Re old China from grandmas, I laugh at myself sometimes as I spent years using really quite horrible plates with a sideboard full of unused pretty ones. A while ago I decided to use the nice ones day to day, binned all the cracked or chipped stuff, charity shopped the dull but ok things, and now I eat everything off pretty floral plates, every day. I've broken a few but hey that's decluttering, and if 11 people suddenly drop in they can still all have matching plates.Magnolia Stellata17

Evening all,
We have old China from Nan, grandma and from DH mum - we use it all, no longer is it laying unused in cupboards.Mrs SD hope you are enjoying your new bedroom.
Went to the theatre on Thursday and saw The Jersey Boys. Decluttered JL tea and cafe beforehand in Oxford Street. 😋
Friday after work, DH and I went to Lewisham market and bought all this for £13.50. Stewed the plums down and froze them; made broccoli and Stilton soup - froze half; made two lasagnas, froze one, had the other with h/m coleslaw. Chopped 2/3rds of the peppers and froze.
Today on a walk, popped into two shops and got 7x 500ml of whole milk for 14p each. 👏👏👏 will use to make rice pudding; ice-cream and other desserts.Over the weekend, dDecluttered washing and ironing; Washed the car (saved £10);Gave DH a hair cut (saved £10). Have also crocheted a toy lamb's body.
On the decluttering front - continued to keep the daily clutter down, post, kitchen plastics straight into the bin.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Hello Peeps,
Well managed to declutter some items from the bottom of the wardrobe. There are some (old) new items back in circulation, 1 particular jumper DH bought me over 34 years ago (I know its been carried and stored many times) I loved it then and still do now, even more surprising is that I can fit in it OK. They have all been freshened up and those that don't fit are going to the CS without being ironed. (Can't afford for them to be here any longer) Will get DH to do an errand tomorrow for some waterproofing spray to finish off 2 coats. I'll be on teams for the next 2 full days
DH made a sale on FB -MP so some space made in the shed for him.
DH also decluttered a frog of a telephone call re his claim for ESA.
Large bag of shredded paper generated and collected by a young girl later in the day.
Large thick plastic empty dog food bag moved to outside - being saved for a 2nd purpose in life to collect and store rubble when we start on the kitchen extension.
Noticed in the "junk" drawer the amount of space that has appeared in there - weird. It just goes to show throwing even the smallest of items over a period of time has an impact. Still look for another item to be removed permanently from said location.
Into the bin some sort of cheap and useless cardigan (ok it is too small for me) and didn't even keep me warm.
Got a lovely M n S bra lined up for the CS bag (currently in the wash). It doesn't stay on my shoulders as they are not wide enough. 2 new ones purchased via the boy in the bay.
Decluttered some dust and half a dog by hoovering up.
Finally purposed some designer tins that were given to me.
Food baking cupboard getting tidier and most items in date!!
Need a breather on the TLK carriage, I can't believe how little statements can have an impact on decisions, thanks to all you lovely people xx

Gosh @Gem-gem impressed you could carry it all home. Lewisham market is my local - very short walk and invested in a trolley to carry my purchases back. i hadn't noticed squashes (think DD2 said she doesn't like) but will look again.
There is a refugee /homeless project about 5 minutes from the market and I dropped off large stash of my dad's clothes - did try to pack in my trolley and balance bags but had to drive there in the end. Some ood food, a next step for a frog and abit more work in the front garden 332
I have looked out some more glassware for decluttering
Lovely to hear tales of everyone using their pretty and vintage crockery
Hugs to all,x9 -
Not much decluttering at the weekend. DD here tonight so will probably go out for a meal this evening. Going to take GCDs to school and loan DS2 my car for 2 days so coming home on bus. Its free but I may get wet looking at weather. Started a new free on line course on Scottish Clan History today. I took cardboard and other stuff to recycling on way home for DS2 but won't count that as not my clutter. He did wash my car.

I have my parents white German porcelain tea-set, but it is tucked up in the top cupboard of my glass-doored Billy cabinets. My everyday crockery is Sainsbury's white porcelain & best is Sainsbury's Midnight Bloom porcelain - white with deep blue & purple floral design. I have loads of that as when married we would have up to 10 people around the table.
I decluttered half a cat outside the other day with her brush, I could have knitted at least a kitten from it, but left it for nesting birds (the irony of them using their predators fur to line their nests!)
Yesterday I took a few more things to the chazzer, and have had another £200+ sales on Ebay this week.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedApologies, we fell off the page 1 😱 Just a quick one before my iPad charge runs out 🙂Sunday was a gloriously sunny day but still chilly. DH took the bedroom door off it’s hinges & we carried it down to the garage. DH took about 0.5” off the bottom, we carried it back upstairs & DH rehung it. Perfect fit & glides smoothly over the new carpet👏 DH also used his new compost turning tool on both compost bins - he is a happy bunny 🤣 I washed the last of the bedding - the duvet cover - and got it mostly dried on the whirligig. Finished off in the td. I also managed a small sm trip to MrT & used up some of my vouchers (still have about £50 left 🙂) - posted cards & letters on way home. Dinner was mushroom & chicken risotto & very yummy it was too 😋 Enough left for Monday’s dinner which will be risotto cakes & lettuce. Wudupa.

Hi all. I am having a 'rest' day today as in I am not in the garden or at the allotment.
Yesterday all DD furniture finally put in the can so we have our hallway back. Sorted all the bags given to me last week for the CS. I feel a weight has been lifted so stopping in.
Already sorted a frog but already today for is housework and to construct the day bed which is a guest bed for the craft room. This has waited for a week or two but I am happy as I got so much done outside. The bed is the last large thing to do then its just hitting the boxes and bags again as they have spread around the house this last month.
Have a good day everyone

Out today a pair of DH's merino wool socks as another hole has appeared after washing. They have been darned so many times there isn't any "sock" left ! Today I'm sorting out my freezers as they are in a mess again. I'll also make a list of what's in there as I seem to have decluttered the last list from the board somewhere 🤔 I found a shared post on Faceache this morning showing where to take items for Ukraine locally, so I will look into that.
Floss your post " decluttered half a cat " etc made me laugh out loud when I realised what you meant 🤣 ( my first thought was that you'd run it over 😱 ) I'm so glad it's still whole 😻!
GrannyKate you had chocolate in the TLC carriage? I didn't find that 🍫 good job or I'd never left ! Hope you feel better. 🧡
2Scratters take your time in the TLC carriage, lovely. Many hugs coming your way. I have spent an awful lot of time in there myself lately.
Take care all
