@CAFCgirl. I spent a long time searching for a replacement for my my much loved CS bought for a fiver denim jacket that I’d had for 10 years. I eventually found a nice Gap one in the CS so keep the faith and you will find one. After that of course you’ll see loads.5

I saw loads prior to wanting one, and then it was *tumbleweed* as soon as I decided I wanted one, but now the Universe is starting to sprinkle ones that are too large or cropped length so I'm hopeful I'm putting out the right vibes and I will be blessed soon enoughWealth is not measured by currency4 -
Not a charity shop but a junk stall which “just wanted rid”… Some time ago Denby did a modest range of ‘Regional’ mugs - solid shape, ovals of local scenes and the unifying county - today Himself silently handed me one to untangle from newsprint “Cumbria”! He just kept handing them to me til I had a Dozen different mugs & the stalllholder tried to sell me the box to carry them, but it was a bit big for me so I settled on the dozen mugs & rewrapped & lugged them back! I even got a Brunel £2 coin in the change, which was an extra kiss from Fate.6

For some time I have been casting slightly covetous eyes at various Whittard ‘chips and dip sets’ Today I found not one but two sets (one still with its box) in two different charity shops. One of the wooden trays needs a little bit of love but nothing a good scrub and then some oil won’t fix and both bought for the bargain price of £10!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Not sure if I mentioned a little while back about finding boys formal wear in my son's size and the next size up and and taking it as a sign that the Ladies Night (Freemason's charity dinner night) invitations would begin again?
Sure enough, email invitation last night.
Makes my heart feel happy even though it's bittersweet for hubby of course (FiL was a Mason and we used to attend 3-4 of these events yearly). DD was ten days old at the last one we attended. She'll be four by the time this one's due to happen.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

I love reading through this thread.
I volunteer in a local hospice charity shop. All our clothing and shoes are £2 unless they are brand new and still tagged.
Coats are either £5 or £8 and men's suits £10.
Our adult books are 4 for £1 and all our children's books are 10p each (we have hundreds).
We sell cheap and have a very high turnover of stock with donations coming in every day. I still love pottering round other charity shops but seem to spend my tie saying 'How much' and 'That would only be so much in ours'.9 -
I totally agree with your price to sell policy. Some charity shops have the same stock fir ages as it’s so highly priced. I’d rather buy 4 books for £1 and re-donate when read than pay £1.50 plus for 1. I’m afraid my local charity shops are so expensive I rarely find anything to buy unless they have a sale. I envy everyone with the cheaper ones.5

I've been to the car boot again... still not sure if it counts here, but I got some excellent bargains: a book for 50p, a new with tags scarf for £1, shorts for 50p and a bundle of yarn also for 50p.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I know these mugs well.
They also did a series with birds and also wild animals.
Great bargain, DFV.3
