I also went past that local furniture outlet store and saw a wooden loveseat for £69 and it was marked down from £200+. I am getting them both delivered in the next few days. Very pleased as I found exacly what I was looking for in one morning.:)
I did have a wander into another used furniture store near Shared Space yesterday. It did have some nice things so I might go around there again one day. It was quite busy though even early in the morning. They did have a garden chair there, but I can't think now how much that was.4 -

Today was a quick pop into Cancer Research the top end of town.
Came out with a jigsaw from my Amazon list, £2.25 - snapped that up!
a hardback book for DH £2.65
a paperback for me, fantasy Y/A type (seemingly gold dust round these parts) £1.50
a pair of sweat pants and a long sleeve henley top both £1 each!
Their childrens clothes seemed incredibly cheap!
Yesterday was Sue Ryder and the book raid,
9 purchased for £9 including 2 very large childrens hardbacks which should be about £9-12 each but only had books 2 & 3 so I'll keep a watch to see if book 1 appears in there.Wealth is not measured by currency5 -

On my travels today (more of my bargains later) I saw vol 1&2 of Nigel Slater's 'Tender' in hardback
Thought of goldfinches and floss.
Not sure of the price as I knew I couldn't carry them round with me.5 -

Yesterday restored my faith in the chaz. I dropped into a local one late yesterday afternoon and came out with a massive white Corningware bowl (no lid), 3 large mugs, 4 books and a pair of trousers suitable for work for £3 in total! I was most content with my haul.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
