    What do you think of this - Hospice Shop in Kidderminster has a large rug (3x4m) in their window for £1000 😯 - couldn’t see any sign on it of the make/origin other than an addition to the price tag that states 2006 - £4950…..presumably what it was bought for 16 years ago.  Would anyone spend that much on a charity shop item? I’d have thought if it really was a valuable item they’d be better off sending it to auction.

    If it's a Persian AND has been professionally cleaned prior to sale, it may well be worth it. I would spend that much on a second hand rug in mint condition. Used and not cleaned - forget it. Post a pic if you can?
