General_Grant said:Wednesday2000 said:I wandered down to a shop called Shared Space in Westcliff-on-sea today. It is quite reasonable in price and I bought quite a lot in there. Two black Wallis tunic dresses, a black Primark top with white stars, a blue BHS vest top, two floaty, sheer vest tops (one blue, one black) and some black shorts. That all came to £25. I could have bought a lot more as they had a lot of nice things there. I will definitely be going there again.:) I like the way they had put all the separate colours together as I wear mostly black, blue and red. I find it annoying when charity shops jumble different colours of clothes together for some reason. I'm very pleased with the dresses as they are lightweight despite being black so they will be good in this next heatwave with some sandals.:)
I find colours are fairly evident from the hanging edge whereas the size needs closer inspection.
I know what size clothes are likely to fit me and don't do home sewing to re-size things but then I have a wider colour palette in my wardrobe.5 -
I need to go and buy a black dress this week as I tried the ones on I have at home and none are dressy enough/fit me! They will be donated. I had been keeping them for God knows what reason. Unfortunately my mother-in-law died last week (we were not close at all) so I need an outfit for her funeral.2025 GOALS

I don't tend to wear black at funerals, something dark-ish maybe.
For my Mum's funeral (who loved colour), I wore bright colours.6 -

I was actually thinking my husband could wear the Ted Baker shirt I bought him a few years ago from a chazzer as he hasn't had any reason to wear it up until now!2025 GOALS

Happy spends to report of 2 boxed games.
One of which currently retailing on Amazon for £37 and we got it for £3.
I've sorted the cards it contains into family appropriate and separated out what's not. So I foresee some good fun times with 'What do you Meme'
The second, also £3 is a 5 Second Rule Mini Game, retailing from £8-10, looks barely touched.
We'll be scheduling some 'Game Nights' I thinkWealth is not measured by currency9 -
I went back to the same charity shop yesterday and bought a few bits.
An oversize navy "Love" slogan top for £1.70 to wear in bed, a black New Look kimono type shirt that I will wear as a dressing gown in the summer, also £1.70. A black and white Mela London dress, an owl statue and a handbag. That all came to less than £13.2025 GOALS

So much to read, so little time.4 -
I bought a brown Jane Shilton leather bag in mock croc from local hospice for £8.00.
Lovely quality and great condition.
I'm going to list a leather Debenhams bag on eBay to make room for it (also bought from a charity shop).5 -

I'm all for a real tree but plan like a marine for where from, how to get home, how to keep alive, how to prevent any shed needles staying stuck like shards underfoot in the flooring, and where to plant after. I didn't & was picking needles out of socks for months & the tree died but first marked the soil so it was hard to get other things to grow there. (Freely admit to being a convert to artificial & they last as well as not marking feet...)7
