I try my best to have a fiscal fast for the first 3 months of the year - completing my tax return in January usually helps! I have plenty of food in the cupboards to be getting through. However I will not be denying myself any YS bargains, nor can I resist a chazzer bargain. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -

I'd like to join in to please. I just plan to by fresh food as needed & run down pantry, freezer , cupboards etc. No unnecessary spending & already trying to avoid all sales. The only thing I "need " is some new walking boots as my very old ones leak so I've set a budget, but there wont be anything else. I could do with a haircut but I'm going to wait until at least Feb.6

I would love to join in too please! I feel that our spending had gotten a bit out of control over the past year, so I’d like to reign it in a bit. With everything in the news about rising costs that are coming this year, I hope reducing spending now will help absorb at least some of the costs.
Happy New frugalling year!Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Will be watching this thread with interest!!Trying to be careful with money just now -went through a tough time 3 months or so ago and thankfully got grant from union benevolent fund which has really helped towards bills. Have kept a spending diary for the last 2 months to analyse where the money is going ( am already careful!) and am aiming to have some NSD's. all hints and tips welcome at this stage!!!
