full of wood right now but once removed DD furniture will go back in. She is STILL waiting to hear about her houseshare. The agency which the house is rented through wants one of them to have been in full time paid work for 3 years, They all only left uni last year so no chance!
Anyway. Off to sort these bags out and unload the van before my CS stint this afternoon.
Take care everyone. Hugs to all those in need.

Morning all, hope you are well, my hug bucket is full should you be in need.
I have decluttered my boating holiday and I managed not to fall overboard ! We all had a great time and everyone would go again, except SiL sadly 🤨. DD and DGS took to it like the proverbial duck and loved it. Highlight of the hols was DH ( who had been before and knew what had to be done ) trying to moor up and keep the boat next to the bank while Sil and DD struggled with the ropes in gale force winds and torrential rain, scary stuff ! The other moment was watching Sil being worried/ wooed (?) by a swan while trying to untie us, it wouldn't let him back on board 😧 luckily DD was the swan whisperer and gently shooed it away. If we do manage another one DGS will be older and more able to help with the ropes, it takes 2 strong fit people to do that, so that's me out before we start. I know my limits and was on galley duty all week manning the kettle and snacks, I didn't have to do much else to do as we ate our main meals in lovely riverside pubs everyday. Today I'm in the middle of decluttering the washing mountain and putting things away. Sadly I fell off the EDT and hit the bookshop on the way there oops ! Why do they put a Sm*ths in the services ? I'll go and sit on the naughty step after I've finished the washing 😁
I did declutter about 20 emails last night though so I'm back on board the EDT.
Take care all

One bag of bits to the charity shop today as planned and picked up some bits of shopping. Took a mooch round our local craft and farmers market. Lots of nice things but none that I could justify spending money on or that I couldn’t do myself.Tonight I am out for dinner with friends followed by an Indie music disco. We will relive our teenage years! We have been before (as it’s held roughly every 6 months) and it’s a great night out.Tomorrow (body willing) is a gardening day. I have compost and I’m not afraid to use it! 😉✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

In essence it said enjoy your lovely bedroom Mrs SD. And weenancy I would be furious in your shoes about the husky. It would have to go to husky rescue if it were me. They need a lot of care and you have more than enough on your hands already.Like the term abundance TC77.

Hi fellow declutterers
It's great to read of all your progress, it keeps me on track and motivated, I will get this house sorted this year!!!
My chair covers are finished and in place and, if I do say so, they look very professionalI've attacked the PC this week as well (not literally) and have tidied up the filing system, deleted more emails and emptied the recycle bin. It's running a bit quicker now.
Mrs SD - glad you are pleased with your new carpet and decorating
I'm up to 363 items now, nearly a quarter of the way there...
Keep going everyone.

Still carrying on with the no spend days, but tonight will be a spend day as I'm off to see Echo And The Bunnymen... yes, they're still going‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

I was a bit side tracked this morning as OH's car decided not to start. So my little car did the running about first thing instead. We were worried it was the fancy remote key fob/start stop set up/electronics, but when the chap from rescue service arrived, he got it jump started straight away. Trip to Halfords for a new battery and £150 lighter and all is (hopefully) well.
After all that, I didn't get back on track as much as I'd like. I did move a small box of stuff into my car boot for next drop at CS. Towels, bathmats, shower curtain all laundered, plus a load of OH's work gear. Fetched milk from farm shop. Hoovered through, recycling out. Finished online food shop. Sat on my derriere ever since.
