Ooh, I haven't tried that one yet.:)Rosa_Damascena said:
You might want to head to Sue Ryder, West Road (just around the corner from SS). I've had some good furniture finds from there and am pretty sure they sell that article BN.Wednesday2000 said:I found a wicker room divider that I am going to use in place of a headboard for our bed. I saw that idea on Instagram. That was £40 and had free delivery.
I also went past that local furniture outlet store and saw a wooden loveseat for £69 and it was marked down from £200+. I am getting them both delivered in the next few days. Very pleased as I found exacly what I was looking for in one morning.:)
I did have a wander into another used furniture store near Shared Space yesterday. It did have some nice things so I might go around there again one day. It was quite busy though even early in the morning. They did have a garden chair there, but I can't think now how much that was.4 -
I don't go in there on principle. Les and Gary's, yes; a pawnbroker's - no! I can't profit from someone else's misery.Wednesday2000 said:

Today was a quick pop into Cancer Research the top end of town.
Came out with a jigsaw from my Amazon list, £2.25 - snapped that up!
a hardback book for DH £2.65
a paperback for me, fantasy Y/A type (seemingly gold dust round these parts) £1.50
a pair of sweat pants and a long sleeve henley top both £1 each!
Their childrens clothes seemed incredibly cheap!
Yesterday was Sue Ryder and the book raid,
9 purchased for £9 including 2 very large childrens hardbacks which should be about £9-12 each but only had books 2 & 3 so I'll keep a watch to see if book 1 appears in there.Wealth is not measured by currency5 -

On my travels today (more of my bargains later) I saw vol 1&2 of Nigel Slater's 'Tender' in hardback
Thought of goldfinches and floss.
Not sure of the price as I knew I couldn't carry them round with me.5 -

L'atelier pair of wine rings to stop drips. BNIB £2.00 RSPCA.

Just worked out that I visited:
6 charity shops in town 1
4 charity shops in town 2
12 charity shops in city

Started at 9am as Barnados opened and finished at 13:45 and went to the pub.
I caught 4 buses and by the time I got home my little legs and tiny feet were aching.

Yesterday restored my faith in the chaz. I dropped into a local one late yesterday afternoon and came out with a massive white Corningware bowl (no lid), 3 large mugs, 4 books and a pair of trousers suitable for work for £3 in total! I was most content with my haul.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
