Charity Shopping - New to You in '22!

I agree that in general charity shopping has become more expensive (like everything else) But for me, I don’t buy anything except undies and socks new, so for me it is still a bargain and a genuine pleasure. I also operate a policy of returning stuff I no longer like or want. I tried to be strictly one in one out but now I tend to have a soft every few weeks and take a big pile. Sometimes I redonate stuff without having worn it which is a bit naughty but generally I get lots of wear from stuff. For instance I bought some M & S leather trainers a few months back for £5 and they are still on sale in M & S at £49.99. So even though I do spend a lot relatively speaking it’s much less and more sustainable than buying new.
This week Berksha prince of wales check high waisted trousers £3.50. The ankles are elasticated like trackies but I’m going to take it out.
Airforce blue Addidas leggings £5
A black M and S jersey long sleeved top with neck tie £3.50.8 -

I went back and the coat was still there. It fit him perfectly so that was a good buy for £10. Thomas Nash brand. I'm not wrapping it up as he may as well just start wearing it now.:)7

Infrequent buyer and therefore poster, but eager lurker here! What do you think of this - Hospice Shop in Kidderminster has a large rug (3x4m) in their window for £1000 😯 - couldn’t see any sign on it of the make/origin other than an addition to the price tag that states 2006 - £4950…..presumably what it was bought for 16 years ago. Would anyone spend that much on a charity shop item? I’d have thought if it really was a valuable item they’d be better off sending it to auction.AA5

So much to read, so little time.4 -
I’m guessing by the price, the rug is hand knotted and hence a one off. Think of it as a piece of art.5
